GoogleHorrible customer service. Update 9/10/2020 as a result of me leaving a review, I’ve been informed they’re playing hostage with my deposit until they legally have to return it to me. Completely unethical business.

Dear Mr Quezada As we do not manage your property and have not done so for over a year, we are extremely puzzled as to why you have left us such a negative review. All matters in relation to your property are handled by your Landlord not by ourselves and therefore should be taken up with your Landlord directly. In the meantime, it would only be fair that you remove this review. Thank you

GoogleSo we emailed about a place to rent never got back to me, called them twice left a voicemail never heard back, finally got a email back 2 days later emailed straight back and heard nothing back and we could tell no one was interested because the rent went down 2 after our first email and got rid of it with no communication just unfair and just not good at replying. GoogleMy family worked with Steven Amoss, after calling almost every letting agency around. He is absolutely the best. He went above and beyond to make sure we found a place we were comfortable with. He spent so much time with us and was so patient. Don't waste your time anywhere else, call him first!

She was always available to help with any queries during our purchase and she made sure that we always knew what was happening during the process as our solicitors were not providing us with any communication. Megan has been an absolute delight and had helped keep us sane during the entire process. GoogleWe bought a house through Balmforth and the agents there just couldn't be more helpful! We particularly dealt with Megan Norton and from viewing house, to making offer, to recommending a mortgage advisor that suited our need, to keeping us up to date with progress and chasing up as well, and conversing between vendor and us, and even to the aftercare of purchasing the house - They have been a diamond and it's made what purchasing a house a headache and it's bumpy process with covid and what not, into a relatively joyful experience overall - more so after we finally get the keys! Their friendly yet professional approach is second to none. We've also seen Matt a few times when we went back and look at the house once the purchasing was underway, and they were also so helpful with slotting us in with the time convenient for us so we can measure out the place for new furniture. If we ever buy a house again I would want to use their services for sure! With a toddler and a baby coming, they've made this process as smooth as they can for us and we really recommend them. GoogleHaving recently purchased a property through Balmforth’s, we were so impressed with their service and communication that we used them to also rent out both our other properties. They were both rented out within a week and their paperwork and checks were excellent. We would have absolutely no hesitation in using them again and recommending them to others.

GoogleWe used Balmforth to sell our current home and buy a new build home. On our house sale Balmforth were brilliant by carrying out a 3d video our of the house and were very knowledgeable on the local housing market. With the purchase of our new build house Balmforth were very helpful also and were able to help us view the new home several times too. GoogleThey manage my rented property. Ceiling came down in the hall last July due to a water tank leak in the attic. Ceiling is still down, insulation exposed. Other repairs not done. Nice people but do not look after tenants.

Although we manage the property, the Landlord had asked us to use their appointed contractor and despite us instructing the works, they did not carry out the required works. Since your review, we believe the repairs have been carried out satisfactorily and again, apologies for the lengthy delay.

GoogleAppalling service. We have been lied to you and mislead multiple times we’ve viewed one house with them and they said it was pet friendly we fell in love with it and we put in an offer only for them to tell us after we put in our offer that it was not pet friendly. Then we decided to view another house with them and before we even viewed it we made sure it was pet friendly only for three days before we move in to get a phone call saying the landlord wasn’t aware of our dogs. This nearly cost us our tenancy and nearly made us homeless. I cannot give enough reasons not to use this company please save yourself some stress and go to literally any other agent.

Hi Emily, We are sorry to hear that you have had issues with our services. For the first property you were wanting to take, the Landlord had initially told us that he would take pets but unfortunately, he then changed his mind. Whilst this reflects badly on us, there is unfortunately, nothing that we could do. For the second property, The Landlord seemed to be unaware that you had two pets and this did cause some confusion. This was satisfactorily resolved and your tenancy therefore commenced as planned. I can assure you that we would never want to mislead any prospective tenants and we are very much in the hands of our Landlords decision making process. We wish you and your two pets an enjoyable and happy tenancy.

GooglePossibly the worst estate agents in East Anglia in my opinion. We were interested in a property in Barton Mills. Originally advertised "with Land", it in fact had an ok sized garden. Also advertised as "No Chain", but only because the owners have not even started to look for a new home. When we viewed the property the woman from Balmforth arrived, did not introduce herself, had no interest in showing the property or giving any information about it. She spent the whole time on her phone and was disinterested. We have had no follow-up phone call from Balmforth to ask our opinion of the property. A terrible service.
