I went to Dixon for a flat on Oldbury

I went to Dixon for a flat on Oldbury, all god till i got there to see the propriety i was shocking in what condition was the flat, absolutely disgusting, they want 850£ rent for one bedroom and another 850£ deposit, the condition of the walls absolutely unbelievably all wallpaper falls down and tales from kitchen missing, no dors between bedroom and kitchen, and at the end I have refused to get the flat they refuse to refunding my holdings fees, absolutely legal robers this agents.

The team at Dixon's have been brilliant, my partner sold two houses and bought our new home through them all in the space of a year (hectic the last few months of the process) Christine found a boat load of houses for us to view and came along to almost every viewing, she was adamant to find us a house and is always the lovely lady on the end of the phone. Haley has been an absolute gem, helping in every single way possible, even when it's not in her job description; the very definition of going above and beyond! Special mention to upstairs (Sally the mortgage lady) she made the process less daunting, gave great advice and helped in any way she could aswell. All in all, very pleasant experience and would recommend!

The team at Dixons have been fantastic both with my purchase in the past and with my sale in the last few months. Right from the start and Becky’s house visit for the valuation everything was explained clearly and in a positive way. After we made it to market Christine, Laura and Hayley made the process incredibly smooth keeping me updated with everything that was going on and letting me know when anything needed doing to progress the sale. I’d recommend the team at Dixons to anybody as they truly care about their clients and couldn’t have been anymore helpful.

Bad experience

I would strongly advise to stay away from dixons/countrywide letting agents from managing a rental property. Especially the Warwickshire office as they would do everything in every opportunity to instruct their own contractors making false allegations of works required on the rental property to make money for themselves. They also hide their complaints procedures when contacted directly and asked about the process and their calls are not recorded so they make things up and completely disregard any instructions given by the landlords. Unfortunately complete professional crooks. They will put all sorts of barriers to raise a complaint and refrain from providing a final response to prevent escalation for their governing body to investigate.

We were recommended to Sally Hall from a family member when we started looking for a house. We decided to go with Sally for the mortgage and stick with Countrywide for all legal requirements too. As first time buyers we found everything so useful being within one company and all in-house. Sally couldn’t do enough for us, if we chased anything up she would have the answers for us. In our first initial meeting, she explained everything to us clearly and we had a very quick understanding of mortgages and insurances etc that go with it. Very polite and professional but also felt comfortable as soon as we met. Couldn’t recommend Sally enough!

My daughter has been looking for her first home to go with her new job at the safari park. It's 200 miles from home. She had been promised a mortgage for a property at another estate agents but luckily continued to search. The staff at Dixons, Sally and Hayley were very kind and patient explaining why a mortgage would not be available to her. Sally took the time to ring me to explain what had happened, I am so grateful that Dixon's staff have such high standards and concern for the welfare of their customers. Hayley made a follow up call the next day. I found them to be both polite and cheerful and nothing was too much trouble, many thanks all round

5 Stars from start to finish! We booked a viewing of one of Dixons properties and we were offered a meeting with their mortgage and protection adviser. We had our viewing and then we were introduced to a very smiley and friendly lady called Sally Hall, she made us feel instantly at ease. We were both concerned that we wouldn't be able to obtain a mortgage and would be interrogated by a stuffy jobs worth. Quite the contrary, Sally was so welcoming and helpful, made everything nice and easy to understand. Didn't try to "sell" us, just explained the facts and let us make our own decisions. As you may have guessed, we took Sally on as our adviser. I'm pleased to now say that we have exchanged contracts and are about to move in. I would like to thank Sally for being a rock to my wife and I. Happy to talk whenever, even on her holiday! You have been great and not only did you help us through with every stage, I'm happy we have made a friend as well. To all the Dixons staff and Sally, thank you so much for everything! We Can not fault the service we have been given , Sally Hall has been there every step of the way with the support we needed. Disgusting Company! - AVOID!!

I Wouldn't even give this place 1 stars!They are the rudest estate agents iv had to deal with (Selly Oak Branch), iv recently just moved out of a property which I rented through Dixons & id definitely AVOID now if I was going to rent again . Timothy Reynolds was nothing but rude about me leaving threatening extra charges for leaving the property as he couldn't be botherd to read my tenancy agreement and see that under the break clauses I ended my tenancy in the correct way. All he cares about is getting his commission at the end of the day from there over priced properties. Daniella Lawmon also rude from this branch, questioning me about why I was leaving the property & also trying to threaten me with additional charges which where NOT in my agreement. They don't push the landlord on getting any repairs done they just fob you off on the phone with aload of rubbish to make sure you keep paying that rent every month so they get their commission!!. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

Fake electrical certificate was given when bought a house through Dixons in Yardley

Bought a property through Dixons has a first time buyer and even decided to use David Smith for my Mortgage and I can say what a lovely man he is, he did all the hard work and running around, kept me updated at all times right until I had my house keys so thank you to him, will definitely be using him again and recommending him to all. When initially putting an offer on the house, I felt when it came to the price Zoe was playing on the fact I really liked the house and wanted it and so games were being played and I ended up paying £5k over the asking price which I really regret because when moving into the house, I found so many problems. When I spoke to Zoe about dodgy Electric work with a fake certificate given, she ignored it and said she can't do anything, even thou the person who sold the property is well known to Dixons. Highly advise everyone to paid and get a survey completed and not just rely on the Bank to theirs. Elite Properties LTD is the company that's sells house through Dixons with fake electric certificates.

Dixons Erdington Letting Services

Dixons Erdington, are a subsidiary of Countrywide run from their Warwick office. They provided abysmal management of my property. They missed 10 inspections over 5 years, lost the original contract, failed to handle tenant communications and their convoluted processes lead to repeated mistakes. Manager Raza Muhammad ignored my correspondence, was borderline aggressive when spoken to on the phone (the single time he spoke to me) and failed to provide the requested Terms of Business or confirm a move-out inspection, leaving me unaware of my property’s condition for re-letting. The branch was inexplicably closed during opening hours when I arrived to collect my keys, despite prior notification.

Having been in our house for 40 years moving was a daunting business. Dixon's only sent potential buyers, not viewers, so we bought and sold within 2 weeks. Christine and Hayley were so helpful in keeping the paperwork moving and explaining each stage. They were well informed and professional making the whole process stress free and within a reasonable time frame. Highly recommended.
