Total crap the valuation it was all sunshine…

At the valuation it was all sunshine and smiles with ,Buyers marching to my door I WAS TOLD , As soon as the sign went up SILENCE. A month later Not one viewing No communication , Sibi emailed and said if this doesn't pick up I'll apply to revoke the contract, Just 15 minutes later A notification appeared ,"You have a viewing" Bullshit, They just got an ex colleague of friend to visit on a day I had not chosen for viewings and the escorted viewing option was a sham because the agent turned up 20 minutes late After id shown the person around .This shambles was to make the threat go away , They then called me and advised me to lower the price Into the next lower bracket and it would creat huge interest . Bullshit Nothing For another month , A phone call from them put if the blue Arrived And the cheeky bastards wanted me to lower the price again . So I stayed there and then I want out of this contract for complete failure on your side ,without any penalties for earl closure ,And if you don't agree I'll take this to the ombudsman. 10 mins later, That's ok the contract is void no penalties . So now all I need is for them to come and get there bloody sign of my garden , I'm not advertising their shit company for free. Avoid fox's like the bloody plague. Total wankers

Awful service, unprofessional behaviour and lies

Crawley office. Communication 0 Professionalism 0 Honesty 0 It all started when Jack Allsobrook came to value our property. He was full of it. Told us that he had a few interested people for our property and could expect viewing right away. No viewings in the first month. Little wonder, when they do not answer the phone. Then came the recommendation to lower the asking price. So we took £15k off the price. We got one viewing in the second month. I called the office and eventually got through on 8 July because I’d not received a marketing update in over a week. I was told two calls were made 29 June and 02 July. No missed calls on my phone from them. I was repeatedly told the calls were made, we have a log and I repeatedly replied, I was not called I have no missed calls from Fox & Sons. After several back and forward with this, I asked for the branch manager Kane Caulfield to call me to discuss . He called and basically reiterated what his colleague had told me and proceed to argue he was right and I was wrong. Very unprofessional. Very rude and disrespectful. Clearly the training didn’t focus on not arguing with the clients! The upshot of the alleged missed calls was to tell me I’d a viewing. Now why they couldn’t text me as they have done in the past, or call the other person I am selling the house with, beggars understanding. My conclusion is that it was a lie. I’ve now come off the market with Fox & Sons, and I wish I’d read the Trustpilot reviews before I agreed a contract. Utter cowboy outfit and a shining example of the reputation given to estate agents. Now here’s the killer, 13 July, I called in person to the Crawley office to collect my key. I gave my name and after a wait of about 3 minutes the person present my key, handed it to me. I asked, do you not need to see my ID to prove I am the owner? I was told you need to sign a sheet and he went off to get it. Didn’t have it with him. And he never looked at my photograph ID!! I could have been anyone. Zero regard for security. Absolute amateurs and a burglars delight. I cannot stress this enough AVOID FOX & SONS AT ALL COSTS.

From the first time David came to my home to do an appraisal, I knew that Fox and Sons would be my only choice of Estate Agents to sell my house. They took the pressure off what might have been an anxious time. Shannon was excellent in keeping me informed of progress and dealing with my odd little queries. David was very knowledgeable, patient, respectful and good at putting you at ease. The viewing days were made easier with Kieron showing people around. We have just sold our property with Fox & Sons and the whole process has been completely seamless. We unfortunately used another local estate agent to first list our house and having such a bad experience with them we were a little cautious listing our house again but when Dylan knocked on my door after selling another property on our estate we knew this time it was going to be different. David came out the next night and saw us his honesty was refreshing and within a week of listing our house we had sold it. All the people that came to look at it were serious buyers and after the first estate agents bringing a few people through the doors that were not this was a refreshing change. Claire and Natalie in the office have been amazing the communication is on another level they have guided us through the process and managed to get us moved within 11 weeks. They have both worked so hard to keep the communication flowing with all parties involved. If you were thinking of listing your property with Fox and Sons or buying through them you won’t be disappointed.

Awful mortgage advising service

Booked an appointment with one of their mortgage advisers, a lot of info i did not need to know that the company has x branches and have done x money on mortgages, just to be cancel on the second appointment. Got back to me after 4months saying he would help me that time, after a couple exchanges no more correspondence ive no idea whats going on. Meanwhile was contacted by another mortgage adviser she said to give her a change she’s different from her colleague. First appointment same things, second appointment a no show. Whats wrong with you people? Unbelievable. At least have the decency to cancel the appointment, i got out of work for the appointment waited 1h, even emailed and nothing.

Due to my employment, I have met with many estate agents and I rarely give feed back. I only do, when I believe, I have received excellent service. This is the first time I have used Fox&Son. The only reason being. They don't have the type of properties I require. But in my search and out of curiosity. I saw their board and popped into the Hailsham branch. I was welcomed warmly and professionally. On meeting the staff, at my viewing with Dillion and David. They were smart and again very professional. They could answer all my questions. This including showing me defects. This shows open honestly. They had taken the time to listen to what I'm looking forward and even found a second property of interest. I found them refreshing. I highly recommend this company and ask.

Absolutely disgusted at the way this company treated my son and his fiance. They had put a holding deposit on a flat and through no fault of theirs the landlady withdrew the flat and Fox and Sons refused to give them back their holding deposit. They could not afford to lose that money. This is warning to anyone who is thinking of using Fox and Sons

Fantastic viewing with Jack from the Crawley branch

Had a viewing with Jack from the Crawley branch yesterday. He was absolutely fantastic! Jack greeted us with a warm and welcoming manner, gave us a little local knowledge before heading in to the property. He made myself and my partner feel completely at ease and built a great repour with us straight away adding his humour and great personality to the viewing. He was super informative about the property and could answer all of our questions, we didn't feel pressured at any point which of course made the experience much more enjoyable and exciting for us. Jack made us feel super comfortable and didn’t rush us with our viewing and was professional throughout. Thoroughly enjoyable experience looking for our first home. Viewing booked and confirmed by George, but no one turned up. I had to call repeatedly to get an answer, only to be told a manager had “tried to contact me to cancel”, which is untrue as I had no missed calls or messages. I was promised a call to rearrange the viewing for the following week and never heard anything. Called again and was assured someone would call me shortly. Two weeks later, nothing. I’ve since submitted a formal complaint and haven’t even received an acknowledgement. Wasted my time attending a viewing that was never going ahead, followed by more time chasing. Poor organisation and even worse communication.

The brighton branch

The brighton branch, has taken 2 years to get my dad's flat sold after he died. Recommended to sale the flat at auction by Ray Murphy, that fell through after months of trying to get it sold,then went down the normal route. This all starts out fine ,in 2022,then had two more offer ,these were not satisfactory, finally had an offer in August 2024 which has taken 5 months of us chasing to get over the line.
