Sold my house with Ashtons, they were proactive and organised and I can't fault them at any point in the process. Whenever I rang up: phones were answered quickly, messages were passed on and everyone seemed up to date on the status of the sale as well as everyone being friendly, helpful etc. Sarah was super helpful in chasing up on the status between solicitors/buyers and providing me updates quickly either over the phone or via email.

Ashtons were great to deal with, especially Olivia. If it wasn’t for her keeping me regularly updated, I wouldn’t have known what was happening with my house purchase. She was always in contact and kept me informed every step of the way, far more than my solicitors. We bought a property through Ashtons in December 2025. We had a rough journey with the sale of our house and consequently had 2 sales fall through before eventually securing a purchase with Ashton’s in Stockton Heath. Therefore we viewed a lot of properties with a lot of Estate Agents. I have to say that Ashtons were the best Estate Agents I dealt with out of all that I used within the area. The team were helpful, supportive and always called me back and replied to emails. I can’t thank Brad, Mollie and Cathy enough for being so lovely to deal with. Brad was amazing from start to finish and gave so much advice and support that I don’t think the whole process would have happened without his help! I would thoroughly recommend using Ashtons of Stockton Heath, I honestly couldn’t fault them!

From our first viewing with Rachel to the purchase of our amazing first house with the help of Sarah and team, the whole experience of buying our new home through Ashtons was absolutely fantastic. They were all very friendly, personal but professional and couldn't do more to help you in answering any questions. We never once had to chase them for updates because they constantly kept us in the loop throughout. They explained every process in detail and if there were any delays they were honest and tell us straightaway. And to top it all off after we collected the keys we walked into our new home with a beautiful little hamper awaiting us on the kitchen side which had been left by Ashtons! We have been really impressed with Ashtons throughout the process of selling our house. After not having much luck with a different estate agent, as soon as we switched to Ashtons we had a big increase in viewings being booked, without having to drop the price. We have recently completed the sale of our property in Acomb which was marketed by Ashtons. Their whole marketing process was extremely professional starting with a visit from Jack Griffin who favourably valued the property and explained their marketing approach. Oliver Grimshaw prepared an extremely professional brochure and willingly revisited to take additional photos of various parts of the property which we suggested would show the property to its most advantageous. Sarah Stewart and her team in the Acomb office kept in close contact with us regarding viewings which they handled on our behalf and reported back promptly after each viewing which helped keep the whole process as stress-free as possible. Sarah handled the negotiations around offers which were received quickly and kept us informed even to the point of contacting other estate agents involved in what was a short but involved chain of purchasers/vendors. The continued attention to detail and complete support of the Ashtons team was without fault, and we are pleased that we engaged Ashtons to handle the sale of our Property in York. We would confidently recommend them as a professional, experienced and trustworthy agency to others.

I used Ashtons to rent my mother’s house out when she went into a nursing home and then to sell it when she passed away. In both cases all of the staff were professional, approachable and reliable. The reports they sent of the rental inspections were very thorough and when the house was on the market they set up lots of viewings and gave me detailed feedback each time. I would highly recommend them, particularly Sarah Stewart who is a consummate professional.

Have recently sold two rental properties with Ashtons and the service we received on both occasions was excellent. Expectations are clearly communicated and they update you at every step of the process. Never had to chase anything as they were always on top of what needed to be done and always kept us in the loop. As we were in a different part of the country their comprehensive oversight of every aspect of the process was very reassuring. Huge thanks to Sarah in particular who showed real initiative. At one point a bottle neck nearing completion meant the agreed date might be missed with negative financial implications. Sarah came up with a simple but ingenious idea to solve this. Very grateful. We recently sold our property and bought a new build through Ashtons, Acomb. We initially dealt with Jade who arranged for us to view the show home and she came to our property to talk us through the selling process and she was fantastic. When the house went on the market we had viewings straight away and many of them so we felt hopeful. We did feel that the right agent wasn’t conducting the viewings after the first few weeks….then Amy stepped in and what a difference she made!! She was fantastic and sold our house in no time and she was always happy to feedback on viewings. We had a massive delay in our new build being ready and the date kept moving and she kept in touch all the time and I believe that Amy is one of the reasons our buyers didn’t drop out as she was constantly updating them and reassuring them. Amy is a real credit to Ashtons and if she says she will look into something for you….she does! Anytime I called or emailed nothing was too much trouble! Highly recommend requesting her if you’re buying or moving! Ashtons as a whole were great and the team at the Acomb branch are fantastic namely Jade and Amy! If we ever decide to move again we will definitely choose Ashtons. Thank you for eventually getting us into our lovely brand new home! She deserves 5 stars on her own, but unfortunately I could only give 4 stars as their admin side let them down.
