How reviews are counted on review pages

Updated 9 October 2026

Each office and agent group on The Trusted Agent has a review page. Here is how the numbers on it are worked out.

The headline figure

The headline shows the overall rating out of 5 and the total number of reviews across the platforms we collect for that office. For an agent group, reviews are counted once across the whole company, not once per office.

The platform tiles

Each review platform has its own tile:

  • Google shows the rating and the number of reviews, with a link to the office on Google Maps.
  • Trustpilot and allAgents show the number of reviews and a link only, never a star rating. You can follow the link to read them on the platform itself.

Why Trustpilot and allAgents show no stars

This is deliberate. For Trustpilot and allAgents we show how many reviews there are and link to the platform's own page, so you can read the reviews and see the rating where they were written.

allAgents totals

An allAgents total is read from allAgents' own page and is not added to the headline review count, platform count or rating. Where allAgents only gives a firm-wide total, it appears on the group page, not on each office, so no single office looks like it owns the whole firm's reviews.

Reviews by type

Pages may split reviews into sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants. A review only counts as, say, a seller review when the reviewer told us, ticked it on the review form, or the review itself says so.
