GoogleWhen I contacted Martin and Co I was really in a bit of a pickle. I'd moved from Edinburgh to Aberdeen for my new job, and the flat I moved into (with another agency) really wasn't what they'd sold me, and didn't have heating or hot water. From the off, I dealt with a man called Stephen who is now the property manager for my lovely new flat. Stephen was able to secure me a viewing of the new place on the same day I called asking for help, and was there to help throughout the whole process which was invaluable as I had some problems with my referencing checks (I imagine this isn't normal, however, being self employed has its downsides). Stephen was friendly and professional throughout, giving the impression he really cared about me getting into my new flat as quickly as possible, and I was incredibly impressed when I was given a goodie box containing sweets, juice, snacks, dishwasher tablets etc as well as a bottle of wine when I collected my keys! For once, despite only having been in the new place a couple of days, I don't feel at all anxious about approaching the agency or Stephen himself if something ever did go wrong. After having dealt with many agencies within Aberdeen, I can't recommend Martin + Co highly enough.PositiveQuality, Professionalism

Google1. Not very good to deal with. If anything was broken nothing was fixed.
2. Take pictures of proof when you enter as the things that are wrong they tried to charge £325 for.
3. They said the flat would be clean and painted before entry this was not the case. The place was disgusting! The fridge was mouldy. Took a whole day just to clean the kitchen.
Now they say all the things were our fault.
There were no lightbulbs even in some rooms!
4. Even tho I cleaned thoroughly they say it needs a deep clean.
5 after reading the comments I would say it must be a scam!

As per our phone conversation any claim against the deposit is made based on an independent third party professional Inventory and Condition Report that were prepared at the beginning and end of the tenancy. These reports will be submitted to SafeDeposits Scotland, the approved deposit scheme that is holding the deposit. You are the guarantor to one of the tenants. The tenants have already accepted in writing that decoration had been done to the property without the authorisation of the landlord. If there is any dispute, all parties should submit their claim and evidence to the SafeDeposits Scotland and their adjudicator will make a fair unbiased decision based on the evidence presented. GoogleI moved into my flat in August 2019 from the south of England and felt very supported by Martin and Co. When I arrived to the city I visited their offices (ahh pre-COVID days!) and spoke to Adam who had been very responsive in emails. Collecting keys and signing the paperwork was very straight forward and they even gave me a bottle of wine! When I moved in there were a few issues and points to add to the inventory but that was handled very quickly. I had no problems with the property or the agency they have been nothing but helpful. I gave notice to move out in August 2020 due to personal circumstances and again this was handled very well and I was given all the checkout information I would need. I can say that I am sad to leave Martin & Co because it can be very difficult to find a good letting agency particularly if you are in your mid-20s and have recently finished education but I would definitely recommend them to anyone. They are also fair and balanced between tenants and landlords making sure properties are at a high standard for tenants but also ensuring they are maintained properly and returned in good condition. Condition reports come on time and all compliance relating to the properties is kept up to date.
Maria Castaneda and Kelly Kennedy have been great over the recent months managing my properties.
Ashley Rodrigues recently responded quickly to a boiler issue helping to get the heating back on for the tenant.
