I both sold an existing property and purchased the new one via Mayfair. The initial valuation of the existing property was far more involved and honest than any competitors. They arrived with printed examples of other properties that had sold in the area and discussed possible prices based on whether we needed a quick sale or were looking to wait for best price. Sounds basic but in comparison to others that turned up with no prep and quoted prices that seemed optimistic at best, it was the sort of honest service we were looking for. We said we’d take some time to think on it and there was no hard sale in the meantime. When we gave the nod, the advert was online same day. We actually found a property we really liked being marketed by Mayfair. A quick call and a viewing was set up. Again, sounds simple but it wasn’t the experience we had from other agents. We had a number who outright refused to give us a viewing if the current property hadn’t sold or asked a set of questions that just seemed to be aimed at discouraging you. I absolutely understand it’s the agents responsibility to filter the dreamers and not waste anyone’s time but that’s the skill of a good agent, to be able to judge whilst remaining polite and accommodating as best they can. Everyone’s situation is unique and it can change overnight. As it was, our property sold within a day and we never went back to one particularly rude agent who were advertising a property we really wanted to see as we couldn’t see the buying process going smoothly with them involved! Anyway, viewed property, loved it, offer accepted. For reasons outside anyone’s immediate control, the chain went on for some time and there were some seriously stressful moments. The team at Mayfair were fantastic throughout and genuinely went above and beyond to help where they could, assist in chasing and try keep us sane! Everything completed in the end and we’re incredibly happy in the new home. Bottom line: if I wrote down everything I wanted/expected from an agent, Mayfair hit the nail on the head. It seems such service isn’t standard in the industry.

From the outset, the team’s enthusiasm, quality of marketing approach and materials, communication, and sheer professionalism filled me with confidence and trust, and that trust was soon rewarded with my property being sold in a timely manner and at a good price. And even after the sale was agreed in principle, I was regularly updated on how matters were progressing, and any apparent delays within the conveyancing process were always chased up and resolved in short order. We relocated to Weston from Reading and received an excellent service from all at Mayfair. As we were not local for viewings, the team were most accommodating in arranging additional visits to our purchased property whenever we were in the area. Our solicitors weren't the most forthcoming with information, and we had quite a few delays on our exchange date due to silly queries, but Becky did a fantastic job of liaising with all the other agents in the chain and keeping us informed. If we were ever to consider selling then I wouldn't hesitate to use Mayfair.

Originally approached Mayfair to sell my property and after measuring and our initial meeting very rapidly turned round an example buyers pack and provided great information however due to the pandemic never put up for sell more recently Mayfair were acting as the agent for the property we were buying and have been fantastic throughout. Allowed us to have multiple viewings and didn't rush us around the property. Becky in particular has been an absolute gem to deal with.

The service from the Mayfair team was excellent. From the outset, the sales team worked quickly to get the property on the market as soon as possible and sales brochure and website details were imaginative and sympathetic to the property. Once on the market, the team produced enquiries and viewings very quickly and brokered a sale almost immediately. When that sale fell through, through no fault of ours or Mayfair, a second sale was produced almost immediately. Once the sale was agreed, the Team were excellent at helping progress the legal process despite a number of obstacles raised by vendors immediately below us in the chain and beyond. They worked proactively with other agents and solicitors to smooth the way to completion within a timescale acceptable to all concerned. Very happy with the service and help I received from Mayfair with my recent house purchase. The fact that I was living overseas made contact etc a little more difficult but all the Mayfair staff ensured that everything was taken care of setting my mind at rest.
