AVOID REGAL ESTATES IN KENT

AVOID. I applied for the new build property and booked viewing. Did let Julie in Regal lettings know that as I am working full time I need to book holiday for this. I also was ok to rent this property outright. All agreed to meet next Wednesday. Confirmed by Julie to meet. Looked online same night just to see LET AGREED on Rightmove. Regal estates is not professional conduct or agency. During call today Julie could not even apologise or acknowledge their unacceptable actions. AVOID. My luck not to go any further with these.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I can only assume that all the positive reviews are fabricated as they are the worst company I have ever dealt with.We applied for a property and had an issue with a landlord where we were living abroad. He would not provide a reference as they are not duty bound to do abroad. This is quite normal and all other estate agents (we have spoken to retrospectively) would try to find a solution. Regal lettings told us that we could use one of our previous landlords (although they fiercely deny now that they said this). So basically they sent us on a merry dance to try and obtain references from previous landlords (which was not easy as they were retired). After almost 2 weeks they then turned around and said all of a sudden that the reference needed from our current landlord or not at all. This was all going on during our holiday so we couldn't relax at all. I've subsequently tried to complain and request a refund of agency fees (as most other estate agents would). They just don't answer the questions and tell more liesI'm sure they will post a response to this defending themselves and mentioning how none of this is true, but consider this - what reason would I have to lie, other than to warn other potential customers?Regarding Regal Letting's response where "they assure me that they do tell lies." I was told on the phone that a reference from the "many" landlords I have had in the past would be fine. This turned out not to be not true, or in other word, a lie.Regarding that you answered all requests - No you did not answer all requests. Questions you don't like you have avoided answering and answered a different question... or just blamed it on the referencing company

We first used Regal 8 years ago when we purchased a property through them, and we have just sold the same property with them. We made it clear that we wanted a quick sale to buy our dream house and Regal managed to sell our house in only 3 days. They have been absolutely amazing through a very tricky conveyancing process, caused by issues further down the chain.Without all their relentless hard work, the whole chain could have easily collapsed.Keri, James and Mike have really pulled it out the bag, and although we have agreed never to move again, we would wholeheartedly recommend them.

I happy to recommend this estate agent as one to trust, something hard to find! I have used their services twice in recent years, the latest in 2017. On both occasions I was given excellent, accurate and professional advice on the housing market and how best to proceed. Moving home and selling / buying property is said to be one of the more difficult things we may encounter, for me this agent made me feel very well supported. Although I did speak with a few members off staff I would mention in particular a young man named Robert who was most helpful and knowledgeable.

Very poor communication

Very poor communication. Left phone messages and sent emails without a response. Note the name on a previous review is the same staff member who seems to consistently ignore clients. Was advised the tenant was at fault but the lack of communication from Regal was obviously the main reason. Would never recommend.

From start to finish Regal excelled. Having a “Rachel” (their sales progressor) who is dedicated, to not only keeping everything on track (even solicitors) but the clients informed was brilliant. Firstly, room’s wifi was so bad that I couldn’t even watch YouTube on my TV. Because of the area the house was in, I couldn’t even buy a broadband because of the Canterbury area- I had to use my data with all my technology which was especially difficult as I worked remotely and needed a good service to earn a living.

Was with regal leggings fir about 2 years and will never go back! Especially if you are a student avoid them. They charge over the top for the deposit and don’t expect to get it back in time. Has been nearly 3 months since we moved out and we still haven’t got it. We have chased Amy on numerous of occasion with her taking days to reply. Only reason we are finally getting it back is because we opened a case with the TDS and funny enough within a few days Amy finally had the costs back from the landlord. We was then told last Friday it’ll be sent back to us Monday as they need the senior staff member to send it. So please tell me why again after chasing Amy this week why the transfer was only actioned yesterday! Poor communication when we lived there and since we have moved out. DONT NOT USE!

Extremely unprofessional and rude

Extremely difficult processes with this estate agents throughout tenancy as well as being met by unpleasant language by the property manager on a regular basis and being shouted at over the phone. Did not receive one email in respectable manner, as well as having false information peddled at me which was absolutely not legal. I spoke to a girl over the phone which kept iterating and arguing that a deposit didn't not have to be returned within 10 days or have some form of communication within 10 days of leaving the property. Take it as a warning and do not rent with such unprofessional and unknowledgeable people.Update on the matter: A director of the company has gone out of her way now to share slandering information in response to my reviews of the unprofessional and horrible way I was treated, and has actually shared contractual information without my consent, committing a confidentiality breach as well as other irrefutable acts. Be wary of who you do business with. The level of unprofessionalism experienced is now at all time high and not from just an employee but a Director of the company! wow
