Hello Junhong, we have noticed that you have amended your review which was previously a 5 STAR REVIEW. Its very sad to see that you have chosen this path simply because you didn't get your own way. You rented a property from us in Sheffield and generally, the tenancy went well, you paid the rent on time and communication was good. Without fail at every inspection we talked to you about the domestic cleaning routine at the property and you made comparison to the standard in other rental properties. We explained, this is not the bench mark and expressed the need for a good cleaning routine. We also advised against over filling the property and the tenancy also states clearly what wall hangings are allowed or that things must be put back as they were. A month before the end of the tenancy which we adopted a very flexible approach on the notice period for, we sent a move out guide which explained what had to be done. This is designed to ensure your bond is returned in full and make it clear the main items to address which can cause problems. We can make no apology for insisting on properties being cleaned including carpets as per the agreement. We do this to maintain the standard of our stock for the benefit of all. We do not profit from this, the cleaners do as someone has to clean up or paint a wall if you do not. We are however sorry if you felt the communication of what was required let you down and we will now review this to see what improvements can be made. Your earlier review was 5 STAR but even when you suggested you would change it to a negative one if we didn't drop the cleaning and minor issues, I'm afraid we have to have the courage to maintain our approach and not bow down to this approach. Its disappointing when we strive hard to be open and fair that you have chosen to be negative like this. A Large portion of your bond was returned to you and you have now bought your own house. On this basis, renting is a thing of the past for you and we wish you all the success for the future. Kind Regards - Oakwood Property
