I spoke with Richard today to organise a viewing for a property weve been looking at, after fruitlessly trying to view several different places with different estate agent companies who couldnt book us in before the properties were let - thanks to Richard we got an appointment the same day! THE BEST ESTATE AGENT EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD and I don’t actually believe we would have exchanged on our dream home without them. I just want to share our journey to help everyone understand.. Our flat was on the market for over 18 month until Gascoigne Peas took over and we managed to get it sold in a couple of months. Firstly, our photos and all the description on our advert just massively out done any of our previous estate agents. Clearly put a lot more effort and care into our sale and didn’t just throw high valuations at us to get us to agree to use them. As everyone knows, buying and selling houses is one of the most stressful things ever, and was amazed at Gascoigne Peas commitment to helping us find our dream home didn’t just end with selling our flat for us. They were so invested in helping us and even when I was stressed and feeling the pressure of the chain falling about (I’m a bit of an overthinker) they were chasing up our solicitors for us, calling myself and my wife back and emailing us more promptly than anyone else involved. They didn’t really have to do all this and I honestly think we have Gascoigne Peas for getting our exchange over the line. Anyone else that is looking to sell and move house take my advice and dont go anywhere else. We learned a lot in our very long and stressful journey to our dream home. Go to this company before anyone else. Thank you again to Alex, Nigel and the team in Farnham. Can’t really thank you enough to be honest.

Warning - avoid this company at all costs!!

Tom is extremely unprofessional and dishonest. We accepted an offer back in May from a buyer on the basis that the buyer was a cash purchaser. We were then told in July that this was not the case and he was applying for a mortgage. Only when we were ready to exchange and complete in August the buyers solicitors informed us that the buyer had a related transfer of equity, unbelievable. We were told it could take up to 6 months to sort out. We were very disappointed about being kept in the dark about this so late in the transaction. Had we been privy to this we would not have accepted the offer in the first place.

I had found a property already and it was through Gascoigne Pees. I sent them a text indicating I was interested in the place and sent it to them that day. Half an hour later Richard rang and we arranged to meet the next day. What a great chap he is, and the rest of the arrangements where through Gemma, a bonus! They where always professional and I don't think I could ask for a better team to help me through this, what I thought, was a daunting few weeks. Gemma and Richard made moving a real pleasure and I am more than extremely happy with how they handled things. I'd certainly recommend Gascoigne-Pees, professional, courteous and reliable. Not happy with them at all. I was basically asked 3 times if they’ll give me a better mortgage deal will I take it or not, when I have told them I have already a deal that I am happy with. In addition, when viewing the house for sale the person did not even try to advertise the house or speak about it at all.

Scammed by branch in Basingstoke, avoid them

These agents in Basingstoke pressured me into making a holding deposit after seeing a property that I was interested in. I provided all the details for reference checks. They later came back telling me that my employers declined giving a reference until my probation is ended which is no fault of mine. I have contacted my employers personally on more than one occasion to get this sorted out, but was not successful. This agency contacted me requesting for a guarantor and as a foreigner, I could not provide the needed guarantor (UK home owner with £44k annual salary). The next few hours, the property was back on the market without saying anything to me about my holding deposit. When I contacted them, they told me I have provided false and misleading information (failed reference checks) which was very shocking to me. Avoid them at all cost.

Six-star service from Farnham office lettings

I cannot thank Emily (head of lettings, Farnham office) enough for finding me new tenants after poor experience with previous agent (a completely different company.) She achieved a 35% increase in gross rent for me, too! I noted more proactivity in 3 weeks from GPees than in 3 years from their predecessors. I was kept fully informed before and after every viewing, and despite most viewings taking place in appalling wet weather there was never a sign of recent footfall across the brand new carpet. If I could give them six stars, I would!
