GoogleThe man who showed me a property to rent a long with another lady appeared more interested in flirting with her then actually showing us the property. The term third wheel came to mind. I called the office Monday morning as I was interested in renting the property, they said I should have been given an application form, then they said they would email me one. They failed to do that I called back the next morning they said they had received an application so sorry. Very unprofessional. Maybe if I stuffed some socks down my top and put a low cut top on I would have had a different outcome.

GoogleI have now been waiting over 3 weeks for the return of my deposit so have had to raise a dispute with TDS. In the begining everything went well they were a little slow in dealing with things but overall not bad, if a little expensive. Their tenancy agreements are geared towards protecting the landlord, but that wasnt an issue as I've never been a problem tenant, however please watch out for the hidden costs that arent explained when you sign up. Ending a tenancy is a different story, emails are continuously ignored along with phonecalls, staff speak to you like your beneath them and trying to get your deposit back is a nightmare. I am a working professional, that always paid rent on time and had no issues during the tenancy then I handed in my notice and the problems began. I meticulously cleaned every inch of the apartment, yet when it came to checkout (btw which costs £60) I was told to redo skirting boards, the window frames, lightswitches, doors replace shower curtain etc etc. All works were carried out then the landlord comes along and says not good enough so here I am 3 weeks later still fighting to get nearly £1000 of my money back. Melvyn Danes provide absolutley no support to their tenants with their unscrupulous landlords once they have their money, so if your looking to rent a property avoid at all costs.

GoogleVery disappointing , didnt turn up for 2 viewings without letting me know either times. After I had to get in contact with them they wasn't very apologetic, but arranged a 3rd viewing. Phoned me the morning of the viewing to say that couldn't make it and they would be in contact to rearrange and that was 4 days ago. Not very professional

They kept me informed of progress along the way and were proactive with dealing with the sale. I felt they took the stress out of the whole process. Very professional, honest and knowledgeable. Google** AVOID AT ALL COSTS ** This agent's is unbelievably incompetent , in fact after buying & selling house's for the last twenty year's we have never in that time came across an estate agent as unprofessional as this Shirley branch ..
