Could not fault APL as a (soon to be) renter. Been trying to rent a property for months and had no luck, every property I went to view was off the market like that! Since then I had a few viewings with APL and they have been very helpful. Daniel Evans showed me around the most recent one and gave me advice to put in an offer straight away if I want the property so I did and he got back to me almost instantly saying that the landlord had accepted my offer! Thanks so much for your help😊

I've had a problem with my downstairs neighbour who rents from APL and they do nothing. The noise coming up from that flat is unbelievable all because they ripped out the carpets and left it bear wooden flooring. Downstairs neighbour lets their kids jump and bang about all hours (day and night). ALP just brush it off and say it's not their problem. Unfortunately I just just have to wonder about my house listening to a what sounds like a constant war. It feels like it anyway as my whole flat shakes.

The positive reviews are from people 'moving in'. Wait until you try and move out... As others have commented - they will try to charge you through the roof for professional cleaning even if you work hard to clean the place before leaving. They can take up to two months to return your deposit and have tried to deduct money for damages done by previous tenants. (luckily I had documented evidence). The place was a mess when I moved in - I reported phlegm spat on a wall, a blood stained mattress and tons of old kitchen equipment which filled every cupboard and kitchen drawer. Anybody moving out - make sure you request your deposit back through the holding agency yourself - as soon as you move out. Don't follow the agency's guidance to 'wait for them to settle everything and then you'll get an email'.

You will get charge a lot when you move out and nonsense charge such as cleaning even you clean it properly they just wanna cut their cost of cleaning and charge you. you have limit time line to pay deposits and everything but when you request them to return your deposit they have 2 months to hold it and they took at least 1 month until they process their internal account. When I move in the place is not clean, a bunch of garbage bag that full of dirty stuff but still want to charge me for cleaning after I move out. Staff not really care and not helpful. I would not recommend this agent.

On the 20th of December, I had a viewing with Daniel Evans. He was really nice and seemed to be a kind person as well as a great professional. He came on time, showed me around the property, gave me all the information I needed and was very polite. When I expressed my interest for the property, he got back to me the quickest he could. I would choose to work with him again if I needed viewings for properties.

The agents are calm and patient and really want to help you get a good place. They give the best advise when you need it. Jamie found me looking for the venue like I was lost since my phone battery ran out and I could not contact him. I was not even sure of the address anymore. I was some distance away from the apartment, having roamed the area, but he realized I could be looking for the place and came to ask.

Me and my partner have had an awful experience with APL. I would give no stars if I could, we spent a whole day cleaning the flat before leaving and they charged us for 8 hours of professional cleaning, they docked us £214 from the deposit. They sent us a document containing images of damage to the flat which was made from previous tenants, they made us pay for a light bulb that was already broken when we moved in. There is 12 pages of "damages" which is such utter nonsense, what do they expect me to do polish the shower drain? Also the head board was stuck on using duct tape by a previous tenant, which we had to pay for as they docked money from the deposit. The hoover provided in the flat barely worked so it was difficult to clean. When we got the flat initially, we were only given keys, no one came with us to show us how to use the boiler, we didn't even know where the second meter was due to this. Also, beware as they had Bulb as an energy provider which is very expensive. We had freezing cold showers for 9 months due to boilers issues which I reported and they ignored. Trust me, save yourself some money and hassle, DO NOT RENT FROM APL. I wish I read the reviews before renting from them.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Do not use this agency under any circumstances. They will take your money and run. I lived in one of thier flats as a student. When something broke down they would take far too long to fix it meaning I had to spend several weeks without a working.oven . After the tenancy was over they took around 75% of my deposit and justified this by holding me responsible for the damage caused by a past tenant, I challenged it and got most of it back in the end but that process took several months. They also would not let me see that falt be inspected by the "inventor" unless I paid 10% of the rent for the privilege which I did not. Prevention is better than the cure so this organisation is best avoided.
