GoogleWe selected Chestnut Solutions as the agents to sell our property after the initial meeting with Richard Bray. We were bowled over by his presence, attitude and strategy but sadly, after appointing him as the agent ,we were left feeling very disappointed; especially with the lack of actions taken against concerns raised and indeed the lack of professionalism and attention to detail. Granted, it may be have been early days in the search for a buyer (4 weeks with Chestnut) but when there have been too many inaccurate details or issues which as the customer you’ve raised, and with not much attempt to remedy the concerns raised, You do find yourself questioning why on earth you selected the agent in the first place. The icing on the cake was when I had called him on a Friday, I eventually had a call back the following Wednesday. If he treats customer like this, one questions how he handles potentially interested buyers. Issues included:- We were informed that the property would be on line the Thursday, was eventually on line the Saturday; With inaccurate spelling on the word “instruction”. A for sale sign erected at the property with very incorrect property details. An incorrect map location on various apps. We were told that this was down to the app, we have since found out that this is clearly not the case. When the property is being uploaded, the user can select a location. Clearly another case of human error and a mistake been made. However, the solution offered by Chestnut was to remove the map location, which then resulted in it not appearing on searches correctly. We requested a for sale sign to place in the window as the sign erected wasn’t visible from the main street. Despite a couple of reminders, this never happened. A somewhat inaccurate floor plan which was brought to Richard’s attention the same day it was presented; never any attempt to remedy or correct. The property overlooks the river, no river view. My dismay was raised but never addressed. This is clearly a key selling factor, something that is was completely missing from the promotional materials I also voiced other concerns about the overall appearance of some of the photos; The photo of the front view of the house did not do the property any justice at all. All the photos were taken by someone who would be better suited to portraits or a fashion shoot. Some pictures were taken with a far too wide angle lens making rooms appear smaller than they actually are. One round mirror in the lounge appeared so stretched it looked ridiculous. I have always been a keen supporter of small to medium enterprises and local businesses, Another reason why we selected Chestnut solutions. Would I do the same again in this instance, definitely not.
Hello Paul, thank you for taking the time to write this review which as can be seen from the rest of our reviews is unusual. They are normally extremely positive and clients are normally delighted with our service. That said it is not always possible to please everyone all of the time, this is why we have a policy of a very short term contract that gives the option to terminate with 24 hours notice (we only wish to work with clients that want to work with us). You chose to give 7 days notice as opposed to the minimum, we agreed to this to enable your new agent to prepare marketing material and therefore never be off the market as we were fully aware of your need to sell your home quickly. In connection with the property photography, this is the first time in 3 years that we have received such feedback. The initial marketing we undertook on social media was overwhelmingly positive (the comments in the post speak for themselves). At outset it was explained that your beautiful home occupied a very specific niche and could take sometime to find the correct buyer and 4 weeks certainly was not long enough, that said we reiterate if you do not want to work with us then you can leave at any point. As we firmly believe in a partnership of working with clients and if this is not possible it is better to part company. Our business primarily comes from word of mouth recommendation which is usually reflected in the positive reviews we receive, I am genuinely sorry that this is not the case this time. Finally we wish you all the very best in finding a buyer and moving home smoothly.

He was a more than wiling to help move things along with regards to the conveyancing and solicitors especially with the vendor being based out of the country. GoogleAfter ruling out three well-known local estate agents because they were either ridiculously pushy or seemingly totally uninterested, we decided to try Chestnut Solutions to see if they really were different from the others, as was claimed on the leaflet we had just received through the door. We're so glad we did and would recommend them to anyone. Richard gave us a truly personalised service, keeping us informed throughout the process in a good-humoured and friendly manner and doggedly investigating and sorting the inevitable hold-ups along the way, with the result that the whole process was considerably less stressful than it might have been.
