Terrible experience

Non-existent communication. Viewings done by an unprepared team: didn't know level of service charge, exposure, if the appliances were new or not, size of the flat or rooms. One claimed we had replaced the kitchen (we hadn't), another that the Hue Lights we installed were staying in the flat for the buyer (we never said that).

Three words - don’t do it

We listed our house with foxtons and the service has been abysmal. There’s been next to no effort or movement with trying to sell the house, no communications with any options etc. You get an account online which shows upcoming viewings - almost all viewings ‘booked’ haven’t actually happened and they don’t contact us to confirm it either. You expect a lot from an estate agent with their level of commission - dont bother.

well, my experience was the following. I had to move house urgently. I went to Foxtons and they received me with such kindness, respect and a lot of charisma from everyone. They really have a very well prepared team of people. Liam Horbaczewski was the person who did all my broadcasts. Professional with a very good attitude, punctual and always a smile. It is the best treatment I have received. I have found what I was looking for, the same area that I need. It only remains to say that I am happy. With the recent move from New Zealand my Husband and I already had a lot on our plate. Liam Horbaczewski at Foxton Pimlico made the process to find our new rental accomodation an absolute dream. He provided us with numerous different options within our budget and provided a thorough overview of the accomodation's offerings, area, close by transportation, etc. Despite an absolute roller coaster to secure a place given how fast the property market was moving, he continued to ensure that we would be able to find a place as soon as possible. His bubbly and always positive personality and perseverance to find us the perfect place in time with our new jobs starting took so much stress off our shoulders. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with Foxtons. My agent Ana was super attentive at first but after I signed the contract I had no contact from her or Gareth regarding my contract. I emailed them 5 times over the span of two months making sure what we agreed per my contract was going to take place and did not receive a message back until the 5th email. I was then told a week before my move in day that I couldn’t move in on the day I agreed with Gareth and Ana. They made an empty promise that I would be able to move on a specific date as I would be out of the county after that. It cost me thousands of dollars as I had to extend my lease for another month. It created much stress for me as I was trying for two months to make sure they were on top of my lease and contract. I am lucky to have a good landlord as I will never be going through Foxtons again. Once you sign the contract they stop caring about you and your concerns.

I was looking for a new place to rent and had a fantastic experience thanks to Liam Horbaczewski. He was welcoming, personable, and professional from the very beginning. A lot can go into looking for a new place and Liam goes above and beyond to help which makes a big difference. He takes the time to understand what you need and are looking for and is very transparent and helpful. Any question I had, he was able to answer and he was very responsive. I really appreciated his patience and clear joy and passion for his work to meet new people and help them to find a new home. Once the right place was found all the documentation and next steps were clear and quickly completed. Terrible experience with Foxtons! Very disappointed with the Pimlico team. I viewed a studio in November 2022, and it would be available until Feb 2023. But I was urged to sign the contract in two days as my agent Ana was very pushy with this. I waited for nearly three months, and I got the keys on the agreed date. However the inventory status was extremely TERRIBLE. The boiler has severe leakage. Please look at the pictures :) and they don’t even agree with postponing the starting date of the contract! I requested the contract termination and the refund due to the safety concerns. But the story not ends. The property manager Rachel registered my PRIVATE personal details with the Thames Water even without my permission. And they refused to explain or sort it out. The ridiculous thing is I received the billing letter from Thames Water today at where I am living now. They asked me to pay for MY property at Pimlico??? Can someone else in the team stand up and look into this please???

The agent Carlos is literally a fraud. Lied to me about almost half of the stuff before moving in. When I contacted him afterwards he stopped replying to me. Definitely remove him from the job. Some policies of the agency are not tenant friendly at all by which the landlord takes advantage but some manager over here Emma she is a very sweet and helpful. The only one star goes to her. Other then her help everything is zero.

I feel that the experience was negative

I put my flat up for sale with my Foxtons, I was going to go with another agent but they were very pushy and said how they managed to sell better than anyone so I went with them. I was under the impression my flat would go straight up but after I signed the contract it took them 2 weeks to take photos and put them up, in the meantime they put up a video of the flat from a mid-term inspection where it looked absolutely disgusting. I had never seen this video and I don't see why it would be allowed to be put up without my permission, I asked for it to be removed, they didn't and it took them nearly the 2 weeks to remove it. The photos they took were adequate but not particularly great, I was pretty disappointed. I felt that the price was extremely over inflated (like all their prices) but respected they knew better than me, but when every single person gave feedback that it was way overpriced and no one showed any interest I became quite embarrassed. I found it very hard to contact my sales agent and just gave up most times after leaving numerous messages. I heard from my agent 10 times more before I signed with them than I did during my contract. When I gave notice 28 days before the end after having no interest, I was reminded how they are the number one and warned that going to another agent would not solve the issue. Their commission is so much more than everyone else but I feel my experience with their sales agent was extremely poor and I can't believe I had no interest in my nice flat. I feel I made a mistake going with them and would caution anyone thinking of them. Also I rented my flat with them for nearly 2 decades and my last tenant emailed them notice which they said they did not receive until the next day so they extended the end date to one day beyond the end of the month, they then charged me a management fee of £9 for the one day (and she paid £1 something rent for that one day). I will never rent with them again due to the complete lack of transparency with regards to money. (As for the excuse that the housing market is quiet I put my other property up for sale at the same time and it sold within 2 weeks, but then again the photos were really good and the price was reasonable).
