Terrible experience, avoid is possible…

Terrible experience with Stirling Ackroyd, particularly due to the poor management by our assigned agent, Dottie Wilson. Communication was consistently lacking, we had to chase her with multiple emails just to get basic responses, and even then, the replies were often vague or unhelpful. Throughout our tenancy, she offered little to no support, and never provided real solutions to the issues we raised. It always felt like she was acting entirely in the landlord’s interest, with no consideration for us as tenants. A very frustrating and disappointing experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this agency if possible.

Rino has been my main point of contact for a over a year and has been so professional, polite and more importantly is always quick to respond to requests whether for market rental reviews or just information. Absolutely brilliant!

We dealt with the Egham office where Mark. Ben and the team were brilliant. Quite frankly there was no comparison when selecting the estate agent we wanted to use compared to others in the area. Mark & Ben were very professional and were always on hand to answer questions giving us so much support through the whole procedure. From the valuation, viewings, paperwork through to completion it was a pleasure to deal with them. Five stars plus plus from me!

I bought my property through Waterfalls eight years ago and because they were so professional at that time I decided to sell my property through them and recently exchanged contracts. I have bought and sold a few properties over the years and I can honestly say that Dean and his team are the most helpful, conscientious and professional agents I have had the pleasure to deal with. Although there were a few hiccups with this sale in the latter stages, Bianca was unfazed and worked tirelessly to resolve them to great effect. I would strongly recommend Waterfalls whether buying or selling.

Don't let anyone tell you that all estate agents are the same - they are not! The team at Waterfalls have been friendly and helpful from the outset, and Bianca in particular was proactive in sending emails to all parties and getting the exchange on my sale and purchase done finally. She was kind and thoughtful to her client (who is 92!) and to me, when others in the process were being slow and seemed quite frankly uninterested. I cannot recommend Waterfalls highly enough.

Stirling Ackroyd in Mitcham is the number 1 estate agents in the area. Previously had many dealings with goodfellows but thought I would give stirling ackroyd a go after Charles came round to value my property and I was so impressed with his manner and his knowledge of the market. I then stepped into office a week later and met Robbie who further explained what Stirling ackroyd can offer and also his market knowledge showed me that Charles and Robbie were the guys who should be selling my property. 2 weeks down the line I put my property online with them and they quickly sold it as promised. Their service and care was amazing !…will 1000% be recommending to friends and family. I also have other properties that I will selling through this branch. Thanks Robbie and Charles, you both made my experience so so much better !

Since signing our tenancy agreement we have had NIGHTMARES with this scam company. Now been over 2 weeks and still no news when we will have our deposit back. Apparently Katy Harris has been trying to call the landlord but it’s table tennis, they keep missing eachother. In all my years at customer service and using a telephone I have never known a company incapable of contacting a landlord for feedback regarding releasing a deposit. Currently I’m sat on hold only for her colleague Amy to say she’s on a lengthy call so is unsure when she can put her through or even if I can get through. After waiting on hold for nearly 10 minutes Katy has managed to get a response from the landlord stating she will have answers at 4:30pm.. very close to the end of the day funny enough. She’s also requested that I do not chase her until after 5pm??? What a strange thing to request especially seeing as that’s when they will close for bank holiday. I’m sick to death of the pathetic excuse of an estate agency. Nothing but liars who get pleasure at messing people around, fobbing you off and failing to do their jobs time and time again.Stirling Ackroyd also ensured I would not need to conduct a professional clean as the property was so disgusting when we initially moved in. Confirmed by Becky - the lettings director and also Arran who was a Property Manager, even after having written confirmation of this agreement and providing this. Katy Harris still has to speak to the landlord to see whether she would charge us? I’m pretty sure if the landlord wants to go down this route even though it’s illegal considering we have a written agreement from 2 Stirling Ackroyd employees. They still said she can charge us? AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!! They will cause you nothing but stress and hold onto your money just simply because they are nothing but terrible people.AVOID AVOID AVOIDWon’t hold my breath on a resolution today or in the next week in fact.

Had such a great experience with Stirling ackroyd. Had the privilege of working with Joanna who made our experience in such a tough market worth while. Although we didn’t end up buying a property through Joanna (due to the marketplace being super super competitive) I wish we had as she is such an incredible agent. Really fought for us to get a property, gave us regular updates of new properties coming in! Always answered the phone or called back quickly (which is super important and can be rare in this market.. very friendly, honest and have given us such great advice throughout our process.. really thought about and cared for our needs which made such a stressful process much more bearable. We recently bought a property via Stirling Ackroyd, with Feroza Ahmed as our agent and we were very happy with the service that we received. From the moment we viewed the property, Feroza was informative, patient and extremely helpful. During the search for a new house, we dealt with a large number of estate agents over a period of 6 months and Feroza's approach was honest and personable; which was extremely refreshing. Unfortunately, our house purchase became somewhat complicated and Feroza was such a support to us - we really felt that she went above and beyond to do her best for us. We are not sure we would have continued with the purchase at times if we had been dealing with another agent.Based on our experience, we wanted to communicate that she is truly an asset to Stirling Ackroyd we will be recommending Stirling Ackroyd to any potential buyers that we meet.
