I had a very positive experience with Ikenna Njoku, Property Relationship Manager. The washing machine replacement was arranged and completed within just a week, which was much faster than expected. Communication was clear throughout the process, and everything was handled efficiently and professionally. I really appreciated the quick response and smooth coordination. TL;DRover the course of 6 weeks, the speed at which I received responses and the lack of clarity in those responses was just awful. Would definitely not recommend. 6 weeks to perform document checks vs 3 days with another Edinburgh based letting agent.It all started on 10th March where I inquired about 3 properties. I got no response whatsoever.In mid May, I inquired about another property which I received a virtual viewing for and I also requested viewings for 2 other properties.22nd May - Provided an application to apply for the above properties but requested to hold off progressing until I had seen the other virtual tours.25th May - Received the other virtual viewings and decided to proceed with our first choice.27th May - Chase up email was sent as I received no comms. Was told they would chase the landlord.29th May - Second chase up email sent as no comms. Landlord had chosen another applicant so I requested to progress with second choice.3rd June - Application for second choice rejected due to other applicant having an earlier move in date. Asked to move to 3rd choice which was accepted that day and was told leasing team would be in touch in the morning regarding documents.4th June - Holding deposit paid and all required documents completed and sent over.5th June - Online portal account created and more forms to fill in. Move in date sorted for 13th July.11th June - Chase up email sent as heard nothing regarding document checks. Out of office response.12th - 15th June - Sent email to generic address requesting more info. Was told they were short staffed hence delay in processing. I explained the situation I was in regarding rent for current property and how I wanted to have the lease signed before I provided notice on the current property so there would be minimum rental due date overlap. Was told they cannot work a month in advance.17th June - X returns from holiday and explains they are on skeleton staff but assures me the document checks will be completed before move in on the 13th July. I explained the overlapping rent issue above to X and asked what the best approach was to which I got no response.24th June - Chase up email sent as no response.25th June - Second chase up email sent. Response was checks were still being run and they will be completed by the end of the following week.3rd July - Emailed to find out the status of the checks on the assumption we would receive the lease to sign. Received a call saying some documents were missing which we then provided. We were then told that because my partner was from the EU, she couldn't be credit checked and therefore we had to pay the full deposit amount which we were still happy to do. I asked when we would receive the lease as it should have been this day.6th July - I asked again when I would receive the lease to which the response was "once all checks are completed". I asked for timelines because the move in date was in a week and panic had set in. I then asked if it was possible to push the move in date a month to the 10th of August because paying 2 sets of rent was completely not affordable. 7th July - Response was "checks will be complete by the time you move in.". They took the 10th of August to the landlord and I also asked to receive the lease by the end of the week (which we would have done anyway) so that I could provide my notice and not have any overlapping rental dates. I received no response.8th July - After talking with friends, colleagues and other agencies about this company and also completing a free online credit check in 10 minutes, we decided to withdraw our application.9th July - We applied for another property through another company.16th July - Lease signed for above property.CONCLUSION: DJ Alexander are incredibly slow and not very informative whatsoever.

My rental properties were transferred over to DJA from Taylettings after company takeover. After experiencing excellent service from Taylettings the DJA service standards dropped off a cliff. Impossible to contact any property managers as answer machines and no call backs. Two significant issues relating to DJA overpaying council tax and not requesting refunds - after 8 months. And also DJA completely failing to respond to a mortgage broker to renew property insurance on 3 properties. Blatant mis-management and shoddy service. Now trying to transfer out of DJA and still encountering a blank wall of no communication. Worst letting agents ever.

GoogleIf your looking to rent your flat then I would highly recommend giving Stonehouse lettings a call. We were with another letting agent when stonehouse took over and to be honest I was a bit worried because we'd always had a fantastic service especially from our property manager Jackie Stewart but I had nothing to worry about. The service I get now is just as good if not better and Jackie is still our property manager.

Brilliant experience. I had an issue with a flat and feared that since it was a Friday afternoon it may not have got resolved and I would have been waiting until Monday. But the guys at DJ Alexander (in particular Kevin Fraser, Richard Anderson, and Another woman I spoke to on the phone) managed to sort this out Extremely quickly - with the issue taken care of by 5pm.Overall a very dedicated team with a very fast response time.

I had an issue with Fridge in my flat. It stopped working and no room to store the food. I raised it to DJ Alexander and Ikenna Njoku, Property Relationship Manager handled the issue. He sent me the electrician on priority to check and arranged a replacement promptly. Thanks for prominent support from him and the problem is solved.

One of the worst letting agency in Glasgow . They will send spams on email to attend viewing and once you give application, they will ghost you . The lady who made me view the one in Walls street - its been 10 + days and i havent even got a response to my application . Went for other viewings and the proporty managers are least interested in showing you the apartment . the lady who made me view the one in bath street - show some respect to your customers . I beleive your job is to show the apartment and not to sit on the couch and browse socials.
