Avant have no remorse for people and no customer service when your house sale falls through hoping to buy one of theirs when deposits are paid for as well .Very unprofessional company, I was warned about them but ignored it .

I dealt with a lovely lady called Shamola who went out of her way to assist me in viewings as I was travelling from outside the UK. Even when she was on holiday she kept an eye on my itinerary to ensure everything was in place. If Shamola is anything to go by Avant Homes has one of the best customer services I have experienced.

We have just secured our first home at Chaucer's Green in Doncaster.James who we have dealt with has been exceptional each time we have visited. As our site does not have a show houses or a sales office, we had to visit another local site for viewing show homes and the site details. From what we have seen in Avant Homes so far is that they do things very differently to the rest, both the layout of their houses and the way they deal with the customers. We know we have a long way to go in the process, for now its a massive thumbs up.

We have just bought our Avant home on the Millbrook site. This Avant home will also be our forever home. The build is beautiful and is everything we ever could have asked for and more. We could not thank Amanda enough as she helped us overcome each hurdle every step of the way. She is an absolute asset to the company and we would not have secured the house was it not for her.

GoogleHate to leave a negative review, but at this point I feel it's the only course of action! Saw a showhome 16/11 and put a deposit down for our plot after a pleasant and exciting appointment, was told we would have a week to change our minds and be able to receive our deposit back in full, they sent us confirmation forms to sign ASAP in order to get things rolling, we replied on 18/11 with questions regarding some of the details on the forms before we would sign anything, got nothing back from Avant to our questions, by 21/11, we had changed our minds, nothing had been signed and so we called and emailed Avant to let them know we were cancelling and wanted our deposit back. It has now been 10 weeks since we cancelled our reservation, and after loads of calls to them and emails to chase and requests for calls and updates, we've yet to receive our deposit back, or notification that our deposit is even being processed. Had to physically go down to their office on 25/11 in order to get a cancellation form sent to me (which should have been sent on 21/11), which I promptly completed and returned. 17/12 they asked for my bank information to process the refund (which I didn't see and respond to until 28/12, so that delay is on me) but after more chasing emails and calls from myself through January I still have no update regards the refund of my deposit. If you decide to reserve a plot, be sure you don't change your mind!!

5 star service from Greenhall Village estate in Blantyre. We secured our home in January and moved in end of April. Throughout the whole process Jacqueline provided real friendly help, support and communication - which really put us at ease and gave us full confidence in our purchase (as buying a home can be stressful, as we all know!) Jacqueline went over and above to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for looking after us!! (and for the laughs). From moving in, only a few minor snags, which Jim and team have started actioning. Good regular communication here too. Jim has been really helpful and engaging from the day we moved in. We have full confidence that any issues will be resolved and that Jim and his team are on hand to help. Avant have provided a really great quality home and style of living - the spec is great, with fab options for us to choose.We are delighted with our new home - thanks again 😃

Where do i start?.... previous review... sales all good, aftersales all good to moving in. Then came the site manager Steve! We had a few snags, as expected and Steve had them resolved almost instantly, and when something new pops up he has it looked at and sorted very quickly. Read some reviews on here that arent so good, but if youre looking at the fitzwilliam grange site in Huddersfield, then you have nothing to worry about! Not only has Steve been, amazing, responsive, patient, and very helpful. But the site is also kept very clean, the lads are polite, all go out their way to say hello etc. The whole site team so far have gone aboove and beyond for us, and this is clearly in part due to site leadership.

We bought out gorgeous new home in Dargavel Village, Bishopton in April 2021. We had the most amazing sales advisor Colina who talked us through every step of the way. Moving from Belfast was challenging as we never got to see the house, it was all virtual and Colina done an amazing job by putting us at ease. She would call and update us, send photos of outside and put our minds at rest. When we arrived to get our keys she was just as excited for us that we finally had our forever home. She is an asset to your company.

Before I start getting to the bad stuff I’ll cover the good. The sales team were very good and Lisa was particularly nice. Lisa was extremely helpful and answered all our questions. The customer services team have been helping us which is giving us hope. James has been very helpful and sympathetic and we feel like we get somewhere every time we deal with him. The bad.... on our fifth day in our dream house we had a flood on the ground floor. After a quick investigation, we found our manhole drains to be full of grit, concrete blocks, rubble and various other items (got lots of photos). The flood was sewage backing up through our toilet, sink and washing machine drain. It was obvious the drains had not been checked as they were used as a skip. We have lots of time stamped photos of the flood and the damage. We waited weeks for the damage to be repaired so we were living in a part building site. We’ve had a snag list that is ever growing but to give Avant their due they have fixed a couple of items but the list keeps getting bigger. The spec of some of the white goods are brilliant but the quality of the house is shocking! You pay the price of a high end builder but you get the quality of the lower end. My previous home was a Barratt and the quality was 100 times better than our new Avant home. I’ve got loads of photos of the poor quality from a terrible staircase, nail heads showing in ceiling, scratched windows, gaps in skirtings, poor finishing with bathroom taps and so on ...... it’s a shame because the house has the potential to be our dream house but the quality lets it down. It would be interesting to see if they’re actually using qualified tradesman? Or maybe the QA from Avant isn’t high priority. Whoever laid our turf couldn’t be bothered - they laid the turf over drain covers and huge boulders. Needles to say the grass started to die. Would I recommend Avant to anyone? No way. Is the layout of the house good? Yes. If I could turn back time would I buy the house? No way. Do I feel ripped off? Absolutely!I wish I could leave my contact details on this review as I’d happily share all the photos.

As a first time buyer at Avant I think they are terrible so many problems with the house snagged at 136 faults with the property shoddy shoddy workman ship all over, the plastering , painting, the lawn, brickwork are awful. They didn't clean it for me heating wasn't working doors left wide open, radiators not fitted to wall properly lots of problems. site manager wants sacking. a disgrace they think its acceptable to hand over a house like this and so far haven't rectified any of it. stay away from avant homes there's much better out there.

The staff are helpful, pleasant and efficient. Cannot fault the avant homes, offering much more than other house developers with outstanding modern fixtures and fittings which would usually cost in excess of thousands with other developers.

The directors block your emails!!!! Honestly, I’ve now had my email blocked, so I can’t even raise my issues. (You may think this is because I’ve sent abuse or multiple emails, wrong! I’ve sent two emails, just two, and both about very real matters, a s I’ve been blocked!!!!!!!!!!!!)The whole experience is awful! For your own sanity, do not scroll past the 1 star ratings for this awful company, (there are many, and we can’t all be wrong!) avoid avoid avoid.Visit the Mickleover derby Cotchett Park site, knock on ANYONE’s door ... they’ll all tell you of their diabolical experiences at the hands of Avant!

Been waiting ages for them to sort out our lawn aka the boggy marsh. They cannot be bothered to get back to you. The lawn clearly slopes incorrectly ie not towards the drain and as a result, we have what appears to be a swimming pool in our back garden. The grass is dead, full of moss and squelches with every step. The grounds work team came out months ago to look at it and we’re still waiting on their report and get fobbed off constantly. The garden is unusable so not happy at all.

This review is based purely on the sales staff & appalling service given. The quality of the house is great & the builders on site are fantastic but I’m just furious now by the catalogue of errors made by Lynn & her team. In January after a complaint I raised it was agreed I would have double slatted fencing around my garden but when I moved in it’s only been done single slatted to one side & not done at all at the other, looks an absolute sight for sore eyes. I was also told I could no longer have an integrated microwave because they changed supplier & agreed to extend my decking to the width of the house as compensation. Unfortunately, they only extended it to one side & are now backtracking on what they agreed. It looks ridiculous & I’m so disappointed. Dealing with these sales women has honestly just been a horrible experience from start to finish & despite the house being beautiful, I would really think twice about ever dealing with Avant again. I shouldn’t be in tears 3 days after moving in because the staff no longer care now that they have your money. They just continually make what should be a pleasant experience stressful & they are completely underhanded.

The buying of the property was abysmal to say the least, no communication, no updates and no customer service for such a large purchase. We didn’t pull out as loved the layout of the house and location. We thought once we were in at least we would be in the house and we could forget about Avant... how wrong was we.The day we moved in we thought we could put the horrible purchasing experience behind us, well that’s what we thought, but what comes with purchasing an Avant Home isn’t just terrible sales service but a billion snags. Assurances were given that all would be rectified, ha! Don’t fall for that one! You have more chance of seeing a pink and blue zebra! The customer service Manager is arrogant and rude. You don’t get responses to emails to sort snags and when you chase it up politely you get spoken to rudely. Well you may think, escalate your complaint! Well don’t bother as the escalation process isn’t worth the paper it is written on as they don't reply to you either! All in a terrible experience. What makes me laugh they will probably respond to this review swiftly for more information! How about speaking to your Customer Service Manager Nav and ask why many neighbours are of the same opinion of him on the development. Address that, and issues may stand a chance of getting addressed and reviews start going in the right direction for the East Midlands. (Oh and don’t forget to speak to Lauren as well as she is just as bad as him).... Their job role is customer service. They don’t know what customer service means.
