Bungalow Sold

We used Micharl Poole to sell my late fathers property. The service was professional throughout and I have no complaints whatsoever. I dealt mainly with Stacey who was always polite, professional and curtious. Stacey was always quick to respond and proactive in keeping me updated throughout the whole process. I dealt with a couple of other people on occasions where Stacey was unavailable and they too were helpful and passed on information when required to do so. The Bungalow sold today I would use Michael Poole again in the future.

I have bought and sold many houses over…

I have bought and sold many houses over the years and this has been the worst experience ever. Rude, ignorant and unprofessional, particularly Helen. Made the experience unnecessarily stressful. Kirby was the only person who was any help. On top of this the property was miss advertised. It said recent re wire. As it turns out is was 11 years ago. Avoid this company at all costs!

3 years ago we had a great buying experience with MP so we automatically employed them for our house sale. Once again Nick at MP provided a warm and friendly service. There were issues along the way (well, one big one) but Nick dealt with them in a professional manner providing outstanding levels of communication back to us. Amazing service from Amber and Nick and a really speedy process. Viewings were arranged straight away and we received asking price offers from all of our first three viewings. This was really beneficial to us to have our choice of buyers - as we were buying a new build and needed someone who could move quickly and not delay us with their chain. During the process of getting valuations, another estate agent had recommended advertising our house at £10k less than we did and implied the prices in my area were unjustified. We are really glad we chose Michael Poole as the experts in Yarm/Eaglescliffe as the quick sale shows the other agent was undervaluing our property - this money has made a lot of difference to our moving costs. Amber kept me updated on the buyer’s progress weekly and helped to push the sale along throughout - we exchanged contracts in just 6 weeks which was perfect for us buying our new home from a developer.

Caveat Emptor

I do not understand how this firm is rated 4.8 when 10% of the reviews are 1 star and nearly all are complain about misrepresentation. I HAVE COMPLAINED TO TRUSTPILOT ABOUT THIS BUT HAVE BEEN IGNORED. Estate Agents generally hide behind caveat emptor rules to enable the vendor to hide undesirable aspect of the property for sale. But this the first time (and I have bought and sold many houses in my life time) I have come across a fact stated in a advert that was known to be untrue by the agent. I complained to the Managing director Richard Poole by email and written letter but both were ignored. However copies of these sent to the auctioneer were acted upon. Personally I will avoid this estate agent and recommend others to do so.

Thanks to the team at Michael Poole Yarm for being so good through out the process of selling our property. The team helped with communication issues with other parties, provided us with timely updates and answered any questions. This was the second experience we had with Michael Poole. First purchasing last year and now selling. After deciding to move back to our home town we originally tried to save some money by using a free online agent (what a massive mistake that was!) after a couple of months we rang Michael Poole, they came out instantly to value our property, did a few viewings for us and sold it quickly to a perfect buyer! Nic, Gill and Derek were all a huge pleasure to deal with and made the process smooth and easy keeping contact throughout.
