GoogleThe reassurance, support we have had as first time sellers, has been exceptional. If you are thinking of selling ask Hunters for a young agent called John Duffy. From the bottom of my of my heart, John thank you for listening and negotiating any issues we thought we had. You amicably sort them all out. Very excited we move n 7 days.

TrustpilotExpert advice! - Thank you Tom Moorhouse!
Expert advice!
The lovely Tom Moorhouse came to value our house on 22/08/2026.
He gave sound, candid advice which my husband and I are extremely appreciative of.
Although we are not in the position to list our house right now (no fault of Tom's), we'll certainly be back within 12 months.

GoogleI'd highly recommend the Hunter's Wokingham office if you're looking to sell your house. John Duffy was my main contact and he was excellent in every aspect. Great communication skills and very good customer service for myself, the viewers and agreed buyers of the property. I appreciated his regular contact, his enthusiasm and motivation. This was what was needed. The sale of my house went smoothly and was on time.

TrustpilotAwful
Awful. Incredibly disorganised. Would establish inspections and never turn up, would constantly email about overdue rent that wasn't overdue. Would pass the blame constantly. Attempted to raise my rent by a "reasonable" £200 a month six months into my tenancy which can only happen every 12 months and cannot be more than the CPI price index; they failed on both counts. Renting is honestly awful, and these clowns pray upon the anxiety of insecurity to get what they want.I have bought a house now, I wish all renters the luck to buy their own homes one day so we never have to deal with letting agents like these ever again.

TrustpilotAvoid This Agency
Avoid This Agency, Completely Fraudulent and Untrustworthy
If I could give zero stars, I would. I rented my property through this agency as a family home, but they have illegally turned it into an unlicensed HMO without my consent. Despite repeated promises from their agent Preeti that an HMO licence would be obtained, it never was.
My rent has not been paid for over amThree months, and my calls and messages are now being ignored. The tenants contact me directly because the agents refuse to take responsibility. I was told I would be reimbursed for repair costs, I provided all invoices, but not a single penny has been repaid.
The condition of my property now is appalling compared to how it was handed over. I have photos showing the before and after, it’s heartbreaking. After losing my father suddenly last year, this house held many memories, all of which have been completely destroyed by their negligence and deceit.
Do not trust this company with your property. They are dishonest, unprofessional, and exploit landlords. I strongly urge others to stay away, they will promise everything and deliver nothing.

TrustpilotJamie at Hunters -South West
Jamie is absolutely brilliant at his job.
I could not recommend him more!
I choose Jamie from a selection of other agents.
He is enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very easy to communicate with.
Always willing to pick up the phone and call me to update me on the sale.
Jamie went above and beyond for me, I am very grateful. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone!
Thank you Jamie

TrustpilotI would completely recommend avoiding…
I would completely recommend avoiding this agency, they are slow to respond, have no information ready at hand and this has possibly been the most annoying process of purchasing a property with them. There was a lot of missing information that I was not provided and they basically only know how to respond when they need something. You will call them and they say they'll get back to you and just disappear. Avoid if possible.

TrustpilotSales progression team lied and not very professional.
We are in the process of buying a bungalow at the moment and the sales progression team told us the vendor had been to sort the electrics and service the boiler..previous tennants had apparently got in debt so electric was cut off..Hunters lied saying this would be sorted. A second viewing 2 weeks later and a wasted 120 mile journey confirmed nothing had been sorted. When we told them we were disappointed with them we were told to leave the property.

TrustpilotAgent Harj was full of fake promises
Agent Harj was full of fake promises. Although he was all smiles and seemed friendly, the minute we left after our viewing he didn’t return texts or calls and shyed away from any contact. After several calls to the agents I finally managed to find out myself that the property had been given to someone else, rather than them calling me to inform me I had to dig this information out of them which was frustrating. Avoid!

TrustpilotRefused due to having children, unlawful discrimination
Contacted this agency regarding a view of 3-bedroom house. The advertisement contained no restrictions regarding families with children.
During the phone call, the first question asked was whether we have children. Once this was confirmed, we were immediately refused solely on that basis. I asked several times why this restriction was not stated in the advertisement, but I received no explanation or answer.
Refusing access to rented accommodation because a family has children constitutes unlawful discrimination under the Equality Act 2010. Letting agents are legally required to comply with this legislation, regardless of landlord preference.
This experience raises serious concerns about the agency’s compliance with UK equality law. I am sharing this publicly so other families are aware.

GoogleJohn is a diligent agent who takes the time to understand his buyers. His enthusiasm hasn't gone unnoticed throughout our process of buying with Hunters, he's accessible, responsive, cheeky (which comes with the territory) but most importantly he builds good rapport, listens well, knows how to motivate buyers & ultimately just gets the job done.

TrustpilotBad communication
I have been trying to contact them for 4 months in regards to my flat and contract but they are absolutely appalling at responses and making things clear and helpful for those they are letting to. They have sent me in so many different directions on who to contact and have stopped responding to me within one week of me first contacting them. On top of this it took them weeks to respond and report to maintenance issues, and when they did the response I got was rude and abrupt. As well as that they issues weren't resolved fully resulting in me feeling uneasy in what was meant to be my own space. Absolutely awful service and wouldn't even consider letting/renting from them again.

Pathetic estate agency! The guy who is showing properties mixing up addresses and you end up viewing a different one. If you make an offer they show a very keen interest in person then no-one ever comes back to you. The property owners will never get to find out who made offers and they may just losing out on perfectly good tenants…!They do not even talk to each other within the office to relay interest. You get a bunch of promise, but that is all!Laura is useless!

GoogleI wanted to take a moment to express my profound gratitude for the incredible service and support provided by the team at Hunters during our search for a new home. Your dedication, professionalism, and kindness have truly made this experience not just stress-free but also quite enjoyable and positive in every possible way.
To Matlinda - (Property Manager), your efficiency and prompt communication have been invaluable. You have made every step of the process clear and manageable, and for that, I am incredibly thankful.
My special thanks to Eltjon - (Estate Agent), whose efforts went above and beyond in securing our dream home. Your dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for having you as our agent.
Thank you for everything; we couldn't have done this without your help and guidance. We appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts. Sending a box of chocolates as a ton of love and appreciation.

TrustpilotValuation and extension options - excellent service
We contacted Hunters to explore our property options, particularly around extending our home, and to better understand both current and future values. From the outset, the service we received was exceptional.
Adam visited our property with genuine interest and took the time to understand how we currently use the space and how we hope to use it in the future. His thoughtful suggestions opened our eyes to possibilities we hadn’t considered, creative yet cost‑effective ideas that could give us the extra space we’ve been craving.
What impressed us most was Adam’s honesty and depth of knowledge. He provided clear insight into the current market value as well as the property’s potential, even highlighting grants we might be eligible for. His advice helped us think far beyond our initial plan and gave us confidence in the decisions ahead.
Hunters have proven themselves to be true experts in their field, professional, approachable, and genuinely invested in their clients. Adam, in particular, deserves recognition for helping us picture the full potential of our home and for giving us so much to consider.
We would not hesitate to recommend Hunters, and if we ever decide to sell, they will be our first choice of agent.

GoogleWhen I exited London, I had but a short time to find a suitable property. Having dealt with lots of agents over the years, Hunters are the estate agency model ‘others’ should adopt.
Professional, proactive and willing to go the extra mile with an astounding attention to detail that matters.
Special mention to Abi, Max and Gill.
Forget the usual incentivised £££ hard lined approach, this company truly offers a fine tuned, personal and relaxing approach to finding a new home.
If you’re seeking a property around Wokingham, Hunters is you’re first stop.
Outstanding!!

GoogleI can't recommend Hunters enough, Max had gone above and beyond whatever was asked of him even came around at a weekend in his own time if I had questions requiring an answer. Hunters did more in selling my home than any other agent in the area and did it in less than two months of being on the market unlike other agents who had taken over a year to achieve a sale at a price I was happy with. Max has been very supportive offering help and advice throughout selling my home so a big thank you to him and all at Hunters. A perfect example of how an Estate Agent should operate.I'd definitely use them again although now living in Andover. Thanks again so much for everything Max you are a star.

TrustpilotVery unprofessional and rude agents
Very unprofessional and rude agents. They repeatedly called me while I was at work, and when I finally got back to them, they booked a viewing for the next day and told me to meet outside the property at the scheduled time.
When I arrived and called their office, they initially lied, saying they would sort it out and call me back. After waiting 20 minutes with no update, I called again, only for them to blame me for going without having received an email confirmation, instead of acknowledging that their agent cancelled the appointment without notifying me.
Overall, very unprofessional.

GoogleHunters really made by journey very smooth to a beautiful rented accommodation that I liked very much. I moved from Mexico to Bracknell, UK, because of the job change. I had to find a nice family house for my small family in three months as I was in an apartment given by my company. Eltjon was very supportive and he not only showed me the house but assured me that after few formalities I can rent the house. Their process was simple and the communication was fantastic. I got my keys in time and lived for a year comfortably. In case of any issues, Eltjon and the team was very helpful and they took care of every small thing. I will highly recommend them if you are searching for a house to rent.
Thanks

Appalling group of folks!
This group has no idea what they are doing. we worked with Selina and she was absolutely clueless and brought wrong/unverified information to the table. If I were looking to rent, I would be running as far as possible from this agency or owners they work with! if there were minus points that is what I would give them for ripping a kid off!

TrustpilotCriminals
Misrepresentation, poor service, property management and unlawful practice
Unlawful terms in the tenancy agreements, do not uphold their mutual terms as the agent, assume consent to access outside of tenants availability and threaten to break in unlawfully. Have done repairs in house that have caused injury and condition of rental has damaged tenant belongings, mould not disclosed, just covered up to blame tenant later when we leave, constantly asking for access and putting employment at risk but accuse tenant of breach when asked for compensation as in the tenancy agreement . Barely manage property unless theyve been reminded something important has expired.
Estate agent happy to make threats to break and enter without legal knowledge, on behalf of a company that is owned by another agent that is well known for illegal practice, unsure if landlords know the legality of the contracts they've signed with Hunters without knowing and checking whether the terms are legal and lawful. Convinced they will be attempting to take money from the deposit as a form of ponzy scheme that pays for more unsafe repairs in propertys, check your doors, lights bulbs and curtain rails dont fall on your child's head, and if the property sets on fire Hunters will deny any accountability, so I doubt they will have integrity in the case of death and if you lose your job because of them they'll kick you out after breaking in (illegally) to make it possible to kick you out.
Staff cant cope with reading lots of words in a row, so they don't acknowledge or respond to complaint and the staff will reframe anything you say or do in their favour anyway.
Eve's review confirms our experience, its almost the same. They will evict if you ask them to ensure your home is safe and to uphold their mutual terms of the tenancy, they do not follow the eviction to repossession procedure lawfully and expect you to agree to hand the keys back by the notice period they decide at random without serving recorded notice and further violating access law. Using commercial laws for residential properties hoping noone will notice and they will not be accountable when the landlord is in court at their own expense.
