We viewed a property with Mel to rent and myself and my partner were unsure about it. Mel, unlike other lettings agents didn't push the property and said that she also didn't feel the property was for us. She arranged for us to see another property that we are moving into soon. Given the current lettings market, Mel is the only agent who kept in contact, communicated with us regularly and genuinely took our needs into consideration. I would highly recommend that if you are looking for a property you speak to her. Definately number 1 estate agent. Thank you so much Mel. I know some people reading this will think that we only left a good review because we secured a property, but I would have left a good review even if we hadn't of taken the property.

I can't recommend W Welch highly enough. My son and his friend had been looking for a flat for a while, with no luck. That was until we viewed a property with W Welch. They operate differently to other agents, so we were able to secure the property after viewing it. The entire process has been so easy and pleasant, thanks to Melanie in lettings. The flat is lovely and my son and his friend are very grateful that they were able to rent it.

From the moment we meet Wes we knew we had found our estate agent! Apart from being knowledgeable and always available Wes and his team are extremely friendly and fun to deal with. I had a really awful experience selling my flat with them. They were very pushy and were selling to buyers that were going to rent my flat out ( using them as the rental agent) . Even though I was paying them a lot ( fixed fee) to sell my property it felt like they were working for my buyers. They bullied me down in price at every turn and even tried to get me to pay for my buyers survey. At one point they said that there were planned building works on my flat's building that would cost me £6000 a year, looking back I should have asked for proof but I was so bullied and stressed. Worst estate agent experience I have ever had. REPLY I can't seem to reply to Welch's response directly. But in response to it being 7 years ago, of course I wrote a review then saying exactly the same thing!!! It was totally ignored. You will be able to find it. I know it was a bit ridiculous to write another review but every so often I think about how much money I lost (and how many years it took me to recover) and how Welch behaved. When I let it get to me, it is really upsetting. Considering one of the last conversations I had with Welch estate agents on the telephone was me saying " You are going to have start behaving like human beings or I will pull out of the sale". I don't have any faith it would have been "dealt with immediately". All that did was cease the bullying and made them rush the sale through before I could action pulling out.

Despite being a challenging situation with the other owner we managed to successfully sell the house. Wes was fantastic throughout, keeping us updated the whole way and also offering to check the property when bad weather as he knew we live a number of counties away. Our recent experience of selling and buying has been the most complex and stressful ever...and this is our eighth and last move!!! We had our offer which we accepted last August and only completed on June 25th. This was due to collapsed chains and appallingly bad behaviour from property investors. Throughout all of this Wes Welch kept us calm and worked so hard at keeping it all together; constantly contacting all parties involved, putting me on speakerphone so I could hear for myself what he was having to deal with. Wes was always contactable and professional. The service he provided was excellent value and we would certainly recommend his company to other sellers.

He asked what I wanted from him and I said I wanted absolute honesty and no spin and this is exactly what I got. Direct answers to direct questions. I liked the no BS approach personally. I found Wes very responsive and he never failed to get back to me when he said he would. He was good value for money and he kept everything running as we asked - selling 2 houses and buying one is not a stress-free experience - especially in a pandemic! - and while one sold quickly, the other took longer but Wes was able to keep everything going. When it came to selecting an estate agent, we were initially very wary. Past experiences had not been very favourable, as they all seemed to say the same type of things, overpromised and we never seem to speak to the same representative twice. The experience with Welch however couldn't have been more different. Wes and his team have delivered an exceptionally personal and professional service. I highly recommend using Welch’s. We initially decided to sell our flat with Welch’s as we were buying a house they were selling. Wes was friendly and helpful but we had met plenty of nice estate agents wanting to sell our home, it can feel hard to choose! But ultimately it made sense to sell with Welch’s. Well, I’m really glad we did, Wes goes above and beyond to keep you informed and assist in making your sale/purchase as smooth and stress free as possible ( pretty tough job!) Understanding our busy working schedules Wes called out of hours regularly to give updates or just check in. With buying previously the most frustrating element was lack of communication, but that was not a worry here. Wes, Ben and any one I spoke to at the worthing branch were always polite and happy to help. They are honest, seriously hard working good people. I would use them again should we ever go through the rig moral of moving house again!

We had some issues with our previous letting agent finding a new tenant after 5 years of great service and thought it was time to move on after our property was vacant for a month. We started looking for a new agent and that’s when we met Wes and David from Welsh, these chaps were amazing from day one, they literally turned up at the house, had a look around and said we have no idea why this property hasn’t been let. There was some minor works which needed sorting and they dealt with the lot and true to their word two weeks later a tenant moved in. Wes and David aren’t the only ones at Welsh, the entire team have been fantastic and really looked after us. If you’re looking for a fantastic agent who cares and can deliver a personal touch then Welsh is definitely worth approaching to see what they can do for you. As with the review left by a purchaser 3yrs ago we found Wes Welch to be very unhelpful, communication was very poor and rude, not only to his client but to other professionals. He only seemed to be interested in selling to someone who would rent out our annexe. When we wanted to accept an offer from someone he obviously disapproved of he totally lost interest.Our exchange and removal date was arranged by our solicitor , he made no attempt to contact us even to the point of handing over keys, we were told, again by our solicitor that we had to give him a set of keys, when we arrived at his office(house) we were eventually greeted by his wife to hand the keys to. Totally unprofessional and would advise anyone to avoid like the plague, ,we really have no idea what we've paid him for. Read your contract and property details thoroughly before signing .
