Michael Jones recently acted for me on the sale of my mother's property, they had a buyer in mind when I initially approached them so I was happy to negotiate a slightly discounted commission amount. As the sale progressed I needed advice as to an EPC report - the manager was happy to recommend a guy that they use all the time and implied that it was important to get this done quickly - I contacted the guy - he could come the next day. That evening I googled EPC prices and found the same service in my area some £50 cheaper - needless to say I cancelled their guy and booked my own.The most worrying thing was that Michael Jones allowed an electrician to visit the property (which was unoccupied, although not empty - my mother had passed away) unaccompanied, without notifying me. I stumbled across this by accident .... I needed a specific key to access a door in the house which they had in their possession and was told it was unavailable as it had had been given to said tradesman.** Imagine the consequences had I not needed this key and just turned up??? (The tradesman's vehicle, parked outside, was unmarked).The final blow came on completion - I popped in to the branch to hand over the keys and collect some money they were holding for me (private sale of furniture to new owner) - the office was empty of customers and fully staffed - and no-one either got up from their chairs to offer to shake my hand or indeed, thanked me for my business.I was very disappointed.** this is actually against the recognised code of practice
