GoogleAs a buyer I was very impressed by the helpfulness of Goadsby staff, for whom nothing was too much trouble. I had one main contact there (Phil) who made every effort to ensure that my purchase went through smoothly, and even between exchange and completion he was happy to let me in to my new flat in order to discuss work required with tradesmen.

GoogleThe service we received was very good and during a very difficult period towards the beginning of the Covid-19 and the impact it had on the house market. The company was responsive and kept us updated throughout even through changes in points of contact occurred during the period. I would have no qualms in recommending Goadsby.

An EXCELLENT service provided by all. We had previously marketed our property with another more glossy agent in town, but their failure to communicate effectively and identify a non-buyer despite us constantly pointing out the warning signs and not being taken seriously resulted in us taking our business to Goadsby. We were not disappointed, and Goadsby rewarded and vindicated our decision to move the business to them. I would like to thank all the Swanage Goadsby office staff for managing our house's sale so quickly and smoothly. The whole process from publishing to completion, took just over 7 weeks. They took on board our desire to only allow buyers who could proceed to view the house and avoid buyers who use a notoriously slow local law firm Despite us being 8000 miles away in the Philippines with an 8-hour time difference Noah and Ollie moved the whole process along at pace and kept us very well informed. Even at weekends, Josie in the lettings department stepped in to maintain the continuity. An excellent show of teamwork. Even on completion day, the whole team combined to kindly personally load a couple of large and heavy shipping crates into their cars and relocate them to the office store when it became obvious the shipping company couldn't collect them before completion. It is when a team go above and beyond the normal call of duty to ensure a sale goes smoothly that you know you have chosen the right company. Thanks again to everyone.

We’ve had a horrible experience selling our house through them. These last 6 months have apparently been boom sales time in Swanage Dorset but despite this Goadsby have managed to bungle potential sales, play one buyer off against another and push away the interest that had been there. Savills in Wimborne contacted me several times offering to sell our property and could not understand why it wasn’t sold. It’s not been sold because Goadsby have a one size fits all standardised approach, never keep the continuity of staff dealing with a particular matter. Use inexperienced staff who have no people skills, allowed their sales manager Gavin to insult and bully us. I cannot believe what an absolute disaster they have made of what should have been a simple sale. Plus they’d put up ‘under offer’ before any checks has been done. Then refused to listen to us and went their own way. And blamed us went it went wrong. Through them a perfectly good sale has been lost. Gutted. As another negative review said: “ they will let anybody into your house”. They allowed one potential buyer to take loads of photographs and have not done anything when we asked them to be deleted. GDPR laws and the 2018 Act mean nothing to them. Use an online agent: anything, but seriously avoid them.

GoogleVery helpful & friendly on 1st visit. Helped us get a tenant for our flat. A little dismissive when I asked a question on the phone, as if I should already know the answer. Also did not explain we would not receive any payment on the 1st month. Early days yet so hopeful we will receive good service.

I completed my property on 22nd Feb 2022 in Bridport Dorset. On 21st they phoned me to as they wanted keys. I said they had 2 keys handed when I asked them to sell my property. They claimed I had signed them out. I knew I had not. They said they had my signature signing them out. I went to the shop. It was not my signature nothing like . They then claimed I had authorised said signatures person to pick keys up for me. Which I had not! Worrying thing is they had released my keys with address in November. I am an elderly lady living alone! I hadn’t realised someone had access to my home! I said they should pay to replace locks at their expense ! They totally refused.

Wasted My time in the name of referencing. If some one is living in UK on a permanent job role and also home office gives a right to rent. Still most of the letting agents doesn’t gets satisfied. If a person have good credit history then what’s the problem. Or it’s only because I am an Asian and cannot get a property to rent.

GoogleGoadsby was very quick and professional at finding me a buyer. However, there was hardly any further support. Virtually very contact made was at my instigation. The transaction took from July to October for a chain-less sales at both ends and should have been very straightforward. The other side's solicitor was very incompetent, but Goadsby never chased things up of their own volition or, if they did, they never told me about it. I paid a huge amount for the finding of a buyer.NegativeResponsiveness, Value

GoogleViewed a prorety which we liked only to be told afterwards that the seller only wanted to sell to a cash buyer that was not in a chain.That not only wasted our time but ment we delayed our sale due to the lack of service. We had to phone 3 or 4 times on several occasions to get a response from them and when we told them we would need a firm decision by Monday, they rang us on Tuesday, to late. If they didn't want to sell it to us they should have told us from the start.NegativeResponsiveness

We are stuck in a six link chain; four of which are with goadsbys. They lie, they won’t talk to you, they don’t have a clue how to progress things and are having to take direction from the other agent in the chain, they are rude and so unhelpful. Five months we’ve been waiting; delay after delay, lie after lie. It’s like walking uphill through quick sand.

Goadsby is the worst in terms of the way they treat people. The whole trauma they subject me to is beyond words, and I won't go the details of it. Let's just say that it lasted a whole 8 months of endless communication with them getting them to allow me to terminate my contract, return my deposit etc etc. And in all these communications, they were distasteful, disrespectful, offensive, unprofessional. So much that they even accidentally copied me on email replies amongst other colleagues where they were being spiteful, even condescending about me. Avoid them!

We have recently moved into a rental property managed by Goadsbys in Bournemouth. Alex, the agent, was extremely professional and could not have been more helpful through the process. Since moving in, he has also been there to help with any teething problems we've had. I can highly recommend them and all the ancillary people who were involved, such as the cleaning company and maintenance team. Many thanks to all of them. Mrs D
