GoogleJust sold my house with Gascoigne Halman and I can't fault them. James was exceptionally helpful because I didn't have a clue about buying/ selling houses and took the time to walk me through it. The only issue I have (hence the lack of a 5th star) is with Gascoigne Halman's recommended solicitors, Home Property Lawyers. I have not found them helpful, they are slow, don't respond to calls , emails, and a bit abrubt.PositiveProfessionalism

GoogleShockingly bad service Recently sold an apartment through them, they couldn’t get the first offer up at all even though £15k under asking Who offers under first offer and doesn’t expect to have it rejected and come up ? Then I literally heard nothing off them for months during the sale To top it off we have not actually heard off them the apartment sold last week and no thank you call, email or anything for giving them £3k in commission Yes they sold the apartment but being fair it was a very well priced apartment in Wilmslow which probably the easiest sale going Poor service and not even getting a call to say congratulations on your sale just shows they don’t care

GoogleThey say moving house is one of the most stressful things you can do in life and whilst this was definitely true for us, our experience was made less stressful by dealing with Lucy at the Wilmslow branch. Her professionalism was second to none. The purchase nearly fell through on a couple of occasions but Lucy really went to bat for us going over and above to ensure the purchase went ahead. The after sales service received was also fantastic. I can't recommend Gascoigne Halman enough and especially Lucy.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

I'm writing this having been the purchaser of a property, which may carry more weight than those reviews from sellers given the nature of the business. In short, Owen (from the Poynton branch) and his colleagues were astounding. Even with a vested interest in the sale going through (as we all had), Owen went above and beyond - giving the impression that we were his only purchase (which was obviously very far from the case). It may not be an exaggeration to say that Owen was the reason the purchase ultimately went through, even with some considerable bumps in the road. He was always approachable and helpful; an asset to the company!

The sale of my house took place during very difficult circumstances as the U.K. AND ISLE Of MAN were in lock down during different periods during the sale process .I couldn’t visit the property. The property had been rented with Gascoigne Halman for 12 Year before I sold it . The asking price was set at a good level the brochure was produced in a couple of daysand the sale proceeded well .The first buyers who bought the house within days they couldn’t get the mortgage they needed so the house went back on the market and sold again within a relatively short period of time in 5 months Oct to March the whole process was completed.I was kept up to date with emails and phone calls every time there was a viewingI had dealings with mainly one sales person James but when he was off others kept me informed Sue the sales secretary was also good at answering queries connected with the sales process. As I was at a distance I used a solicitor recommended by GH and was pleased with there services I also used an insurance company that was local.During the cold spell when prospective buyers visited James made sue the house was warm enough to prevent issues with burst pipes I was also alerted to problems with the loft door and garage door and was then able to use GH property maintenance to solve several issues.I think James gave the sale a personal touchFor me the all round service GH provided was very helpful in difficult working circumstances .I am very pleased with the outcome and would recommend them

I cannot fault the excellent customer service received from Adam and the team at Heaton Moor branch. The sale of my property was marketed to a high standard in a friendly, helpful and professional manner, and achieved a quick sale.Although my purchase of another property did not go ahead due to unforeseen circumstances I would have no hesitation in recommending Gascoine Halman in any future property transactions.

Frances Mason used our family to pump up other offers for the seller. She confirmed after a long and arduous process we'd had our offer accepted. She then encouraged the vendor and buyers carry on viewings in our opinion to gazump us. She knowing didn't send out a memorandum of sale to us for 5 days whilst getting other parties to outbid us. After we paid for searches etc Frances informed us someone had come in with another bid.......from there played us off as an auction for bidding. Then told us we didn't get the house. The next day it was put as STC for the other buyer. Something she refused to do for us in 5 days. She openly admitted on the phone she knew of another bid hence when she didn't do the memorandum of sale.She let us pay for searches while using us a pawn. It was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with any kind of company. There was no remorse and I don't know how she sleeps at night for a little but extra of commission.Openly trying to get improved offers and more viewing whilst sending us acceptance confirmation and letting us pay fees is a very very underhanded trick.

What went wrong? Well I was advised by this agency that the property had come off the market once my holding deposit was paid. Upon submitting my credentials for referencing which was with let alliance, I was advised by "Charlotte" a representative at Gascoigne Halman that the landlord has gone with another offer and would rather refund my holding deposit then proceed with my application. Honestly Disappointed with the service provided by this agency. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING WITH THIS AGENCY
