GoogleI would recommend a cardboard box on the street, rather than recommend this so-called "estate agency". They'll help you until they're paid and then a big middle finger to anyone silly enough to fall for their garbage. I recommend not dealing with these people

FacebookReported the house next door (students) multiple times now, this year and last. They have a wooden door the wood has obviously swelled up. Students being students coming and going all times during the day and night (early hours) it has to be slammed to shut. All I get told is we have no record of any complaints (liars) I wrote down times and date. Then we will get someone out to look at it. Spoke to one of the students yesterday and they have not heard a thing. Shame on you. If you lived next door to a door having to be violently shut at 2,3,4am you would complain. You assured me something would be done 6 weeks ago when I phoned. Perhaps I need to phone you day after day until it is fixed!

Karl, one of the members, was immediately willing to assist me in finding a place. At times when I wasn't satisfied with the options, Karl remained patient and understanding. After allowing me to look a different properties for awhile, Karl managed to curate the perfect place for me, consisting of all my discussed preferences. During this final process, Karl remained dependable. Upon selecting the place, he further illustrated this by his desire to help me with each step of the final process. Due to the helpful team at Winchester’s Martin and Co, I found the right place in short notice. As expressed above, the Martin & Co. Winchester team is a devout team that is passionate and eager to help those like me looking for a place.

GoogleI found Piers (Negotiator), Emily (Senior Administrator) and Georgie (Applications Administrator) at Martin & Co to be very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. From putting my case forward to secure the flat I wanted, to driving through my application so I could move in early saving me money that I would have had to spend on short term accommodation. GoogleMartin & Co have been our letting agency for over a year now and the service that we receive is excellent. Our rented house wasn’t in the best state of repair when we moved in, but the Property Maintenance Team did a great job of getting essential maintenance sorted within 48 hours. Sue from the Property Maintenance Team has been really excellent with the recent damage to our fence due to bad weather. She arranged for a contractor to visit and quote within 24 hours of us reporting the issue, and for the works to be completed within a week. Always responsive to emails and phone calls, and always professional and never had any issues. My partner and I have both rented for many years and never experienced such a helpful and professional team of people.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

GoogleDuring Covid-19 I was beginning the process of moving into rented accomodation for the first time since being a student. I had emailed and phoned many different companies across Hampshire and Martin and Co were the best! They were the quickest with replies, sorting out visits and ensuring everything was in order. I had travelled an hour and a half to visit 3 houses in Hampshire and two of the houses had to cancel once I already made my way down. I was very annoyed but Martin and Co managed to sort 2 extra visits and one of them is now my new house! They have been very accommodating towards me and sorting out extra things for me! GoogleSending a message to any students thinking of using this lettings agency. I would strongly advise the students of Winchester to avoid this organisation, they show no student support nor morality toward the student status. Not only do they rinse your loan but they take pleasure in doing so, and offer no advice or professional help in the process. Dear Melina, I am very sorry to read of your dissatisfaction following your recent Winchester tenancy. Having looked into the issues that you raised with your property manager and landlord and reviewed your inventory and check-out reports I can see that; The independent inventory confirms ‘that the property looked professionally cleaned at 2nd August 2019’ and this was supported by a cleaning receipt. The independent check out report at end of tenancy confirmed that ‘the property required further cleaning’ Total cost of commercial cleaning throughout, ready to re-let was £152 cost per person. £25.00 applied for a scorched desk which you helpfully confirmed was your responsibility. Your housemates agreed and accepted these deductions. You mention that your landlord attended without warning. Your landlord advises that he attended periodically to maintain the garden, I can see emails to the household advising of these visits on our management system Thank you for taking the time to feedback. I hope our emails and this information helps you understand why we and your landlord deemed the cleaning costs necessary, based on the condition of the house as reported in the check out report.
