We have just sold our first home and bought our second home through Fox & Sons, Hailsham. We put our house on the market in February and had viewings nearly every week before securing a sale at the asking price in May. Our buyers originally had their eye on another property, but thanks to David’s advice, they came to view ours, and the rest is history! Being in a chain of four, all with Fox & Sons, could have been stressful, but the team kept us regularly updated on progress and what was needed at each stage. Claire was brilliant at keeping things moving, especially when it felt like our solicitors were slowing the process down. We eventually agreed a completion date of 12th September, but with various delays and queries, exchange was repeatedly pushed back. Through it all, Claire and Natalie were fantastic, always on the phone or email, chasing things up and pushing to get everything over the line. Without their persistence, we might still be waiting! A huge thank you to everyone at Fox & Sons for helping us finally move into our new home. Special thanks to Claire, David, Natalie and Dylan for their hard work and support throughout. Thank you to Fox & Sons in hailsham for assisting in the sale of our home. There where some twist and turns along the way in this market, but having the Hailsham branch over seeing everything and managing those bumps made it possible in the end to get to completion. Claire runs a very good branch. Our main individual we worked closely with was Shannon, lovely lady who had to work hard with our sale because right near the end there was a lot of twist and turns, no fault of foxs and sons or us, but I guess that's the market right now. We would like to say a massive thank you to you all especially Shannon. I was buying a property which Fox & Sons were dealing with on behalf of the owner. Claire was absolutely brilliant during the exchange, even though l was not her client, she worked her socks off to ensure that the exchange went through smoothly, l truly believe the exchange would have failed without her help, as the solicitors in the chain needed constant emails from her to make sure they did their part quickly. She always replied to my emails, and was kind and considerate. Thank you Claire. I can't wait to move in!!

Fox and sons were great and very accommodating. It was my first experience of buying a house and Harrison was amazing. We had a few complications (not our fault) towards the end and Harrison kept us updated every step Of the way which was reassuring and kept our confidence in the estate agent. We were able to visit our house as many times as we wanted and was accommodated by the shop with others if Harrison wasn’t around. Very good service overall and a loss to the Hailsham team to lose Harrison to Bexhill. I would use Fox and sons again for buying another house in the future! Thank you once again :)

Fox and Sons Hailsham have been super accommodating and helpful. We went to a first viewing on a property and met Jack, who was really friendly and answered all of our questions and even tolerated our little one running around! We called up the following day and booked a second viewing for the same property and on the day called up to say we were going to be late and they accommodated and understood wonderfully. Jack met us at the property at the new time despite having an extremely full day of viewings. We wanted to put an offer in however was informed no one was available to take the offer as there was no one in the office to do so currently. Later that same day, we got a call from Simon, from another branch nearby, who took the offer after Jack informing him of the situation of wanting to put an offer forward. Later that same day, we got our offer accepted (subject to one condition). Jack communicated throughout the week with us and asked how we felt about the property and answered further questions on the phone. Thank you Jack for being so helpful this week!

I viewed a number of properties for sale, some of which were listed with Fox & Sons. Their sales team were always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. In particular, Harrison was great (even though it was his first viewing, I think) and some weeks later, gave us a second viewing of the house we eventually bought. And Shannon handled the sale which was a little unusual as the owner lives abroad and the property had tenants, but she kept us fully informed and was always available to handle any of our queries. I would be happy to recommend them as a property-buyer (I have no experience of them as a seller.)

Harassing me with phone calls when iv asked them to stop more than once

I asked fox and sons to come a do a valuation of my late father’s property. I have then been phoned 20times since asking if they can put the property on the market for me. I asked them politely to not phone me any more as it’s on the market with a different estate agent and to take my details of the system. They said they would I have since then received 5 other phone calls from them and each time been told they will take my of the the system. I have had three calls since and each time I have asked not to be phoned and they keep phoning me. It’s getting to the point of harassment now. I would stay clear. They clearly don’t listen to peoples wishes and feel it’s ok to continue to phone someone when they have been asked not to. If only they put the same amount of effort into selling a property ( they had my old house on the market two years and had about three people for viewings.

I have used Fox and Sons over the last 8 years and they have been excellent every time. I really feel they have my best interests at heart with their support and advice. I recently had a property advertised and it sold at full market value and completed in about 6 weeks. I was kept informed at every stage of events. It felt too good to be true! I was so lucky. I would especially like to thank David and Shannon, and also Memish the photographer, who spent ages getting the right shots. In addition I would recommend joining Fox and Sons' financial support team Sequence. I joined them in 2016 and the benefits have been amazing. My mortgages have beaten what is publicly available, conveyancing prices are really good and I have had personal financial advice as well from Imran and David in getting everything right to help me with my plans for the future for myself and my family. We flew down from Scotland to view several properties. We were lucky to have Harrison showing us around. It never occurred to us that he was new, as he came across knowledgeable and professional. On a second viewing on one of the properties, he had to contend with our 4yr old granddaughter running around. He never lost his composure and continued with the viewing. I have no doubt he has chosen the right occupation. He even looked the part in his smart suit and tie. Maybe we are old fashioned but to us the way staff present them selves says a lot about the company they work for. Thank you Harrison, although on this occasion the property didn't tick all our boxes we will come to you should anything else come on the market in your area.

Terrible service, avoid!

Terrible service, would not recommend. Would give zero stars if I could! There was no feedback following viewings, zero communication or market updates, and I had to point out listing errors multiple times (including the lease length being incorrectly shown as zero years!). I only received a brief, non-committal apology. I’ve now withdrawn the property. I wish I’d gone with an independent originally, someone who actually cares.

Continuously hassled even after asking multiple times not to be

The estate agent that came to value my property needed more customer experience. He asked very intrusive questions, was rude about other estate agents valuations, was very pushy and I felt I had to be firm when I said I am only wanting a second opinion, not for them to market my property. I asked not to be contacted by them and I would be in touch if I needed their services. In the weeks following, the decision was made for me not to use them as I was contacted via telephone at least twice a week, pushing me to put it on the market with them when all I’d asked for is a valuation. When I asked multiple times to be taken off their contact list, the message clearly didn’t get through as I was contacted a further three times after this. No voicemails were left - just missed calls from an unknown number.

⁷I would give 0 if I could. Terrible experience with fox&sons London Road Brighton. We had our house advertised with them for bearly 6 months. We had 3 viewings & 10 cancellations, however, when you looked, they claimed we had 13 viewing. Our biggest mistake was to go with them. Totally unprofessional photos. We changed the agent and within a week we had 4 viewing & one offer!! Additionally, when we left this agent, they carried on advertising our house without our permission with a new price!! Dispute both written & verbal communications! Totally unprofessional. We should have read the reviews and avoided them at all cost!! So far we have had 2 offers and might have the final offer soon.
