We bought our house from Avant 10 years ago and have no issues however, the land behind my house is owned by Avant and there are old trees which hang over my garage. They have potential to cause damage to my and neighbouring properties. My husband and I have both emailed Avant to ask if the trees could be cut back to prevent any damage, very disappointed that we have had no reply.

TrustpilotI would not recommend AVANT homes to…
I would not recommend AVANT homes to anyone, as I do not wish for anyone else to deal with the issues we have had and still remain unresolved. We were not given information by sales representatives prior to signing NHQC drawings for our property about the codes which indicate the colour for the roof for our property, we were promised to have a certain colour by one sales representative and were under the impression that this was what we were getting. We later realised only after the roof went on, that we had the roof colour that we did not agree on. It was too late, there was no option to change the roof or choose a different property and we were just informed that we are not being compensated in anyway by AVANT for the lack of clear communication. We were dealing with three different sales representatives, discussing extras and there were items missed on the extras/ choices invoice, which we had to go over and sign three times. Again, a clear lack of communication between the team as well. Please be made aware that there will be no customer compensation from AVANT, should issues occur.

Claire Firby - what a superstar.This lady at Avant has got us to where we need to be.We started the process in July 24 with our property sold, however the chain was complex and Clare took the reins and liased with our Estate Agent to get us to exchange.The whole team have had patience and provided us with loads of support but Clare has stood out for me.We are looking forward to completion on the 19th of December and a new chapter of our life in a new home.

TrustpilotGood end result but it will cost you more than the price of the house.
We really love our home, but it has been a long journey getting everything right that hadn't been done properly. We are now left with one snag that Avant have had about 5 attempts at fixing and we're resigned to living with it. I would give a higher score, if it weren't for certain departments within the company. I have wasted about 20 days of leave over 3 years, as has my partner, in failed appointments and all they would say in the office was, 'I can only apologise'. Well, no, you could reimburse me for lost earnings because you can't be bothered to organise your work properly. Sometimes people just wouldn't turn up, sometimes they sent the wrong company and sometimes they just weren't able to fix the issue.We thought we had a leaking roof at one point and it took the customer service team over 3 months of back and forth and 5 days of wasted leave to react to it. The damage could have been ridiculous at this point if it hadn't been a dry few months. It took 3 appointments for them to paint a 30cm x 30cm patch on the ceiling. I eventually just painted it myself. We've recently had our banister fixed and they booked their technician as well as hiring an external company to do the same job, we had 3 visits to make sure the work definitely needed to be done before they came and did a 15 minute job. So that was 4 appointments for a 15 minute job.. nice one.Just bare in mind when you're buying a new home, you aren't buying a finished product, far from it. They will waste your time and unfortunately, 'all they can do is apologise'.

We turned up on spec but Lewis was very helpful and allowed us to take a look at the Showhome. We were interested in The Bilborough currently being marketed and Lewis explained the nearest Showhome we could view that would give us a feel of the space in The Bilborough was The Thoresby at Greenlock. We decided to have a drive across to take a look.Lewis advised he would send us details and allow us to have a look at The Bilborough in the new year as it is currently still under construction.Overall really friendly and helpful.

I have been over to Bennerley View at NG16 today because I recieved an email that included the following:'If you live locally, consider the area around Bennerley View home, work in the area or have a local connection you will be eligible for one of these fantastic new homes with a 20% discount! The Discount Market Sale scheme offers access to quality homes while empowering buyers with 100% ownership and financial savings, making the dream of owning a new home more feasible and affordable'.I was informed in the Marketing Office that the houses are actually shared ownership with 20% of each house being owned by the local council. surely this is dishonest advertising!! A wasted journey for me!

Finished the development and made a disgrace of a mess to the front of my property and grass. Trued calling left messages and no one cares. The development is at Pilley South Yorkshire. I would add pictures but there's no option.
