Well, certainly from my experience, they are a cut above the rest. I used B&F for both sales and lettings and from day 1 with Pete, I knew that this was going to be a postive experience and I was not disappointed. Excellent company, with both sales & lettings having a very professional approach with a smooth and seamless transitional relationship between the two departments. Jaime and her team/colleagues were great and really looked after me during a frustrating period. Thanks guys...keep up the good work.

The team at B&W have been absolutely fantastic in renting out my property - the communication levels have been second to none, and Sophia and Jaime are really on top of their game in all aspects of letting. They've kept me updated on the process and are always on hand to deal with any issues in a efficient manner - I would 100% recommend working with them for all letting needs.

Hunting for flats in big cities is always tiring, and too many letting agents out there care very little about service or the general experience of prospective tenants. The reviews for most letting agents in Birmingham and other big cities rarely exceed an average of 3 stars for a reason... Barrows & Forrester really are a ray of sunshine in a sector where tenants usually face stress and uncertainty until the moment the contract is finally signed. They are super responsive, well-organised, friendly and forthcoming in their communications. Our agent Sophia was incredibly professional and patient, the whole experience really couldn't have been any smoother! Since we moved in a week ago, the team at B&F (particularly Sophia and Caitlin) has been always approachable and proactive in dealing with any queries. There clearly is a reason why they are the highest-rated agent in Birmingham (at least as far as I can tell). We would recommend them to anyone looking to rent in Birmingham and the West Midlands.

We have just used Barrows & Forrester for our recent move to Birmingham. Sophia ably showed us around the property on our initial viewing, and Chris was a calm, facilitating and understanding voice through the contract negotiations, which was hugely appreciated. The whole team helped us out while he was away on annual leave, and we have moved into our new property without a hitch. We would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone looking to move in the Birmingham area.

While finding it difficult moving from Nottingham to Birmingham and finding places that satisfied my personal idea of a flat, I managed to find Barrows & Forester. They helped in finding a place that suited my taste and also helped with extra things I required. They communicate very very well, I have dealt with many agencies but none can top the response times from Barrows & Forrester (Especially their agent Chris who has been wonderful so far). It has only been a week since I've moved to my new place but I can certainly say that the only letting agents I would recommend to family, friends, and even to strangers would be Barrows & Forrester.

Following a move from abroad, I was having a difficult time finding a rental in Birmingham. Hamad was by far the most responsive and engaged agent I dealt with and got me into a perfect flat on my first visit! There were several other administrative technicalities of letting a flat locally that I was not aware of, and Hamad was very supportive in guiding me through the process/making everything as smooth as possible. Worst Service and Estate agent in Birmingham - don't waste your time. I recently reserved a flat to rent with Barrows & Forrester. After the holding deposit had been paid they were impossible to get hold of. A week later they told me they had rented the property to another person. On calling them for an explanation the Lettings Manager was rude and aggressive and couldn't confirm if they would refund the deposit. Unprofessional and just a terrible experience.

Dear Arianne, I feel I have to respond to your review and explain the actual truth as you have seemed to miss some important points out and actually lie in your review. You had originally booked to see an apartment for rent on the 28/3/22 but had to cancel this appointment. You booked a new appointment on the 1/4/22 - We had many people booked to view this property and to proceed a deposit would have to be paid and if unsuccessful as the landlord has the final decision the deposit would be paid back. There was various correspondence and on the 4/4/22 you emailed regarding when the property would be available as there is a tenant in the property. You also wanted the landlord to remove all the furniture in the property or just the sofas and you would arrange payment that day. A reply was sent on the same day explaining the current tenants do not leave the property until the 8/5/22 and we need a few days to turn the property around for cleaning etc so the earliest would be the 10th May. We also said we will ask the landlord about the furniture but it was doubtful as the landlord has no where to store the furniture. The landlord made his decision yesterday (7/4/22) and unfortunately your application was not chosen. You were emailed on the same day (for clarity this is yesterday as I type this reply) and it was confirmed the 1 weeks holding deposit will be refunded and to please forward your bank details so this can be made. We also informed you that if anything changes or if you want to view anything else please do not hesitate to contact us. This morning you called and your opening line was "I've paid a deposit but not heard an update" As clearly stated above and if google allowed I would post the screenshot of the emails and upload the call recording so others can see and hear the truth. If we drop the ball then I am happy to apologise and make amends however it just seems as the landlord chose another tenant you have written a review which is totally false and incorrect. As I said at the beginning I feel I have tell the full story which may be a little embarrassing for yourself but other can now see the exact truth and make their own decisions. We are still waiting for you to provide your bank details so we can refund the deposit to you. If you can reply to the email sent on the 7/4/22 at 07:48am this would be most grateful. Barrows and Forrester were clear and straightforward when letting me know the process for selling my house. I dealt with both James and Robyn and they were both attentive to my needs and answered any queries I had throughout the process promptly and with knowledge. My house sold within a couple of weeks and I could not fault the service I received throughout. Couldn’t recommend them enough!
