GoogleWe have used Harper and Woods for many years to buy and sell properties and also to manage our rental properties. Having experienced other Estate Agents, it is clear Harper and Woods are on a different level. Everyone in the team is responsive, professional and approachable. They listen and communicate in a very open and down to earth manner. They do what they say they will do when they say they will do it, and we all know how rare that is these days. Rachael and her team of Tenancy Managers have been indispensable - finding great tenants quickly and taking care of their needs as they arise, which is how it should be. They always go the extra mile to solve an issue if necessary. If you are buying, selling or renting property you really should choose these guys. Highly recommended.

Special mention to Andrew ,Chris for finding a new buyer when the 1st one fell through and Karen who kept us in touch with the progress of the sale. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone buying or selling a property.

GoogleDon't expect these guys to help you out if your landlord is refusing to help with repairs or basic upkeep. They won't care if it takes months for them to get around to giving you basic necessities even if the landlord is breaking the law, and if you ask them enough times to help they'll just stop taking your calls. Find somewhere that actually cares about tenants' basic human rights and avoid Harper & Woods like the plague. Update to this: got out from under their greedy thumbs after being denied hot water and central heating because of their neglect. Had to get the council involved. Once their property was nice and liveable again, put up the rent by £100 extra a month, and had the gall to demand they keep our deposit. We were lucky to find a new place. Never, ever rent from these disgusting people. They won't care if you choke on mold or freeze to death in your own home so long as they get their paycheck.

GoogleRight from the very start of trying to sell my Son's flat Harper and Woods were always there to advise and help in anyway that they could. It virtually sold after a few weeks and after many viewings but then Covid 19 hit. The buyer put everything on hold and sadly decided to pull out. Andrew as always was brilliant answering any queries and questions. Jake and Karen too were extremely helpful. As of late after another buyer was found things at one point became abit uncertain and I've got nothing but praise and many thanks for Nicola. Nicola went above n beyond and we cannot thank her enough. Thankfully all went well and the property has now sold. We already have recommended H & W to numerous people and would most certainly continue to do so. Many thanks to Andrew and to all mentioned. GoogleI can’t praise these lovely people enough! From the very professional, honest valuation, the excellent advertising and the extraordinarily quick sale, right through to the continuous updates, checking in and following up on numerous tiny problems a first time seller doesn’t foresee. I feel the staff at Harper and Woods totally destroy the stereotype of the high street estate agent, they offered incredible value for money and a personal service that you’d expect from an exclusive, higher priced agent. Although my property sold very quickly I had to wait for specific paperwork to be issued before completion, again this process was made much smoother by the personal attention and genuine kindness of the staff, in particular Nicola who although I’ve never met I feel I know, as we’ve spoken so often. I highly recommend Harper and Woods and should I have the urge to sell another house I wouldn’t hesitate to contact them.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Even so, Karen made the whole experience much more pleasant and calm, keeping us in the loop and communicating in such a warm, empathetic and friendly way. Lockdown has been a very difficult time for everyone but Harper & Woods made selling painless. Response time to emails is exemplary and you are kept informed along the way - credit must go to Karen & Nicola for this. Due to our solicitors being quite slow, Karen and Andrew managed to chase them a few times to get things moving a bit quicker for us. FacebookI would 100% recommend using Harper & woods They were first recommended to us by my sister who had used them when selling her first property I then used them back in 2020 for both sale and purchase in such uncertain times of lockdown everything changed so quickly on a daily basis but Andrew kept us informed and went above and beyond to ensure everything was completed. More recently we used them again for my parents sale , such a fantastic team! Always very quick to deal with everything spoke to solicitors , buyers and always caring but professional. GoogleWe had a fantastic experience with Harper & Woods selling our house and purchasing another property recently. Communication was excellent with both Andrew and Karen throughout, and they certainly helped make the process a lot less stressful for us. Andrew's knowledge and expertise made us feel confident and at ease since the valuation appointment, and Karen certainly went above and beyond to keep all parties informed of everything and actually helped speed up the process for us. In fact, we decided on Harper & Woods to sell our house with because of the brilliant experience we had had with them a few years prior as first-time buyers. We would absolutely use them again in the future, and we cannot recommend them enough. We would like to mention the Lettings team too, as we also own a rental property that has been managed by Harper and Woods over the past few years, and their service has been great so far. Communication with both Rachael and Mel has been excellent, and we feel like we can rely on them to manage all aspects of the rental process without worry. We would certainly recommend Harper & Woods for lettings as well.

GoogleWe had a fantastic experience with Harper & Woods right from the start. Andrew visited to give us a valuation on our property. There was no hard push to go with them like some other estate agents and we were left to make a decision in our own time. Communication between Andrew and ourselves was swift, photos were taken and the house was up for sale quickly. Once we had an offer, we dealt with Karen, where again, communicate was prompt and queries were always followed up on. We were kept up to date of every step, so were always in the loop with no need to chase anything. It worked well for us as the house we were purchasing was with them too making everything a little easier. Andrew and Karen were genuinely interested in us and our needs, it wasn't just business only which made them stand out. Their service was faultless and would definitely recommend them!

GoogleI normally don’t like doing this but it'd be wrong not to share the facts with other people so they don’t make the mistake I did. I worked with this harper & woods for around three years they are not bad people but they managed my property very very badly during the time I was with them I lost quite a bit of rental money to be more precise once 4 months, another occasion 2 months and the last one 3 months and the reason for this was purely because they didn’t understand that they are hired to manage property i.e. report anything from tenant immediately, when house vacant do the viewings for potential tenants regularly - the biggest issue with them was that they would do the views once in two weeks. There was a lot of interests from people but half of them wouldn’t turn up for the viewings and the reason was a very logical one - the viewing are supposed to be done at least in 2-3 days time they were doing once in 2 weeks. I brought this up to them straight away but they as usual gave me a lot of reasons. Later on I found out that one of the owners lived on that side and the viewings were taking place while he was on his way home and not only in two weeks time but also around 5pm and later, it was almost always this pattern. It wasn't just the viewings the issue also the management while the tenant was there, in one occasion tenant reported dump in the house and they took months to action despite me chasing them all the time and even escalated this issue and they were saying that it was the tenant that wasn't available. I doubt this was true as the tenant eventually reported the issue to the council which shows that both the tenant and myself were very frustrated at them not doing their job. For this case there were conflicting reports between different people at harper & woods. The total loss that I had from harper & woods is around 8 months worth of rent plus the council tax and electricity standing charges. Landlords like me do renting out not because they have a lot of money but because this helps them cover other living costs such us help pay for my own rent. One can only imagine the direct and bad impact this would have even if it was one month without a tenant. I wouldn't recommend harper & woods even if they are to offer to manage the property for free as there will be a lot that you will lose. P.S. From their reply below they seem to think that 8 months of non rent is all OK - well here is the news for them it is NOT and they should feel very lucky that I haven't sued them for loss of profit yet. I recommend people check the honest reviews.
Thanks for your review. We as an agent bent over backwards as we do for all of our clients at every stage throughout your management process, including meeting contractors at unsociable hours and carrying out viewings in the dark with torches due to there being no power at the property. These periods of ‘non rent’ spread over 3 years were at stages when the property was vacant after tenants had vacated and the property was being advertised for rent on all major property portals. Over these periods we booked in close to 90 viewings and showed the property 58 times. These viewings were booked in for mornings before clients went to work and also evenings to fit in with work commitments. Although the office closes at 5:30pm many of the viewings took place after 6pm to help assist people’s needs and to help you fill the property. There were many points of feedback passed onto us from tenants including concerns about damp, property being too small, property being to close to the football ground, electric and gas key meters being located down in the basement as well as a number of people not turning up for appointments despite receiving the usual email and text reminders. We understand your frustration regarding the property being vacant at these points but please rest assured that we as a company did everything in our power to help you find a tenant. I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best for the future.

Nothing was ever too much trouble and I cannot express enough what a brilliant and lovely team they are. I also don't think we would have our dream home if it wasn't for Nicola, she was brilliant. Thank you Nicola, Jake and Karen, we don't ever want to move again but if we did, we would go with Harper and Woods.
