Terrible customer service. We have been left with an abandoned development not built to an acceptable standard as to be adopted by the local authorities and consequently also neglected by Avant. We are left in no man’s land. Not finished by the developers and not adopted by the authorities, and nobody cares! AVOID AVANT AT ALL COSTS!!

Avant Homes have built a lovely home that I am happy to live in and dealt with my snagging issues when they arose.HOWEVER!!!!!The upkeep of the Development has been poor and the state of the land around the houses is well below the expected standard.We need Avant to improve the communal areas, tarmac roads, remove overgrown weeding and dead plants and then hand it over to Wynyard Grange so that they can take over the maintenance of the land. The residents here are in a state of limbo and have to put up with the eye sore that is our housing estate.

I too live on the Wynyard Grange development and I feel completely let down by Avant. Our general experience with our house was good (multiple issues that took a long time to address but eventually did) but that was before there was a change in management. There has been lots of broken promises, no estate maintenance leading to overgrown grass and weeds, broken tarmac pavements, blocked drains from builders rubbish, roads and paths not finished, damaged fencing, flooding, missing and dead trees and generally left in a mess. The estate should have been adopted by the estate management company at least a year ago, but due to Avants neglect and unwillingness to bring the site up to an acceptable standard we are left paying high maintenance fees, high council tax and yet receiving no service by anyone. Now Avant have received our money they just don’t care.

Bought a house at Wynyard, promised the world and get nothing. We pay a service fee and have pot holes, unfinished paths and we even have to cut the communal grass. No secondary school, shop, bridge or children’s play park… it’s ridiculous, DO NOT BUY FROM AVANT.Wynyard park do not help the situation,all complaints are always deflected back to Avant even though it’s their land.Nothing will be done regarding the bridge over the A689 until a tragedy happens, they’re putting lives at risk.

Poor build quality. Terrible customer service. Tell you they’ll turn up on X date to resolve an issue and don’t show. Tell you a pack of lies when you’re looking to buy. Don’t manage the estate when they’re contractually obliged to (grass cutting, repairs etc). Absolute shambles of a company. Avoid at all cost

Unfortunately, you can't give a zero, so it makes Avant ratings look better than the real value.This is my second Avant Home because the first wasn’t built to standard! When I moved into this house nearly 5 year ago, I left a good review because they did a good job of getting the second house right. HOWEVER, 5 years on and I'm still getting fobbed off with "sorry we can't do anything as you are out of warranty" (even though I've been reporting issues since moving in. We've just got the main road in; we have unfinished paths; blocked drains; missing and dead planting; absolutely no landscaping maintenance (grass cutting and weeding). Our estate cannot be adopted by the local management company because Avant have failed to meet the required specification for it to be handed over. My property suffers flooding from the adjoining field, has damaged my drainage and patio and I can’t maintain my garden. We pay fees and see nothing for it! Residents have been forced to maintain the landscaping as you could lose a small child in it! We paid a much higher house price premium to live on this development with an annual ‘estate’ charge. We bought a dream, oops sorry…. VISION and have lived a NIGHTMARE (especially where my house is located). It’s going to take a miracle to appease disgruntled residents of this community. FINISH OUR ESTATE AND GIVE US WHAT WE PAID FOR!

If there were an option to rate Avant a pitiful zero, I assure you, I wouldn't hesitate. As a resident suffering for far too long, I've witnessed our once promising estate deteriorate, rotting in the chaos left in Avant's wake.The problems are glaringly obvious, the pathways are disfigured by damaged tarmac, presenting a clear hazard to pedestrians. Our drainage systems, ironically, are clogged with the very debris discarded by the builders, transforming our anticipated rainfalls into potential floods, rather than the nourishing events they ought to be.Our public spaces, expected to be verdant retreats, now mimic overgrown jungles. The neat hedgerows now appear as if something has been brutally dragged through them, symbolizing the neglect we've been subjected to.The fences, meant to secure and adorn our spaces, are in a pitiful state. The trees - once symbols of life and beauty - stand as painful reminders of broken promises. Many have died, others are simply wonky and damaged, a stark contrast to the thriving greenery we were assured.Avant's final act was to build the last house on this estate, then without a second glance, they abandoned the site. Their neglect has been a persisting pain for us ever since.Every resident was wooed with grand promises, only to be disillusioned by the harsh reality, a far cry from the assurances we received. We've been left to grapple with the aftermath of Avant's negligence, with no visible pathway to restoration.I voice these words not out of impetuousness, but from years of harsh experience - AVANT IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED. If you are considering purchasing a home from them, I implore you to tread cautiously. Don't let their sugar-coated promises cloud your judgment of their potential actions.

Avant Homes Have NOT Delivered what they have sold/promised . Be very careful in choosing a New Avant Home on the WYNYARD Development without speaking to the residents First.The upkeep of the Development has been shocking & we are dealing with Broken promises By them constantly.

I am a resident of Wynyard Grange, by Avant Homes. Having made enquiries with Wynyard Park, I have been advised that the maintenance of Wynyard Grange is entirely your responsibility because the estate has not yet been handed over, or indeed accepted, by Wynyard Park Management.We have Unacceptable length of grass and weeds around the whole of the Avant development. Dead Trees and planting that have been in this condition and reported whilst you were still building over 3 years ago. Flooding / pooling of water to properties adjacent to a neighbouring field. Overall significantly poor maintenance of the development that you walked away from. This is a true reflection of your actual customer service that you provided with our home over 6 years ago when we moved to this estate appointments not for filled, remedial work shoddy & being advised either to contact NHBC or put in a formal complaint through your process which falls in deaf ears. Take your money and run and never look back

The best way to deal with Avant, is too assume everything is a lie. 7 years to surface a road, constant fight over ground maintenance. Endless lists of snagging, with a standard ‘home owner’s responsibility’ even when under guarantee. 7 years on, still uncovering dodgy wiring, repairing leak, bodged gutter… the list is endless!

Estate should have been handed over to the estate management company at least 1 year ago, but due to Avants complete neglect and unwillingness to bring the site up to standard we are left paying fees and receiving no service.Contacted them regarding shared driveway being laid wrong and told nothing they can do despite them admitting it was wrong when sending me the drawing showing private and shared areas.Needs addressing!!

Live near their estate in Wynyard and the public areas are a mess. The poor residents have been forced to maintain the area so their children can play. Been told it’s their responsibility as the site has not been adopted yet. Very sad as the estate could have been a great place to live.

If I could give Avant a zero I would. Our estate can not be adopted by our local management because Avant has left in area in such a mess. We have broken tarmac pavements, blocked drains from builders rubbish, overgrown public green spaces that resemble a jungle, damaged fencing, missing/dead trees. Avant finished building their last house on the estate, packed up and washed their hands of us. This has been going on for the last 4 or 5 years! Residents were sold lies and broken promises. DO NOT TRUST AVANT!!

Avant Promise the world but don’t deliver.I have had five leaks in the first 3 years, the last few they weren’t interested in as much upside of two year warranty.Land to the side of the property that was theirs was raised randomly which now causes flooding to my gardens and garage.Has took them three years to put a surface down to my road & the green spaces have just been left to turn into a jungle.Absolutely awful, will Never buy Avant again.

I am a first-time buyer so buying my first home has been somewhat daunting but Rob left no stone unturned and I'm now counting down the days to completion.
