TrustpilotWell worthwhile visiting if you are thinking of buying a new Morris Home
Visited the new show home in Pavilion Row today, beautiful homes which are the best quality, shown around by Margie who is so lovely and welcoming, and informative as were all the staff.A really worthwhile visit if you’re thinking of buying a Morris home, even my husband was impressed.

TrustpilotSt Michael's Park - Northampton
Having completed the process of choosing a plot and gone through the choices with Jeanette and Aimie in the marketing suite. I am delighted to advise that they were always warm and friendly whilst maintaining a professional reassuring demeanour. They were both quick to get responses to our many varied queries and always approachable. We've now been living on the estate for 6 months and delighted with the choices. Thank you.Steve & Rhona

TrustpilotBuying our first home - Upton Dene
We bought our first home in December 2020 on the Upton Dene site.Karen in the sales office was very friendly and helpful throughout the buying process and always quick to respond to any queries that we had.Since moving in Barrie has looked after us and very quickly resolved any initial snags we had. He would always knock to keep us updated as to when people are coming in to the house to do the little jobs we asked and to check if it was appropriate and ok with ourselves.Really happy with our purchase, the buying process supported by Karen and also the immediate after care provided by Barrie.Thank you both! TrustpilotSt. Mary's Park
We found our experience of buying a property through Morris Homes to be relatively stress free. We were very impressed with the level of service we were given from their staff, on site, especially, Jo and June, in the Sales Office. Nothing was too much trouble, they gave us excellent advice and were very obliging. Moving forward, Sean, their Site Agent, sorted out all our snagging issues quickly and too our satisfaction. Even the lads on-site were cheerful and always asking how things we were. Would certainly recommend Morris Homes.

TrustpilotTarmac Problems
I moved into my Morris Homes property in summer 2019. Our tarmac driveway was surfaced about 2 months later. The tarmac was laid incorrectly by Morris' contractor and we have large hideous streaks of tar all over the surface, as well as holes. I complained to Morris Homes straightaway and they said it was "within tolerance".Around 6 months ago, Morris Homes attended to a problem at a neighbours property, in which they'd leaked oil and chemicals all over my driveway. I complained to Morris Homes and they sent someone out to clean it up. They used a pressure washer and as a result of improper use, they badly scarred the tarmac. I complained again and requested that Morris Homes resurface my driveway afresh given the streaks of tar, the holes and the now scarred appearance. They said no. They had my money when I moved in, before the tarmac was laid. Their attitude towards homeowners is disgraceful and I would not recommend them to anyone.

TrustpilotTarmac issues
Driveway gone wrong. Morris Homes’ contractors did a dreadful job laying our tarmac. There’s unsightly streaks of bitumen all over the surface, holes, and damaged kerb edging that was marked blue for replacement, but was never replaced. And to top it off, one of their vehicles parked without my consent on my drive, leaked oil and chemicals, and Morris Homes’ response was to blast it with a commercial high power pressure washer. Now it’s scarred and crumbling and Morris Homes are refusing to re-surface it. It looks a mess. Once they have your money, they’re not interested in helping you, or fixing right clear and obvious defects. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone! They’re more interested in what they can get away with to get the house built and sold in the quickest time possible. Just awful!

TrustpilotUTTERLY SHAMBOLIC
UTTERLY SHAMBOLIC! I’ve been waiting 18 months for a replacement front door as my current and original door is badly bowed, let’s in rainwater and wind and is badly painted. I often wake up to a puddle of rainwater in my hallway. 3 different people have attended my property over the past 18 months to replace the door, only for the new door to be the wrong size or the wrong style. In addition to that, Morris Homes did an abysmal job laying my tarmac and have since damaged it.I wouldn’t recommend Morris Homes to anyone. They’re more interested in what they can get away with, which is the bare minimum.

TrustpilotAli and Jane at the Beacons
Ali and Jane at the Beacons. What a lovely friendly pair. That fight your corner when you need them to. Couldn't fault them. Answered every question and query we had quickly. Put our minds at rest and made us feel very welcome. Move in day was a bit of a nightmare however this was NOT fault of Morris homes. Jane I will be forever grateful for your kindness shown. Again thank you. If anyone is thinking of buying a new build but worried about what you hear in the news or on TV about disasters. Buy a Morris home, their homes are beautiful snagging is done as fast as it can be even during Covid. So far the level of customer service we have received from the start has remained through the purchase. I really hope it continues. Would strongly recommend.

TrustpilotAVOID GO ELSEWHERE
AVOID GO ELSEWHERE. Morris homes are a complete joke. We moved into a new build in March 2020 on Waterside Village. The workmanship is not even to an OK standard. Walls are not even flat, glass in windows scratched and chipped, Brickwork uneven and some bricks cracked, ( we later found out the bricklayers who built mine and 2 neighbors' houses were fired due to poor workmanship). Door frames not packed solid and has expanded an inch due to a baby gate ( never had this problem in any other house I have lived in). Glue and chips to kitchen worktops, Paint on carpets, Silicone work poor, Fences, not even 6ft, Drain pipes cracked, Board marks showing through the plaster. Best of all Morris is unwilling to rectify these issues as they weren't on the 7-day snag list. Like come on do you think I really went around, made my walls uneven, scratched and chipped my windows, Smashed a few bricks on my property. Like, come on seriously!!!!! The site managers Tristan and Rob over promise and under deliver a lot, Don't listen to anything they say, They talk a lot of sh**e. Honestly people avoid them.

TrustpilotI’ve had a fantastic buying experience…
I’ve had a fantastic buying experience through Morris Homes! From reservation to completion, they kept me informed and up to date and were always on hand to answer any questions or concerns I may have had. They recommended a financial adviser and solicitor, both were great and I would definitely use them again. I legally completed and moved in in just 6 weeks thanks to the great team work of everyone involved!! Since moving in I have had a follow up call from a Director at Morris to ensure that everything is okay with my new home which I thought was excellent. There have only been a few minor snags, which is fully expected when buying a new build property and they have been dealt with quickly and efficiently. Overall I’m very happy with Morris Homes and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them or buy from them again!!

TrustpilotDeeply regret buying from Morris Homes
I’ve lived in a Morris Home for 10 years. And in addition to leaks through the ceiling and generally poor plumbing. The worst experience by far has been their complete neglect of the estate once you move in and they have your money. 10 years on the roads still haven’t been adopted by the local authority because they haven’t been completed by Morris Homes to an acceptable standard. Would never buy from Morris Homes again or live on an estate they manage.

Overall we are very happy with our lovely new home. What we didn't anticipate was the number of snags. We had previously bought a new build and did not experience snags to the scale of our Morris homes house. Having said that, when we have reported any snags Morris homes have sorted these in a timely manner except for our issues with our Bifold doors/conservatory which I believe is down to an external company's fitting faults. So while 8 months down the line things are still going wrong in our house, although this is very frustrating and sometimes feels like it's never going to end, the issues are getting fixed.

I wish I could give 0 stars! Absolute joke of a company. They lie to you, get your money and then you never hear from them again. The worst customer service. I live in a block of flats and we pay an expensive yearly service charge yet still things are going wrong and morris are no where to be found. And now we have RATS inside the building because they can’t fit kitchens properly apparently. And they lie to you to make a quick sale but you end up paying the price for it!

TrustpilotMorris Homes
Morris Homes have been wonderful to deal with. From the beginning the sales manager in the office was just wonderful, polite, helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. Moving in was made easy and the team on site are available for any help needed. We had a slight issue with our snagging list being done but that was due to lockdown and as soon as possible the site manager saw to it that the jobs were done. We are still finding a few issues that are now going through customer service, so far that too has been great! Love our Morris Home!

TrustpilotThis is my 2nd new build I have purchased with Morris Homes
This is my 2nd new build I have purchased with Morris Homes on the same development and the only reason why I moved again was to gain a 4th bedroom because I originally had a 3 bedroom. I have dealt with them twice now and I have to say that everyone who I have spoken to have been excellent. As with all new builds there are snagging issues and you’re moving onto a building site until complete, which I accepted, but have to say that any snagging raised has been dealt with and there was not much compared to some horror stories I have heard in regards to other builders. My family and I can’t fault the house, the management of the move and support post moving in and so would recommend them to anyone, so much so that I was more than happy to buy a second property with them.

The sales lady was extremely helpful in a difficult process(due to our house purchaser),but we got there in the end. However, we have been very disappointed with the finish of the house ,mainly the pointing which after 4 months has still not been rectified, dampness under the lounge bay window outside, the windows, scratched, marked and one doesn't even fasten properly. At the beginning things seemed to get sorted quite quickly, given the circumstances, but now we seemed to have been forgotten. This has disappointed us as we like the house style and the location of the house, but we do wonder if these quite major snags will ever get rectified.

TrustpilotNew Build
We bought a Morris home in a fantastic location in Cheshire for £300,000 and that’s the only good thing about the house the location. The sales advisors tell you what you want to hear and then when you pull up problems they get a bit moody putting it nicely. The snags in the new build are endless from simple things like doors not closing ,paint all over carpet to major problems like leaks and heating not working, not what you expect for over a quarter of a million house. The site manager will just tell people to come to your house to do some snags but won’t communicate with you that they are coming. I don’t think this is just a common thing with Morris homes as all new builds from developers have these problems as I’m aware. On the plus side the assistant site manager If you chase him he will get things sorted quickly and I’ve also found customer care have been ok for me. The neighbours are lovely and I feel we all get on as I think we all have a mature understanding for each other as we all have issues with the houses. I probably wouldn’t buy from Morris again but I wouldn’t buy a new build from any developer full stop as it’s not worth the hassle. I have scored average and that’s being kind as in my experience so far they do try and get the snags sorted but that does not excuse the fact that if you spend all that money on a house you expect perfection.
