Terrible customer service
Sudbury Suffolk branch. Absolutely awful customer service. Put an offer in for a house and they told me I wasn’t able to put that offer because the vendor wouldn’t accept it. This was my first time putting an offer in for a house and was very nervous. The guy down the phone was absolutely awful to deal with. Told me I wasn’t able to offer that and so I had to hang up. I talked to my mortgage advisor and he said that they have to pass on offers to the seller. I called back and said how awful I had been spoken to. Managed to put an offer in and they said that it was rejected then said someone else was interested and I was willing to go another 10k more. They said when they had told me that it wasn’t accepted that someone had put in an offer and were in a better position.. so didn’t even ask if I wanted to counter offer. Their service is absolutely appalling and their mortgage advisors (they kept begging me to speak to them) are equally diabolical. I spent an hour talking to one being told they would send me houses that aren’t on the market etc etc. Haven’t heard from them once in over a year we have been searching. Such a shame because we were so set on that house and would have likely got it as we were going to offer more than it actually sold for. Avoid them at all costs if possible. Absolutely terrible experience.

Beware of commission charges
Be very wary of this company. When selling your house with them make sure you have a signed copy of the agreement with their commission charges. I sold my house several months ago. I have given up trying to get a copy of a signed agreement with their charges on. They state they don't work on a percentage so you only find out their commission on completion of the contract. The way they market your property is good but if you use them make sure of their costs beforehand. I calculate I was charged 2% which is more than most agents charge.

Avoid! Scam Estate Agent
Avoid! Nasty, Unethical Estate Agent!I haved listed 3 bed terrased with them but also used another estate who sold property within 3 days. Asked William H in Stevenage to take it off the market, they confirmed they did!We moved and exchanged as per usual with another estate, not having any comms with William H Stevenage.10 months down the line we receive nasty letter from collectors saying we owe £4,4k fees to William H Stevenage and must pay immediately! We did not sell via William H Stevenage.Surpisigly No correspondence from William H Stevenage agents to say otherwise. Now I have to spend my time and resources to proof something that is fact anyway! Absolutely unacceptable and terrible way to treat customer!Do not ever! I repeat ever instruct William H Stevenage to sell house or buy from them!!

Avoid at all costs!
So this company is appauling to use to sell your house! They sent a couple of people to view it who actually stole products from our bathroom! They never sent anyone else or made any effort in the 3 months we were with them. I then told them we wanted to leave them as we were out of contract and by some miracle they said they had another viewing! They told me this on the Friday a week before he was due then on the day of viewing a week later they said he cancelled. 😡 TERRIBLE COMPANY AVOID AT ALL COSTS

No confidence
A gentleman came to give us a valuation on our house. He did not fill us with any confidence that he knew what he was talking about. He hadn't done any research into properties for sale in the surrounding area, I knew more than he did. He gave no information about needing an EPC certifcate or any other upfront costs. He also u turned on many of his comments during his visit. I will not be going with this company to sell my house.

Sarah Burt of the Wisbech office is the best
Sarah Burt of the Wisbech office has been a delight to have managing my property. She is so efficient and jumps at sorting any problems that arises. She is relentless in perfection and an eye for detail. She ensures all paperwork is up to date and takes care of both tenants and landlords alike. I cannot fault her in any way. She is a credit to the company. I’m truly blessed to have her dealing with my asset.

Please avoid them if you can
Please avoid them if you can. I wish I'd known that before.Very poor service, not responding to emails at all or taking ages to respond. Neither letting manager nor the agent are responsible professionals, waste of my time to deal with them. When I came to collect the keys for the flat I was moving in, the manager was looking for the keys for 30 mins as he couldn't locate them, knowing that I was collecting them that day.Promise things and then never do them... I could write a long story about them!!

Absolute disgrace
In this company the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I am investor and this is a second time this happened to me with them. Tried to arrange the viewing immediately the property came to the market(Beginning of the week). I was completely flexible with dates and time. One of the "great agents"(lady) promised me to come back with the date once they check. But of course she didn't. I had to call day after to arrange the viewing. The earliest which they could do Friday(confirmed). On Thursday lady called me to a to arrange the viewing, of course she hadn't clue that I have a viewing next(which supposed to be in their system, if they have one) day. Bottom line they have cancel the viewing hour before my visit when I was already driving to the customer. I called to their office wanted to talk to their manager to explain this is not how it suppose to work. The manager said she will call me in a minute. Well this was an hour ago and the way they operate I don't think I even will get a call. Honestly just stay away from them. Absolutely useless, I don't even undestand why people choosing this company to represent their property..

I'd just like to say what a pleasure dealing with Savill's York office, and in particular Jennifer Kendrew, has been. We have received a really personal and constructive service in our search for a new home. Communications, search service and interpersonal skills have been first class. Many thanks

Sheffield Branch -Worst ever estate agent
Sheffield Branch -Worst ever estate agent AVOIDAn agent came for valuation. She came in with muddy, dirty shoes without permission. She walked all over, including over my expensive silk carpet. The way she was talking was very unprofessional and rude. Not answering questions properly interrupted me. She did not apologize. When I phoned the office to report her, the person on the line hung up. DISGUSTING poor service.

Excellent - Dom is brilliant!
We are so thankful for all the help and support given to us in our move from Kent to Sheffield, especially by Dom from the Crystal Peaks branch. Whilst we had a lot of problems with the referencing company Dom was great, patient and hard working all the way. We are now happily in our new home and looking forward to our next adventure.

Truly awful
I feel for anyone attempting to sell a house with WHB. This is based on my experience of trying to buy a house marketed by them. They don’t return enquiries about properties. They refuse to let you put in offers saying the offer is not high enough. When you withdraw offers because they say it’s not high enough, they then phone asking why you’ve withdrawn the offer. Then call you a liar when you give a reason. They do get in touch to pressure you into taking a mortgage through them stating that if you use them as broker, it will put you in a better light with vendors thus increasing your chance of being successful in purchasing the property. I feel this is unethical at best, not even sure if this practice is legal. Awful, rude and arrogant people. My heart goes out to all those who have property listed with this bunch of unprofessional operators. I will no longer enquire about any properties for sale with WHB on the basis that I don’t like being spoken to like an idiot merely for trying to purchase a property.

Professional and efficient
I've just rented a property through the Peterborough branch. Olivia has been brilliant in helping us sort out a few problems in the first couple of days. She kept us updated via phone calls and emails and resolved the issues quickly and efficiently. Thanks so much 🙏

LYING RIP OFF COWBOYS
Do not go anywhere near this company. They give you an indication of respectable fees to get your business and then sneak in extras, add ons and anything else they can dream up. As it's deducted at source you can't get it back even though they will promise to on a daily basis. If you want lying to, robbing and generally treating badly this is the place to go they should not be allowed to be in business of any sort at all

Warning - Terrible Experience with WHBrown Letting Agent
I am writing this review to share my utterly disappointing experience with WHBrown Letting Agent. My encounter with them has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to warn others to avoid this agency at all costs. To start, the level of incompetence displayed by WHBrown is astounding. Their complete disregard for the well-being of their tenants is shocking. My attempts to address maintenance issues were met with negligence, as my complaints about moulded bathrooms, paint falling off walls, and faulty electrical work were conveniently ignored. Moreover, the racial insensitivity exhibited by WHBrown is deeply troubling. The lack of respect and condescending behavior from their staff members is not only unprofessional but also unacceptable. It is disheartening to experience such blatant disregard for human decency, making it clear that they prioritize profit over people. The final straw was when they left me and my children in a cold, uninhabitable house for a week. Despite consistently paying rent with no arrears, we have been treated with disrespect and utter disregard for our well-being.I implore anyone considering WHBrown Letting Agent for their property needs to steer clear. The level of service provided is abysmal, and their practices are not only unprofessional but also border on neglectful. My experience has been a stark reminder that tenants deserve better treatment and respect.Avoid WHBrown Letting Agent like the plague, and spare yourself the stress and anguish of dealing with such an unscrupulous agency.I have encountered them on two occasions at two different location and they are absolutely rubbish.

Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs, don't do what they say they are going to do, complete waste of time, told people viewing no need to remove shoes before entering my house even when they asked if they have too "just rude" didn't get the right type of people viewing one couple didn't even want this area they wanted about 5 miles away! Promised an open day that never happened. Now getting threatening letters about payment for an EPC they had already been given card details for payment, phoned 3 times no response just more threatening letters in the post, absolute shambles!

DO NOT SELL YOUR HOUSE WITH WHBrown
We had our house on the market with WHB Colchester branch in October and November last year. During this time we had no help, phone calls updates or honest and constructive advice on what to do with our property to help sell it. We gave the two week notice to end our contract, which my husband done over the phone and spoke with a nice lady, no questions asked, she sent a confirmation email to him with the end date. A few weeks later I phoned the office to ask if they could confirm the official date of which our house will be removed from their listings, as I didn’t have the email to hand. I needed to know this information, as I wanted to make plans with our new agents. The store manager I spoke with I found was rude, pushy, and spoke at me without me being able to get a word in. Asking why we were taking our house off the market with them? He told me incorrect information regarding our contract and was adamant that we were in contract with them for a further 28 days to what I had thought. He told me that I had signed the contract, and that he had it there in front of him. ( which he was lying about) He gave me advice on the value of my property after 8 weeks of no advice or contact. The conversation lasted 18minutes. I ended the call. I then went on to find the information I needed and as I thought there was no 28day cooling off period, we had not signed this contract he was so adamant I had. He was extremely unprofessional, untrustworthy and rude and we would never recommend selling your home with this agency. I wish I had read trust pilot reviews before we had put our house on the market with them, as it seems a lot of people have experienced a similar service and treatment.

Avoid at all cost!
It took us over a week to get a viewing of a house that we planned to buy. On the day of the viewing we had agreed to meet the agent outside the property. It was obvious it was a house of multiple occupation because when the agent failed to turn up we knocked on the front door. The estate agent had not told us the house was occupied and had no good reason for not showing up to show us round. I would advise to avoid these people if possible.

Don’t bother
Don’t bother, looked at a house that turned out to be rubbish anyway and they won’t leave you alone after getting details to see if they can sell you something or sell your property even if your not interested. They will call every week to annoy the hell out of you. Even kept calling when I was arranging my dad’s funeral!

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE DO NOT USE THIS AGENT TO SELL YOUR PROPERTY
Following months of them constantly chasing me for a listing on a property another agent was already marketing for me we asked WH Brown Worksop branch to list the property. What a mistake. To say their processes are overly bureaucratic is an under statement. This seems to be a regular theme on their reviews. They refused to send out a contract for signature by email until we provided a postal address to them but could not explain why, other than "its our Company policy". Although they claim they are dedicated to customer service they did not reply to multiple messages from us even though they had originally chased us night and day for the listing. Their administrator They use an online ID service called Credas which is very temperamental and difficult to use. When it wouldn't accept our ID documents their response was "you will have to come into branch personally" even though that was a 2 hour round trip. Three weeks on and the property was still not up for sale. When I finally got a response from them and I called the Worksop Branch Office Manager her response was "we dont want to list your property as you dont want to comply with our Company policies". If you are considering using WH Brown Worksop dont be taken in by their marketing about "fantastic customer service" and "how much they care about their customers". Its just not true.
Where the same review appears twice we show it once. We leave out reviews that name another agent or another of the brand's offices.
