Heather was brilliant, very helpful, understood what we needed and helped us confirm a property that has been perfect for us. All communication was very clear and the tenancy set up was very smooth. Only missing a star as on the move in day the inventory company claimed we weren't at the property at the agreed time (we were) and then we couldn't track down what they had done with the keys for a bit!

It’s my friend’s and my first time renting a flat in the UK, and our experience with Chestertons has been great. Renting process was smooth, all the staff we have encountered have been nice and helpful, especially our property manager Shakil Khan was prompt in providing us assistance when we moved in, really appreciate it.

I was able to find and move into my new flat easily thanks to Louis Vasili and doing the process from a different city. He was able to show me a flat just as it was coming to market and provide videos/visit the property at short notice to make the whole process easy - to benefit of both myself and the landlord. Was always very knowledgeable and very fast/helpful with any queries!

Ryan Briggs took over managing my apartment about 6 months ago and it was safe to say that prior to it, it took awhile for responses to my queries. While he seems rather swamped (judging by the out of office messages I get when I send messages), he makes it a point to reply, albeit, a couple of days later. He acts professionally and is quick to understand my concerns and follow up on them. I sense that he is very service oriented and with more time, he will do an even better job. Glad to have him as my property manager.

Property agents generally get a bad rep and my experience with Chestertons rammed home why. I put in an offer on a property marketed through them. I made clear at the time that I was walking away from another property I was also considering. My offer was accepted by the seller on whose behalf Chestertons was acting, at which point I had assurances the property had been taken off the market. A few days later I get a call from Chestertons to inform me I had been gazumped. Not only had I now lost this property, I had lost the other one I had been considering. Utterly despicable behaviour. On top of that the agent I had been dealing with through the process was suddenly “ill”, meaning a new agent had to step in and do their dirty work of breaking the news. Avoid. All morals out the window with these ones.

Betsy Slawson helped me with lease out my flat and I had such a good experience as a landlord. She hit the ground running with sourcing tenants and arranging viewings. She was super responsive and ensured she kept me posted on progress. She also gave me frank and helpful recommendations as to where to set the rent, the attractiveness of the offers, quality of tenants etc. I have always been very skeptical of real estate agents and had multiple bad experiences, but having Betsy help me through the process was really a great blessing and would definitely try to work with her again if I get the chance.

Very smooth and pleasant experience. The communication with Stav was great and he was very helpful. The only bad experience is that Chestertons operates with TenantShop. They will call you a thousand times even though you decline the service and in our case they processed an electricity company change without our consent. It would be great not having to deal with the TenantShop and only with Chestertons. Highly recommend Chestertons as an agency.

We had seen a house twice, place was fine and we liked it. We made an offer to owner but the agent was quite weird and didn't want to pass it to them. My spouse was arguing with her ( agent) , as she didn't want to provide a form to us. I find it's funny as they ( agency ) work in their own way. They can easily refuse or to say it's already accepted an offer and you can see in a week it's available again. Do they really think tenants are idiots out there? With particular one I would say the girl apparently thought she was renting her own one. The place BTW is still available.

Very good service from the team, especially Suzan and Thomas. Tenants were found quickly, helped with the paper work and organised EICR in time before tenants moved in. Getting new keys cut and arranged handyman when we had a couple of stressful days before tenancy began.

GoogleGreat experience until I got possession of the house, everyone is nice and rushing to make their commissions to close deals. But the house was not in working order and not in a suitable living condition. No action taken despite several follow ups and the agent Ciprian was rude, unprofessional and hung up the phone when I was trying to contact to have things resolved. I am still waiting for the issues to be resolved, been two weeks since I have the flat and it is uninhabitable.
