I have said before how great paul is with showing us around the property. I have been doing quite a viewings with different agents and has had all really good experiences with Paul from Gatekeeper, in fact overall Gatekeeper has been amazing with keeping me in the loop all the way.

I am absolutely disgusted with the service we have had with Gatekeeper while renting with them for 9 months. It has been awful. Not only were we left without heating or hot water for over 5 days between November and December, I was then gaslighted over the phone by a member of their team, telling me I was threatening to withhold rent for our final 18 days at the property, when I had asked 3 times to be sent the figure of how much we owed for those last 18 days and they had failed to send me the figure - I wasn't withholding rent I just hadn't been told how much to pay. That member of staff was consistently rude over the phone, would mumble under their breath at the end of phone calls, was patronising to me and my partner and we feel it was because we are a young couple and first time renters (I have rented on my own before and never received such bad service). For example we both passed the credit checks but were told we still had to have a guarantor, which I feel was due to our age. On one occasion I caught footage of an employee affiliated with them unlocking our door and walking into our house without even knocking to see if we were home first. I had been home just a few minutes before showering. They have completely ruined our first time renting together. We had moved out before our tenancy ended due to having no hot water and heating, so went back to clean the property before we left our keys (we had cleaned once when we moved our belongings out so it would be clean for their viewings). Upon entering the house it smelt like urine, and I found they had used the toilet and not flushed it, making the house smell like stale urine whilst we were still paying for it. The lack of care they had for us is appalling. I would never rent from Gatekeepers again. If I could give them 0 stars I would. They are an unprofessional, overall bad company. Avoid at all costs.

I thought the process of renting would be a painful experience but from Kenya showing me round to David processing my application everything was handled professionally, keeping me informed at each stage and confirming to me that each stage had been completed or explaining to me what I needed to do. Would have no hesitation in recommending Gatekeepers services.

Cowboys who always side with the landlords; will inconveniently schedule checks to take pictures of the flat and be guaranteed to be pelted with a hefty bill at the end of the tenancy regardless of the state of the flat. The main reason for their 4.6 rating is because they hassle people should you leave a real review. Avoid if you’re a tenant, great for landlords - Tenant of 2 years
