Initially shown around wrong flat because of APL's error. They showed us around an occupied flat (also leased out by APL) across the corridor. Flat was filthy, and clearly hadn't been properly inspected with numerous defective electrical appliances hazardous to health. Despite reporting these and carrying out our own efforts at our expense to make it fit for habitation -which resulted in the flat being returned in considerably better condition - APL had the audacity to retain a chunk of our deposit for us apparently not cleaning the 25+ year old oven to their satisfaction or pulling apart a non user serviceable electric fan (which incidentally discharged into a ceiling void!) to clean. Had we not been desperate for accomodation at the time we would not have even considered it.

After previously experiencing extremely stressful and time wasting letting agencies within Aberdeen, our standards were so low in what to expect from any others throughout the city. This year we saw a beautiful flat that checked all the boxes for us and so much more! We instantly got in touch with Aberdeen Property Leasing (APL) about getting a viewing and recieved a confirmation date instantly. There was no beating around the bush with them. They were straight to the point and upfront about everything. A full plate of honesty and integrity from multiple members of the team at APL. During the viewing process, we had Daniel Evans as our agent. He made it an experience like no other. He was very down to earth and completely honest about everything. He answered all of our questions to the best of his ability and any that he could not, he went out of his way to find the answer immediately. We would confidently say that Daniel was a huge helping hand in convincing us that this is the place for us. When the process of moving flat and completing all documentation came, APL made the process so easy for us. Everything was completed online and smoothly. At one point during the soft background check, we had a lengthy struggle with handling the online form. This was due to the outdated applicant section of the website. During this issue, we got in touch with APL. Daniel and his colleague Emily Bowtell instantly amended any issues we had with the form and completed those details for us efficiently. We would highly recommend going with APL to anyone as they are a very professional and down to earth company who really understand their customers.

I had the task of trying to relocate a colleague to Aberdeen whilst being in Lancaster and these guys made the whole experience easy and pain free for me. In less than 2 weeks, they had shown him the property, sorted the lease and got the keys ready (early I might add!). And that's all with the added complication of doing it through a business rather than a personal lease. Cannot thank these guys enough. I’ve known and used Stuart Carnie Lettings Director for many lettings on my properties for the last 18 years. Every tenant he has found me has been excellent and I’ve had no problems over this time. Stuart in that time has been so knowledgeable, honest, reliable and says it how it is wether the market is busy or quieter. I’ve found I can go to him on general advice on absolutely anything I have had a query about regarding the ever changing laws in the rental market. Stuart is by far the go to person in Aberdeen if your looking for a property or to let out your property and will offer advice to any landlord wishing to improve there property to make it more marketable. I’ve found Stuart to be so consistent in the quality of service he offers and I know anyone working under him will have had adequate training or have him as mentor with his 20+ years experience in the industry of which I can vouch for 18 of those years as a top class service and down to earth nice man.

I was with another company before APL took over, I have multiple issues with this lot, I reported fault after fault, Which got repaired but it’s my fault and I’ve to pay because of a water mark due to the leak. They then claimed I owed them rent and sent an eviction notice, I then sent proof of the rent being paid and was told “ sorry it was a glitch in the system” these things are sent automatically apparently. This was 7 days after rent was due but was already paid. Claiming the house needs a good deep clean but all they can find was dust on most items. And was told I wasn’t allowed in house to clean said dust or get my own cleaner in. Items marked but already In the properly and was already marked and never used as we got our own stuff we’re marked down a we damaged them. Complained when I repainted the whole house to a better state to what I got it in, same colour and marked down as been repainted. The landlord bought Asda’s own brand of kitchen stuff, APL marked down as worn, over 3 years in property and was told we’re going charges for this. Complained when I accidentally left a bottle of lenor 3/4 full, which I’d be happy with if I moved in. The company is a joke, struggling to get deposit back. DO NOT USE THEM

I couldn’t recommend Aberdeen Property Leasing more. Throughout my tenancy they were always really helpful and easy to get hold of. Graham in maintenance was especially great throughout the tenancy and really helpful when we needed it with boiler issues etc. During the end of our tenancy period Aberdeen Property Leasing were great and went out of their way to help us - I can’t thank Stuart enough for being so available and accommodating. After out tenancy ended, they were super quick to get our deposit back to us and Jamie was great at pushing this through quickly and sorting everything out for us. Again - I absolutely would recommend Aberdeen Property Leasing and you’re lucky if they manage your property.

Effective, quick and friendly staff! No matter whether I email or call I've always welcome really sweet and happy to help people, I've felt really reassured especially when it came to moving and living in a completely new country and city. It was really reassuring comforting when I shared my problems with utility billing and Shaunie was there through the whole process; calling the energy company on my behalf, explaining my next steps and overall encouraging me through the process. Having only just moved to Aberdeen from abroad, it was reassuring to have such a great experience finding a place to rent through APL. I wish I could give Aberdeen Property Leasing more stars! Heather has been amazing at helping me find a property. As someone who is not from Aberdeen, she gave me loads of information and ensured I would be living in a safe and comfortable property. She was flexible with her time and offered to show us round a flat that we hadn’t originally decided to view - which we ended up loving and renting! She was able to negotiate prices for rent to suit the budget I was offering. She has been nothing but wonderful in terms of communication, and has only been a text away from any questions we had. Her kind and friendly personality has made this experience very pleasant. The staff at Aberdeen Property Leasing office have been great when filling out forms and were able to talk me through each step. Recently rented out our property with APL & we've had great service from Stuart and the team (Daniel, Mairi, Rosie, Sarah.. sorry if i've forgotten others). Fees seem fair and the property was advertised on multiple platforms when looking for tenants. Have not used any other agencies ourselves to compare against, but would have no issues in recommending APL. (Electrician that came in to do our checks was really helpful also)
