I asked for a valuation. Guy attended the site, all good. I was told I would hear back: nothing. Even after 2 weeks. I was called by head office, stating if I needed anything further. I stated I hadn’t heard from them regarding my valuation. The branch called finally called and he was a little hostile. He said that Guy had left the company. Very odd.

Appalling end of tenancy and deposit returns process. We vacated the property on 20 February, it’s now 13 April and I’m still waiting for the agreed deposit refund amount to be returned to me despite finalising this and providing my bank details over two weeks ago. The accounts team claims not to have my bank details, yet I received written communication from them on 31 March stating the funds had been transferred. Where to I wonder? I have sent a formal complaint to their complaints team today and raised this issue with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme.Additionally, we have spent weeks negotiating the final deposit deductions because Portico have tried to keep the full amount despite nothing on the checkout report being documented as “beyond fair wear and tear” - if scuff marks and plaster chips were present in the inventory, why would I be expected to foot the bill for redecoration of a property which has been sold? Absolute nonsense.Avoid renting through Portico at all costs.

GoogleI have used Portico twice in the last year. I have dealt with Jay, Sean, David and Chelsea. They were professional and I would highly recommend them to family and friends. Both properties were sold quickly and the service they provided was first class. They were great with communicating with solicitors and buyers.

GoogleI got recommend to Portico - Woodford office by a friend and I was extremely grateful. They sold my house for a great price within a very short period. This was purely down to the marketing strategy. The sales manager, Jay Williams is very experienced and his team really pushed for the right buyer.

At the begining of the tenancy: they been quite helpful until we got the keys. However, we found out some problems with the flat (hole on the wall, unfinished flooring,..) and they was not bother to check and repair.During the tenancy: I reported problems with lights, door lock, .. - they never come to fix.They always want to view the house on the same day without notification in writing. When they came in, they did not take their shoes off the carpet - How professional they are.At the end of tenancy, they tried to charge us £5k for damage without any reasonable grounds - the adjudicator, of course, did not allow them to do that. And He reduced the amount from £5k to £0.00They even tried to charge us £138, the fee to change the door lock which was repaired by the neighbor, and again adjudicator made them to charge us £0.00 instead.I would advise tenants need to be careful when dealing with them. If you can, JUST STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

Really odd experience with them. I was initially in contact with Meera about viewing a property. Viewing was cancelled and despite me following up several times I received no response neither by email or phone. Poor customer service and surprising from what I thought was a reputable brand.
