Outstanding in all aspects of selling a house!

Sophia Fuller, Farren Mitchell and team in the Suffolk branch were absolutely fantastic! We had used several estate agents before who were not comparable to this standard of professionalism at all. Their professionalism, helpfulness, and responsiveness was outstanding and they were above and beyond with communication and keeping us in the loop. Highly highly recommend. Edward Thomson of Strutt and Parker is the real deal in a tank full of sharks in the London real estate market. His advice when I bought a short-lease apartment in Cadogan Place was invaluable. I have since gone on to refurbish the property and extended the lease to create some real value. I’d trust Ed, whether on the buy or sell side. He’s in it for the long-term, and repeat business is his goal. A relationship, not just a quick fling!

I can’t begin to thank Jen Paula and Antonia at Haslemere S&P enough. Through the initial process of valuation to the conclusion of sale they all went above and beyond to make the process as painless as possible. Selling a home is a stressful business but thanks to the above it was coordinated in the most professional way and I am hugely grateful especially as my onward purchase was not the easiest negotiation added to which time was very much of the essence. I recently bought a house that was being marketed by the Haslemere branch of Strutt & Parker. Jason handled the viewings and the sale was progressed by Paula. As with every house purchase the road was rocky at times, and Paula was always on hand to help - whether it was keeping the conveyancing moving or trying to find a mutually acceptable solution. She kept clear lines of communication open with the estate agent handling the sale of my old house, my solicitors and the solicitors acting for the vendors of my purchase.

Cambridge rentals fiasco

This relates to the rentals service in Cambridge. We rented a house from Strutt & Parker for more than three years. They were never quick to deal with repairs and other issues, however we had a direct relationship with the owner which made life easier. When we moved out at the end of June 2024, we got the full benefit of Strutt & Parker's contempt for tenants, stunning slowness and incompetence. It took them nearly four months -- until 28 October 2024 -- to return the deposit. There was a litany of lame excuses about the time needed for estimates for some minor repairs. The reality was that it just wasn't a priority, they didn't care and they couldn't even work out which photographs attached to the contract corresponded to which actual rooms. If you rent property in Cambridge, beware this lot. Or at least be ready to suffer.

Exactly what I want from my Estate Agent. Paula really looks after the seller’s interests - as she should. Not all Agents seem to remember that. Paula and her colleagues - who obviously work well together) were quick in communicating after potential buyers had viewed our house. She was frank and honest about what the viewers thought. In particular when we got close to a tricky exchange of contracts (with an extremely unhelpful and apparently stupid buyer at the bottom of our chain) she did a fantastic job of keeping me updated and communicating with the various elements in the chain and putting just the right amount of pressure on where it was needed. Paula is a true professional and was an absolute pleasure and relief to work with at a difficult time.
