Ashtons particularly Hannah have offered nothing but a top quality service in the selling of my house in York. It has been quite a ride, along the way, due to a buyer dropping out when we were well into negotiations but Hannah was unpertubed and quickly remarketed and promptly sold my property once again. Throughtout this difficult Lock down time (which again delayed proceedings) she kept me uptodate and well informed of proceedings. Alaying my many worries and anxieties. I reccommend both her and Ashtons without reservation.

From the very first valuation visit to the phone call to tell me my sale was completed, I have received an exemplary service from Ashtons. The valuation was spot on and the house sold within 3 viewings, as rather than have scores of people traipsing through your home they match potential buyers accurately with the correct property. Every phone call was returned, every e mail answered. I cannot fault the service I have received during what is a stressful process. The staff recognise this and guide you through the process seamlessly with empathy but whilst still being consummate professionals. As I was also buying a property I dealt with other estate agents during my search and this only served to highlight how Ashtons are in a class of their own. I cannot recommend them highly enough, an amazing team of people.

Steer clear

The most unpleasant experience I have ever had with an estate agent. This once market leader has become the worst estate agent in York and it is all down to the attitude of the front line staff. Staff couldn't even answer the phone in a professional manor, never once got back to me and when chased they were rude on the phone. When questioned about their commitment to their responsibilities they became arrogant, even more rude and passive aggressive. If you ever have need of an estate agent, steer clear of these guys, they are the worst.

Amy, Beth-Ann and Simon were incredible throughout and supported us through every step of the process from valuation and sale, through to purchase and completion. The team kept us consistently up to date (not something you get with every estate agent!), and worked through any challenges with us to ensure a timely resolution and successful move. Fantastic from start to finish. Just completed as a FTB where the Vendor used Ashtons. Immediately liked Ashtons and could see they were different to other EA's I've dealt with. I particularly liked how the viewing was conducted when Hannah showed us around. She didn’t crowd us so we could have a good look around. No pressured sales tactics, no poetic license, and was on hand to answer questions when we had them. She was also very knowledgeable about the property. I always felt that they had both parties interests at heart, rather than just working for the Seller / their Client. We used to rent through Linley (who I had multiple issues and problems with and they were always clearly only in it for their commission and wholly their Landlords interests). With Ashtons, they were very honest and balanced and I would 100% recommend them. They seem to have a really solid team setup and mentality going on, and someone else would always get back to you if for example, a colleague wasn’t in that day. Credit where it is due. Thanks to Sarah as well who was also great and really friendly too.
