Richard Bray is an amazing solution to the service gap in the local real estate scene. My family has recently relocated to York from California, so our knowledge of the local real estate market was null. We spent a year searching the local area for a suitable home for our family, and in that process we worked with 4 so called "leaders" in the local real estate market. They would send us recommendations for completely unsuitable homes, and were generally unreliable. We would show up to view properties and the representatives from the agency would not be familiar with the property or be able to answer simple questions. Richard, was the complete opposite. He is an expert in the local market, listened to what we told him our priorities were, and was able to answer and advise on every aspect of our search. He found us our dream home where we plan to live and raise our children in, and he did so within 3 weeks of meeting him! I will look for any opportunity to refer Richard to anybody needing to buy or sell a home, and if the time ever comes to sell our home, he will be my first call!

Richard addressed each issue and challenge with confidence and professionalism, providing clear and honest assessments, options and guidance. Alongside these key attributes, Richard's upbeat outlook helped get us through a couple of difficult days. It helps that he also happens to a really nice guy; it's a bit corny l know, but l never felt he was working for me, more like having a friend sell my house. Richard has sold 2 properties for my partner and I over the last 12 months. The first was a property in quite a niche market in rural York and was quite a sensitive sale. Richard was the second agent to market the property and the difference was night and day. We were one of his buyers, and yet he supported us through the process (which was a nightmare for lots of reasons at our end), was very pleasant to talk to, and genuinely seemed to care that everyone was happy.
