GoogleReally helpful and professional. They managed the shared house where I was living for a year and I can’t say anything bad about Nicole. She helped me when I started and when I had to leave due to a job relocation, she was really understanding and supportive. The house in Hemel Hempstead was big, nice and well maintained.

Have had some tricky agents in the past as it can be difficult as a tenant (especially as a student tenant) , but both are easily contactable and always ready to help. Feels good to have an agent that is friendly and most importantly treats you like a person! Barrat Sales and Lettings give a personal touch to all service so would highly recommend to all of those in the area!

GoogleI would like to share my experience with this Barratt Letting agency just to make sure nobody else will do the same mistake I did with them. Just to make it clear , the first and most important thing you absolutely must do is taking pictures of every meter in the flat even places that you can’t imagine you need to and I will explain later the reason. When I first moved in I forgot to take pictures and the situation of the flat was as the following : -the walls of the kitchen were very dirty , there were marks everywhere. -the oven was full of food residue and rust so I had to clean it with very powerful cleaners to be able to use it . -the fridge was grimy as well and the door of it from the inside was broken. -the heaters in the flat have cracks along them and I mentioned that to them every time they made check visits and they said it is the situation with all the flats which have electrical heaters and they don’t know why and I don’t need to worry about it!! -the bathroom was not in very good condition. Now the funny things that the report mentioned after I moved out and they charged me of are : 1-the heaters are cracked!! 2-the walls behind the heaters have marks because I used the heaters (which I don’t know the purpose of them if I’m not supposed to use them!!) so they need to repaint the walls. 3-there is a hand mark on the window {but it was dark and raining that day when I checked out and handled them the key } and the flat was not clean so they need to bring “professional” cleaning company to clean it (bare in mind I cleaned it before I moved out ) 4-the oven was not clean !! And it needs “professional” cleaning as well….! And in fact the flat was relet and occupied straight away so they did not do any “professional” cleaning!!. So basically you must and I repeat you MUST take pictures to every thing in the flat the moment you step in and save them for later to protect yourself .
Hi Alaa, Sorry to hear you are upset about the deposit return process set by the DPS scheme. I note you didn’t mention the various burns to the carpets!! We don’t carryout our own inventory’s as we like to remain impartial, you had many photos taken on the check in report which you signed so I am unsure why you are saying you didn’t have photos at the beginning of the tenancy. I advised you when you gave notice to hand the property back in the same state as the check in report (Which was attached to the email) and you hadn’t cleaned the property at all, I had to find a cleaner and oven cleaning company quickly to resolve the issues you left behind.

They are very responsive and swift to deal with queries or matters, they are considerate and very respectful. They operate with an excellent code of ethics which enables us as tenants to feel comfortable and catered to at all times. I along with my housemates feel we have made the best decision in selecting Barratt Lettings as it has led to a positive experience in many regards.
