Surprised at the amount of 5 star reviews, wont be surprised if they paid for them. Anyway I was with Belvoir last year and they are honestly the worst for students. My experience with Belvoir was stressful from start to end. An example of many was the fact that they advised me that my mum had failed the credit check (she didn’t) so made me pay admin fees twice, equating to £400. I got the £200 back but this was very stressful. One of many examples of the level of stress that was created. Their staff are very rude (Julie), clueless and of no help. All the students I know that have been with Belvoir have never had anything good to say. You literally have to beg them to help. The only staff member who has sense and is helpful is Superna from finance. I’d reccomend avoiding at all costs. And tbh stay on campus or try private landlords cause these estate agents are all terrible including moving places and strats (Belvoir is the worst).

Dealing with Belvoir staff in Hatfield cause nothing but stress and make you feel like a burden and passed around because no one wants to help you! You are made to feel like they are unbothered and will tell you anything to get you out of their ear! After a year with Belvoir I wouldn’t recommended to anyone, especially students! Taking the house with promises that things will get fixed was a tremendous lie and after numerous calls to arrange, everything stayed broken!

I recently bought a property from Belvoir. Overall I was very happy with the transaction - the house really is delightful and the staff worked hard to help the deal go through. A couple of things could have been better. Certain communications were couched in property-sector language whose meaning was not apparent to me, e.g. "completion at notice". A fuller, early explanation would have been helpful, as my solicitor pointed out! Second, I received numerous requests to communicate with my solicitor on Belvoir's behalf, even though Belvoir had the relevant contact details. It made for a lot of extra noise - not ideal. Still, it shows that Belvoir was determined to do its best for the vendor, and I can't blame it for that. And in the end everything went through smoothly, which is a major achievement.

We purchased our house through Chris Ord at belvoir and he was professional and courteous at all times. When negotiating with the owners he was always prompt in getting back to us and didn't leave us hanging! Nothing was too much trouble - even our multiple visits with contractors after our offer had been accepted! We really appreciated his help and also the service from others in the office that covered for him when we was away on annual leave! :-)
