Disinterested, rude and lack of any service at all.

My husband and I are a professional couple moving back from the UK to France after 10 years away.We are searching for a rental property to begin with whilst we settle back in and then have a budget of £800k to buy a property. We contacted Michael Graham Aylesbury office to make an enquiry about renting as we like the look of some of their properties. On my second conversation with them I flagged a concern with them which was would they need to meet us in person for the right to rent checks. They emailed back to say yes. As we don't live in the country, and as my husband, to complicate matters further, works overseas (not UK or France) this would not be possible for us so I replied and ask if there was a way round this. I never heard from them again! Firstly, this is a concern that other agencies have overcome. Of course there is a work-around, like in anything in life. In any case, to just not respond is rude and also staggeringly short-sighted. I wrote to the Managing Director to hear his views but he didn't bother to reply either. Tellingly, their Facebook page review facility is switched off. We are pleased to have now found a partner agency who have helped us find a rental property and who will in the near future help us buy. This has been a very stressful time for us, relocating back to the UK and having to do it all from a distance. Michael Graham have lost out, but so have we on their properties, and all so unnecessarily.

Following quotes from numerous Agents we decided to go with Michael Graham as we felt the price was correct and the other agents had undervalued andto confirm that we had the house sold at full asking price on the first viewing we later had some issues below us in the chain which resulted in the sale falling through but after a while it was all back on track. The service we received was excellent thought the whole process with regular updates. The photographer was a professional and you could tell by the quality of the pictures they definately stood out from the rest. I will always recommend Michael Graham from now on as they are head and shoulders above the rest for service.

They were very helpful from beginning to end. Excellent customer service: great politeness, attention, guidance, queries always dealt with and raised as needed... When the communication between solicitors was not being too effective, they always let us know so that we could chase accordingly and fasten the process. They are quick informing on effective actions from the other party and from the bank that are key to the progression and completion of the process - so quick that our solicitor could’t beat them. From a buyer’s perspective, we would definitely recommend them. It is the best state agency service that I have ever dealt with. My husband and I are extremely pleased. Our agent was Simon Gates; our broker, Nigel. They both are fantastic at what they do. Simply remarkable.

Simon Gates came to appraise my property on 25th January. Whilst I was pleased with Simon's positive valuation of my house, I was most struck by his personable manner and his interest and enthusiasm in me and my home. Michael Graham offered me a free valuation despite knowing that I do not intend to sell my house. Given the efficient service I have received from the outset I would choose Michael Graham and preferably Simon, to sell my property, with the firm belief that they would be committed to doing so to the best of their ability and with enthusiasm.

We had been searching for a bungalow in Great Linford to move to for many months. We purchased our house in Great Linford in 2004 through Michael Graham and were very impressed with all aspects of their approach. We therefore had no problem in contacting them to discuss our requirements. Their branch manager, Simon Gates visited us and gave us his honest assessment regarding selling price and availability of our required new home. We then waited and in the 4-5 months that went by before our bungalow became available, he was in constant contact, asking to bring the odd viewer around. Then it all to came together. A Bungalow came onto the market and we viewed and agreed a price. They sold ours and the whole deal took just 92 days to complete. We have found them to be honest, reliable and entirely genuine, never promising but always being positive and realistic. A real joy to work with. We highly recommend them without any reservation

Simon from the Newport Pagnell Branch of Michael Graham represented the purchase of our new home just outside the town in April 17. By my own admission I have been highly sceptical about the value and purpose of Estate Agents in an online world. Let me say unreservedly the value Simon added to the process completely switched my thinking 180 degrees. We were part of a chain of seven people and I honestly don't think we would have ever moved if it were not for Simon's tenacity and willingness to put in the sheer leg work and phone calls with other agents and Solicitors to keep the process on track. Despite the numerous times I panicked and stressed out and felt like giving up; he always addressed my concerns at the first chance he could, even at one point responding to my emails when he was out the country on holiday. We truly love the home we purchased from him and have no intentions of moving again for many many years to come. However if we did, having learnt from this experience I would a) definitely use an Estate Agent b) without hesitation it would be Simon Gates at Michael Graham just for his sheer excellence of service, regardless of wether any quote was cheaper/dearer than other Estate Agents. Although I had genuinely never met Simon before this process by the end he felt like a friend. Through this online review I unreservedly am happy to recommend him to new customers

We found the Team at Michael Graham Newport Pagnell very helpful. Once we had the initial survey and assessment discussion everything moved very quickly. The photographer was very good and the photos produced were superb. The house had never looked so good! Simon appointed 2 of his sales team and both maintained regular contact, so we felt engaged and involved. The house was listed “in the window” on the Tuesday, went on-line on the Wednesday and we sold, for the full asking price, on Thursday. Job done! Very happy, thank you!
