if I could give less than 1 star I would, this company needs shutting down , 2 and a half years I've had this miss fortune of owning an Avant property, the most painful experience of having issue after issue fixed/ not fixed by the customer service team has been dreadful, time consuming and so inadequate its another level!clearly they have no training at all and look to get out of fixing any issues, god help a buyer who no longer has an active sale on the site, they really then dont give a rats ass to fix!what's hilarious is even there work men have the same opinion and on multiple times have said how shocking the customer service team is and now Mr persimmon has taken over the build and way they are conducting them selves has dropped furtherTHIS IS THEIR OWN STAFF! we are still having issues and suspect this will continue if you have already gone to far and started the buying process please get a snagging report, take pictures of everything and do not take a phone call as confirmation of anything always ensure they email you confirmation i mean to be honest even when they do that they still wont follow through!special mention to chris who has won worst customer service adviser of the year! thanks again!if you are considering buying Avant my advice.... DO NOT BUY AVANT!!!!!!!!!!! run!

Unfortunately cannot do a 1 star. Do not buy a property from these guys.absolute joke and a half! Had a leak from our downstairs toilet, Stewart’s plumbing came round and said they think the drains are blocked and will let Avant homes know and once they inspect and report back they will Rod the toilet. Waited about 3 weeks before I drove around the estate asking for a site manager. I found a site manager called Jason who said he would come around later in which he did and inspected the drains and said there isn’t a problem and he will contact Stewart’s plumbing and get this sorted for us. After another couple weeks no contact from them. In the meantime I have called Stewart’s plumbing who have advised they are still waiting on a response from Avant homes. I then had to make a direct complaint in order for Avant homes to contact me in which they did and I explained everything to them and they said they will get this sorted. In total of about 2 months from when we told avant home our toilet has a leak we have had no contact from neither parties. Our toilet is still not fixed. Avant homes get this sorted!!!!!!

We are now in our new Avant home after untold problems during the build! We were at our wits end and wanted to pull out as we were quite within our right as the build was a whole year late!!Then two months before we were due to move in we had the pleasure of meeting three people.Matt James the Site Manager: Thank you for all your help in getting us the house we expected. Nothing has ever been too much trouble.When we first met you your words were " I an a man of my word and I will get things sorted" you are a man of your word and you did!!Just watching the respect your workers have for you on the site as well as the residents is wonderful.Again Graham and myself cant thank you enough.You redeemed my faith in the company.Neal the Assistant Manager: What a great person you are, nothing was too much trouble when we has the water leak in the front room. you were at the door at 8.00 every morning to tell us which workmen were coming for the day to do the repairs and snags. They came and did what you said they were coming to do. Polite men who respected our home as did you.All this for us and always with a smile. Thank you ever so much.Caroline Jarvis Sales: You not only saved the day because as you know we were quite ready to call it a day and walk away from the house. Caroline you were in our corner sending email after email sorting things out for us. Your advice and help was invaluable. You always had an open door policy and made time for us, answered our phone calls as well as emails on your days when working or not.If only the rest of our experience was as pleasant buying our house would have been bliss.I hope we have made a forever friend in you, you are an absolute sweetheart.

Very poor site supervision when building has resulted in much unneccessary rectification work afterwards. Problems with roads and sewers still ongoing after 4 years.The designs are good but workmanship is poor. Avant aftersales service is shocking.It is better to do the job right first time but Avant don't seem to realise that.Poor choice of sub-contractors and poor site supervision are responsible for all their issues. It would be a help if they looked after their customers properly but not the case I'm afraid.

I MOVED INTO MY HOME WITH SMASHED WARDROBES , STAINED CARPETS , NO SPARKLE CLEAN , UNPLUMBED DISHWASHER , PIPES NOT FITTED PROPERLY, VARNISH STAINS ON MY DOORS , DOORS NOT PAINTED PROPERLY, LIGHTS STILL NOT INSTALLED I HAVE PAID FOR!! I saw the bad reviews before buying an Avant home and thought it cannot be that bad. The design of the house itself is really nice but as soon as you have handed over the money the service you receive is shocking. I have been in my home now 16 months and the snagging has still not been completed. The communication is terrible and I would never buy from them again in the future!

We brought a 4 bed Detached at the Clay Cross site. I can’t fault the builder. We exchanged contracts with in 4 weeks. The house was ready in time and very little snagging required. I have been selling New Homes for over 25yrs, so my expectations are high. I just want to say I huge thank you to the Site Manager Ben, Liz in Customer care, James and Andrea on Sales. They go above and beyond. Love the house and the Build and finish I can’t really fault. My little snagging list has been dealt with very quickly thank you Liz. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I can recommend Avant as my experience was completely different to most of negative comments. It might be due to the fact that our house is on different site as I was happy with the finish. We arranged snagging ( what I will always recommend ) but no major issues were identified, and the few more significant ones were quickly rectified. There were some minor snags that were noted, although Avant is proactively addressing all of them so really I there is nothing I could complain. John and Christine are always very helpful.

Avant homes were ok when we first moved 2 and a half years ago. So since the take over customer services are worst than useless They don’t respond to emails and when you do get them it’s a I will call you back I. 10 mins as I need tm check something and I’m still waiting h as usual for the call 3 weeks later . I have a rusty towel rail in main bathroom that I have complained about to 18 months only to be told , after the two year warranty is up ,, that’s it’s moisture damage !!!! It’s a towel rail in a bathroom . This is just one issue they are trying to get out of . Stay clear of a company that has changed and the customer is no longer a priority but profits obviously are ,

There have been several issues with the house in which they have fixed most. I have noticed the more expensive replacements they have been resistant to.2 months after the snagging period (2 years) has ended (1 month of which I was in hospital) I noticed a new issue with the exterior building work. Who knows when this issue happened. Avant have refused to look into it when it is clearly a quality building issue. The metal work that covers the join between the roof and wall has come off on its own. The mono block work is now exposed.

Well, I have now made the move and have been living in my new home for one week!Although Jane moved on to another site in March, her replacement James has continued the excellent service with communication being very good, regular and friendly.I had heard of a very negative experience at a nearby Avant development which prompted me to commission a professional snagging company but they found my home to be of a high standard with very few issues to be investigated.This hasn't surprised me having met Steve, the site manager, who has been most accommodating, keeping me informed of all impending works that will impact me and my home. When he says he will do something, he does it.The moving in experience has in large part been very relaxed, to which I can only thank and credit Avant for contributing to.Keep up the good work and you will have many more happy and satisfied customers.

Disgusting experience! Been an absolute farce for the last 18months! Nothing is covered under their warranty and just tell you to go to the nhbc. Like anyone with a job or family has time to do this. Talk rubbish about excellent customer care but this is a blatant lie! Wish I would have seen the reviews before wasting money on this joke of a house!

When my wife and I were researching to buy a house in Nottingham while we were in the USA last year, Julie of Wilbur Chase team (Avant Homes) was the only one, amongst 12 other developments I emailed, who responded in detail the processes involved in buying a house in the UK, including contacts of financial advisors and conveyance solicitors. That led to my initial visit to the showhome back in Aug last year. The site manager Lee together with Julie took us for a tour and gave a very professional introduction to the different features of various house types. That led to our reservation on our house 2 days after the visit. Then they ran the extra mile to spend hours going through the extras and options with us that week even before we exchanged contracts because we had to fly back to the USA. Months flew by: Julie and the site team kept regular contact via email on the progress of the construction and we got our keys last Thursday, all according to schedule.
