John Francis Llanelli - although we did not end up buying via JF, I thought I would leave a review about the fantastic service received from the Llanelli team - especially Emily who has the patience of a saint! I’ve lost count of how many properties we’ve viewed in the last few months but JF stand out. The girls in the office are easy to talk to, always get back to you with answers to queries and are very accommodating.

Selling my late mother's property, I had three valuations - all from long established estate agents. John Francis' was the highest but the manager of the Mumbles branch convinced me she could sell it at that price. Not long after she went off sick at the same time as her assistant went on maternity leave (we knew the latter was happening) but there was clearly no system in place to cover this. There was absolutely no communication from John Francis to say this had happened or that in fact the Mumbles branch was actually closed. We finally found the best way was not to leave a message - they weren't responded to - but to put the phone down when the answer machine kicked in as someone from another office would then call back! Manon at the Killay branch was very helpful but nobody else really seemed bothered or interested in the property or us and it took several weeks for me to get someone else from John Francis to look at it so they knew what they were supposed to be selling. Even then, after a week I had to ask the man who did this his opinion regarding the price - he didn't just tell me it was way overpriced. I was not giving John Francis the pleasure of selling it after several wasted months without a single viewing and went elsewhere. I completed the sale yesterday.

We marketed our house for the required ten weeks with John Francis Killay as they were selling two bungalows we were seriously interested in. The initial contact was with Grace who was excellent, the photographer/measurer came out and made a complete balls up of it requiring me to re-measure the house myself. We had several viewings with Daisy who was also excellent at her job. Unfortunately things went downhill from there, first the phones were down for a week meaning that potential viewers had no way of arranging an appointment. Two weeks ago we had two viewings booked on consecutive days, we came from holiday early to ensure the house was presentable before going out. Nobody turned up.(Ring doorbell) The following day, nobody turned up . There was no phone call or e mail to advise us of this. I called the office where Josh advised me that the first viewer had cancelled and that the second viewing was cancelled due to the staff member going sick. He re booked the second viewing for the following Friday and assured me that these people had their house on the market. Just after coming off the phone another message was sent to me with a booking for the following Tuesday. I called the office the following day to ask who the person was. During this conversation with Amy who was helpful I mentioned the Friday couple and was told that they hadn’t had their house valued, let alone marketed it. I didn’t want people viewing who couldn’t even bother to value their own home and asked that they be cancelled. That left the Tuesday viewing , a first time buyer coming from Kent apparently so once again we sorted the house and garden and went out. Nobody turned up. I phoned the office twice that afternoon and left a voicemail asking for feedback. No reply received. 8th April I attended the office to get my key back and take the house off their books to move to an independent. I think my attendance was expected as an immediate apology was given by the lady in the office as soon as I introduced myself. I asked what had happened to the Kent viewer but no information regarding her was on the system. Read into that what you will but I am of the opinion that this was a phantom viewing added to keep us on their books.

We were signed to Emily who went above and beyond and helped us to achieve a sale . The sale went through. Very quickly . Emily was 100% good with her job very polite and helpful along with her colleagues. We have been moved 8 weeks today Sandra and Patrick smith

Hi, I put my flat on the market with John Francis Tenby and my sales agent was Sharlene Lewis from the very start She was very professional and very quickly matched my Appartment with relevant buyers and it was only a matter of weeks before I had a sale however the sale fell through. No fault to Sharlene's. The customer just didn't feel it was the right way to spend their inheritance so Sharlene was on the case again and quickly got me a new Buyer within a couple of days and achieved more than I had from the first buyer. which helped towards paying my £2000 solicitor fee for the Lost sale . I have to say, I've been in the housing market a long time buying and selling properties and Sharlene Lewis goes above and beyond to get you a sale thank you very much, Sharlene.

If I could give the team at John Francis in Milford 10 stars I would! It was only by accident that I chose this agent. I had just left my dogs at the groomers next door and my son reminded me that I kept saying I must find an agent! So I did. Thank God I found this one. Because they really go over and above for you. They are young, charming and you feel as though you are no trouble and always come first! What's not to like! I was very impressed with the photographs taken for the blurb on line .When I saw them I said I nearly put in an offer myself.! They were superb, that's a real talent. I decided to look on line to check out the competition, like you do, and was amazed that a place I know that is really nice and would overshadow mine, looked really ordinary and I probably wouldn't have gone to view. It made such a difference. It's the small things that make a big difference. I wasn't in a hurry to sell at the start so didn't ring to chase them up or anything, thinking I would have the whole summer to get ready to downsize. Wrong!!! It took 0nly 3 viewings and I had an offer and it is now sold! Amazing! It's a good job I work well under pressure because it is now all stations go! the hardest thing I have to do now is decide which property in my village to choose for my downsize! That is a great problem to have!

Just sold my house in Loughor through the Gorseinon Branch. I was kept informed throughout the process by friendly and informative staff. They were all great but I have to single out Aimee and in particular Michelle who helped me get over the line with a smile. Would most certainly recommend them and if I do ever sell again they will be the only company I consider.

We used John Francis Ammanford to sell our house and definitely made the right decision to use them! Kayley practically sold my house back to me after coming over for the valuation, she was so enthusiastic and positive! The photographer they use made the house look amazing in the photos and the 3D walk through was great! Once the house went up for sale Louisa was really quick with communication and we had a viewing booked pretty much immediately. Louisa was also enthusiastic and friendly. Our house sold straight away for the full asking price that they had originally valued so they were spot on with that. Overall I can’t fault anyone at John Francis Ammanford, they were always at the end of phone to answer any questions and kept us well informed, would 100% recommend and use again!

GoogleMoving House is supposedly one of the most stressful occasions ... Well far from it when you use this incredible estate agent! I cannot recommend highly enough the care, professional, help and most of all the 'human touch' both Serena and Ben displayed in their customer service. Nothing was too much trouble and each query was dealt with promptly and efficiently! From start to finish, despite all the challenges bought about during the pandemic, everything went smoothly and any issues that came along were dealt with accordingly! Thank you both of you for making our transition to Wales such a wonderful experience and enabling us to purchase our new home to begin a brand new chapter in our lives!

I would suggest not wasting your time trying to sell your property through John Francis in Cardigan. You may get lucky but, along the way, you will experience poor communication and a complete lack of motivation to do their best. Talking to you is, it seems, far too much bother. You have to chase them every step of the way. It seems simple to me that, following every house viewing, feedback would shortly follow. No, not unless you ask for it. House viewings are treated like they are an inconvenience and if you were to get an offer they would probably forget to tell you. There is much more enthusiasm when it comes to trying to get you to sign up to their conveyancing company (Countrywide) - at least six times we were sent the form - and if you order an EPC be aware that you are paying nearly twice the usual price because they sneakily add in a charge for the floor plan that is supposed to be included in the marketing fee, which reminds me that the photographer was so obnoxious I refused to have him in the house. The final straw was having a couple appear unexpectedly on our doorstep for a house viewing. The couple had been expecting someone from John Francis to show them around, but no one turned up. As we were about to go on holiday, the timing was not great. Still, we showed them around, and thought we would get some feedback (perhaps) later, especially as they seemed to like our house very much. Silly us! In fact what happened instead was no one at John Francis in Cardigan or Lampeter, from where they were referred, knew anything about this couple. Well, this couple were certainly very convincing fibbers in that case, much more than anyone at John Francis to whom I spoke to when trying to find out what had happened. Somebody had messed up and nobody was going to admit it. Absolutely useless! By far the worst estate agent we have ever used.

I have bought and sold several houses in my life, but John Francis, in Cardigan, is the bottom of the pile when they were selling my property. In all my years I have never had such appalling service from an agent - they don't respond to emails, they don't return calls, they ignore any requests for information and ignored my feedback form. Something is definitely amiss with this company from my experience. Their communication & organisation of their Cardigan office is just not at a level that will ever achieve a sale. Weeks later and I still await some form of contact from them after several emails to them. They have not even responded to me after completing their feedback form and phoned to remove my property from them.

I have worked with all of the john francis office for nearly 20years not all is as it seems with a few of these reviews ,one wer the decking was rotten, I actually worked on ,I attended and told jf most of the decking was rotten and a lot of the sub base was as well ,to be told by the llandlord I only want the bear minum, ie only change what is rotten not anything else ,so that us what was done ,I attended many times with tenants issues, full gutters ,windows blown ,etc to be told llandlord will not have it done ,she also new of the dogs as was requested when tenancy started ,im not saying jonh francis are the best they make mistakes as do all ,but there is always another side

We put our house on the market around 3 months ago with a local branch and had a few viewings in the first couple of weeks. Recently had 3 viewings booked in but nobody turned up and we weren’t informed, so we think they were phantom viewings for whatever reason. Really inconvenient after all the cleaning/ tidying involved. They do not communicate, would definitely not recommend.

I would like to highly commend John Frances Ammanford. Kayley Kayl and the team were brilliant. i lost my husband suddenly so needed to move closer to family. They were so professional kind and supportive throughout Always giving feed back after a viewing. i was with another agent in Ammanford and changed after 6 months. Nothing was to much trouble for them they were brilliant. I only wish I could give this company minus stars. This is by far the worst estate agents if you are a landlord and letting your property out!! Living the other side of the world we wanted a local company to manage our house, John Francis was not the cheapest but we thought we would get a better service. We let our property for 1.5 years with them and never again! THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY! It started with bad tradesman from their contacts and we had to have him back 3 or 4 times to fix the decking, never sent us photos of completed job to spite many requests, then we finally saw pictures as told he was going to replace all the rotten decking boards, they were clearly off cuts from previous jobs (botch job) charged us £400 which was paid from our rent money without showing us the final result, once we saw it and complained as we could still see rotten decks he came back and charged a further £50 to fix his muck up.!

Absolutely disgraceful estate agents. Made me travel 4hours for a viewing after I placed an offer I ly to tell me on the day there were other offers. They had 2 weeks to Inform me. Got there to others also viewing the property when I was told this viewing was just to confirm my offer. Absolutely time wasters and just push for viewings to have bidding wars! Not the first time this has happened.

Nothing too much trouble for manager Jo and Kyle, Jo even came in on her day off to do a second viewing when my parents were visiting… She helped us secure our new home, great communication with us and the vendor making it easier… The financial arm of John Francis weren’t so efficient, failing to return a call and failing to keep a phone appointment Kyle had set up 🙄 so well done to you two in Aberaeron for always going the extra mile

10 weeks ago John Francis Sketty were given the signed instruction to sell my property.I walked into the office on the off chance about 2 weeks ago, to see when they were going to market.Today (10 weeks later) I have handed the sale of my property over to another agency.In the 10 weeks, I have been ignored, no communication (until I walked into the office), lied to and mis sold the conveyance and professional photography package(thankfully an excellent legal firm anyway!).10 weeks- no floor plans drawn up. No photos of the houseNo requests for information to me or their recommended solicitors.1 day ago sent me the forms to complete- forms I should have filled in 10 weeks ago.Absolutely awful office. Pity. The ladies and gent I have spoke to in the Killay office (I live right between the 2 offices) have been excellent. Wish I could have used that office, but just into the boundary of the Sketty office.Sketty office have been extremely unprofessional and downright incompetent from the outset in my humble opinion and wasted 10 weeks of time that very nearly jeopardised my purchase of a new place to call home- downsizing due to health issues.Health issues that absolutely love stress and anxiety. thrive on them!Ah well. That's about a £6,000 commission that John Francis has lost, in an area where houses rarely come to market and sell very quickly due to the local school being in the top 10 list of Welsh schoolsAvoid John Francis (Sketty office) like the plague if you want less stress when selling your place.Trust Pilot won't allow me to give ZERO starts, which would still be far too high a rating
