We are first time landlords and have used Central to rent and manage our property. The whole team, especially Manaan and Martyne have been wonderful. Manaan was able to rent (and re-rent) our property very quickly ensuring no gaps in tenancies. Martyne is very knowledgeable and responsive and has made our first experience of being a landlord hassle free. We would highly recommend the whole Central team we have worked with.

The whole team were really amazing at central. I dealt with Rich mostly who often took phone calls from me when I needed advice on the property. And all the teamwere really respectful when they came to do viewings. We had a NIGHTMARE landlord to say the least and they all really went out of their way to help us deal with it in the best way possible. We had initially rented the property through another estate agents who were of no use to us, ignoring our emails etc. The property was it was just for sale with Central so we never paid them any fee or expected much from them but they really helped us vacate the property as smoothly as possible

I sold my flat through Central and would recommend them, they were really quick to get lots of people in for viewings and gave honest feedback. Rich was always available to chat - even about the properties that I was viewing to buy with other agents and I absolutely value his opinion. I felt the progression team weren't as strong, I didn't feel they kept me in the loop and they rarely returned my calls or emails unless pushed. However Rich made this experience positive overall as I feel he went over and above in terms of getting my sale through and making himself available when I needed him. Definitely the best team in E17!

Central were amazing, Richard Maher in particular went above and beyond to get a very lengthy sale completed. It was a very problematic sale and Richard was always available to offer advice, calm nerves and deal with every eventuality. He made every effort to get the sale through and provided contacts and tradespeople when needed, speaking to solicitors, buyers, freeholders, etc and negotiating a way out of some very difficult situations. We recently sold our flat through Central - a 10-month process which was entirely down to problems with our chain above, and Central were excellent throughout (especially in comparison to other agents involved in the chain). Their initial estimate of what to market the property for was pretty spot on, and we achieved close to asking price from three separate offers in the end, after lots of viewings and interest. When things turned difficult with the chain above us, Central were on hand to offer creative solutions that might help, and showed willing to go above and beyond to make it all happen - even though it shouldn't have fallen to them to fix the onward chain. Special thanks to Dean who probably earned his commission three times over from all the extra advice and counselling! Would have no hesitation recommending to others looking to sell in Walthamstow.

I had a deeply frustrating experience with Central Estates while trying to sell and buy a home. From the start, they misrepresented the situation, Katie, who managed the entire process, lied about the seller having an offer when there were none. This kind of dishonesty is incredibly unprofessional and caused unnecessary stress throughout the transaction. Not only did they fail to communicate updates, but they also dragged out the process for far longer than needed. I felt completely in the dark at times and had to chase them for information. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise against using Central Estates for any property transactions. Their lack of transparency and professionalism is unacceptable.

From viewings to buying a house, the service we received was very efficient and professional. They really know their clients and try to facilitate this difficult process. A massive thank you to Rich without whose endless hard work we would not have been able to find somewhere which suits us so well. Only slight blip was the house being listed on websites as for sale for about 4 days after our offer had been accepted, but Central were clear that this was a mistake and no competing bids were accepted. Sold my flat in Leyton in 2010 with this bunch of absolute crooks, and I really wish I hadn't. They over-value your property then try to bully you into accepting a much lower offer by shouting at you down the phone and telling you a pack of lies to try to scare you into selling your property. The owner Richard Mahar is an absolute lowlife, a slimey lying money-grabbing psychopath, who will tell you anything just so he can get his grubby hands on your money. The manager Neil Ewan used to respond to comments here, tediously trying to claim every negative review was a fake review put there by a rival agency. He stopped this when it was revealed Central had been posting fake 5 star reviews themselves and Neil had tried to BRIBE someone who posted a negative review into changing their review.

I never thought I'd say the phrase "My estate agents were great" but that genuinely was the case with Central. I had a long chat with Neil when I first went in, about the area and what I was after. He was so friendly and felt like he actually cared - especially as a first time buyer. Then I went on viewings with Rich, who was also great. Not pushy at all and also felt like he was just as excited as me. Great comms from everyone involved. I went to see other estate agents on the street and it felt like me asking just to be on their list was like I'd just punched their cat. Another agent on the street does group viewings, which was also a horrendous experience. Central were the total opposite, making that whole side of the process actually stress free - once the buyer had accepted my offer, there was no more back and forth. Couldn't recommend enough.
