The John Francis team -Richard and Stephanie in particular - did a fantastic job of getting a difficult sale over the line. It took about 18 months, and throughout that time they worked hard to advertise it; organised many viewings; liaised expertly with potential buyers. They were proactive, responsive and kept us update every step of the way. Would highly recommend them

We had a two hour visit for a valuation at our house from the manager at Haverfordwest branch on a Friday afternoon. The lady who visited was extremely enthusiastic about our home, and said she would contact us on the Monday to inform us of her valuation as she needed to do more research. That was four weeks ago and we have heard NOTHING since. They obviously cannot be bothered to market our house and have lost a possible £6k or more in fees. Don't waste your time contacting them.

Rented a property through John Francis returned our keys on the 4th April still waiting for the return of our bond. Property inspected on the 8th. Lanlord confirmed they were happy to release the bond. Was told by the property management company that the money was returned by bacs on the 9th. Still not received it rang today told to ring My Deposit Scheme as they were responsible for returning it on the 9th. Rang My Deposit to be told they never held the money !! Found out it was held by Countrywide who f8nally said it hadn't been released but it would be released by bacs today. John Francis totally

Llanelli Office - My house was sold April 2024, it is now Valentines Day February 2025 and still no news on completion? I was told it would be sorted last September, then October and November, full of promises before Christmas, this just sums up how this shady outfit work! Always in meetings or they won't answer my calls as they recognise my number on caller display, yet when I call them from a different phone they answer. The staff are extremely unprofessional and will never ever call you back, same old excuses and you are forever chasing them up in your own time trying to get them to do some actual work! Stay well clear and find a decent Estate Agent, how they are still in business I do not know? I shall continue to wait and it will probably be end of March or April, maybe longer with these pathetic jokers!

Initially they were brilliant, I was selling my flat and they gave me a good valuation. The flat wouldn’t sell so they asked me to reduce the price by £25,000. I then decided to put it up for rent. They were going to manage it for me and told me I can keep it on the market as it was a temporary let and the tenant would only be there for six months. As the weeks progressed I was notified the it had been taken off the market. When I challenged them, they said that the tenant had a right to live there without any disturbance. They did not tell me that. Then I was bombarded with repairs. I had them sorted by one of their contractors, at a premium cost. Within a month the same repairs were requested again. As they were repaired by their contractors, and she had damaged them I said it would be up to her to fix.

I just wanted to thank the Lettings team at John Francis Gorseinon Starting from when Chris showed me the property and Ashleigh and Emma took care of the customer service side of things and liasing with the landlord. The service was 1st class and Emma and Ashleigh have spoken to landlord for me and he kindly left me TVs and wardrobes so that made the process easier and I got to save money too. Also the letting team have been professional and any questions or queries I’ve had they’ve been resolved .

Woeful company.My parents rented a bungalow from them in November 2019. Sadly dad passed away the day after they signed a 6-month rental agreement. Mum was unable to fulfil the term and we notified them of the change in circumstances 4 days after dad died. They still felt it appropriate to levy a £594 charge on mum for some sort of landlord charge???We still haven't got to the bottom of it. The rental agreement they signed was very woolly. After the involvement of one of our Welsh AM's Suzy Davies, they eventually dropped the fee to £200, but withheld mum's deposit until she paid it. Such a despicable thing to do to a grieving 75 year old woman. Absolutely no evidence of discretion or any demonstration of good morals whatsoever. Embark on any dealings with them with extreme caution and make sure you read the small print!

Due to a medical problem (deafness) I am unable to use the telephone - does anyone who has left a review of this Company have an email address for them?

GoogleKelly and team have been more than helpful. We had a difficult property to sell and they all worked really hard to find the right buyer. They are a professional group of people whom I would have no problem recommending if you are buying or selling a property.

Terrible letting experience, I wish I had read reviews first, I wrongly assumed that because they were a large established company that they would be efficient and fair.As a landlord I paid them to find a suitable tenant, 9 months later I was £3500 in rent arrears, £1250 solicitors fees £500 Court fees, a wrecked House, including police forcing entry, harassment from tenants, complaints from neighbours, stress and hours of my time, leaving me appropriately £8000 out of pocket. No genuine references, no accurate credit searches etc. I thought they would have least refunded the fee as they had bot found suitable tenants.After delays and stalling they refused to accept any responsibility and are refusing to refund fees. Don't risk it they don't care and they don't vet the tenants. Terrible experience.

John Francis was telling us what the other buyers had offered for a property and was also telling them what we had offered. Had an offer officially accepted and went through the checks only to be told the next day that another buyer had offered more than us and we lost the house after messing us around for a week. Totally unethical. Also informed us that they were pushing the price up because the seller was buying a more expensive property off them so needed the money which is a massive conflict of interest. Very unprofessional advice and behaviour and we will be looking into their governing body. I would not recommend these at all. We were not treated with fairness and wholly unethical tactics were used. Right down to having back to back bookings and all the classic estate agent tricks I’ve read about since.

GoogleThis became a more 'complicated' sale through no fault of John Francis or myself - l must say that that the team Ben, Serena, Kelly and Kurt supported me through this in every way they could to bring everything through to a straightforward sale as they could in these complicated times. GoogleRefreshing to visit an agent that still has customer service. Was greeted by a lady (Serena) who was very helpful and informative, followed up by a viewing with Ben, who too was very helpful, and didn't rush us in and out. Found this very refreshing after other local agents seemed to be very dismissive and aloof. Well done to them for not forgetting customer service in the middle of a boom. Won't forget this if we should need to use a local agent.

Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Used the Carmarthen branch and they were absolute crap. No communication or feedback for almost a year, they didn't even list the property anywhere but their own website for the first few months and only realized this mistake when our friends and others we talked to could never find it anywhere and we complained. They blamed problems on the initial agent but then we were never even told when he left the company and there was no one looking out for us. When the branch manager stepped in we thought their service would improve but its no different. Cant wait to list elsewhere but now they want to hold us to a notice period buried in the small print of their contract. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS !!!!!!
