I contacted this branch to give me a valuation of a property I own. I had a good honest chat about what I wanted with David jones the valuation manager who said he would get back to me within a couple of days. I heard nothing so after 5 days a contacted them again but conveniently David was out of the office so I asked again if he could contact me. What a surprise he couldn’t be bothered to return my call. Avoid using this branch at Wakefield because they will let you down. Very very poor.

Very helpful & professional. This was the sale of my mothers' property carried out remotely as I live elsewhere. From the initial valuation by David through to the management of accompanied viewings by Janet they were always informative. Janet handled sale negotiations very efficiently and the Reeds Rains app was helpful in monitoring progress. Happy to thoroughly recommend.

My girlfriend and I recently rented a property through Reeds Rains Wakefield. We moved up from London which meant that we were unable to view properties in person and were naturally a bit nervous about this. However, the whole Reeds Rains team was excellent and made sure we were well looked after throughout the whole process. We mostly dealt with Sam & Claire, both of whom were fabulous. Claire was the main agent dealing with us and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect us. She is a naturally warm and caring person and was always responsive and happy to answer our (many!) queries, making sure the whole process went smoothly and our new home is the perfect place to start the next chapter in our life. Everyone we dealt with at Reeds Rains in Wakefield were really helpful, friendly and professional. We had recently had a poor experience with another estate agent. The difference with Reeds Rains was like night and day. David came to value our house. He was smart and approachable. He gave us an honest assessment of the pros and cons which we appreciated. There was no pressure and no bs! Once we signed up we dealt mainly with Janet . She always answered our questions in an honest way but never made us feel like our questions were stupid. She kept in contact with us and made us at all times and really guided us through the process. Personally I would not use the solicitors that came as a package again due to communication issues. Sam from Lettings and her team of Claire and Leanne have provided an excellent 10/10 all round service. The quality and quantity of photos have been to a very high standard. We have been pleased that our properties have been matched to the correct tenants and the properties a let quickly whilst carrying out the correct checks. Myself and my partner were looking to move house immediately after lockdown as we are expecting our first baby soon. Finding our dream house would not of been possible without the help and support we were given by the staff at Reeds Rains Wakefield- mainly Leanne Plummer. Whilst most companies appeared to be working slower after re-opening after lockdown Reeds Rains were the opposite. Everything was dealt with quickly and I was continuously reassured by Leanne who kept me up to date with everything. All paperwork ect was done online and social distancing/ safety measures were adhered to when myself and my partner took our ID into the shop. Even now we are happily moved in our new home Leanne still checks that everything is ok and is responsive when we have needed her. She is very hardworking, kind and easy to talk to. I can’t thank her enough for helping us and supporting me especially through this difficult time.

I would give 0 stars to this estate agents especially Janet Higgins she is very rude and abrupt. We got paper work done within 4 days and she still saying we are taking time with the paper works especially when bank holiday approached. She also blamed us for putting different amount of bids which shouldn’t have a problem with her but she had a problem with that she is very racial discrimination against colour people.

As a landlord of ten years or so, who has managed and maintained my own properties, I was reluctant to go to an Agent. After some research I saw that Reeds Rains had excellent feedback. I met Sam the Lettings Manager, and she assessed the rental potential of the property. Sam and her team at Wakefield were first class. Managing viewings, vetting applicants and keeping me informed. I was very impressed by their professionalism. They were very friendly too. I would not hesitate to use Reeds Rains at Wakefield again. I've never seen an unprofessional agency like Reed rains ,my partner nd I acquired a house from this agency , we were asked to pay for holding fees which we did ànd they assured us the house has been given to us what they need is our particulars to proceed with ,we gave them everything I mean everything" for them to proceed .This agency gave us an assurance saying everything is been finalised and they keys will be handed over to us on the 29th of October 2025,our old tenancy agreement too was due on the 31st of October 2025 which we had already given notice to our landlord that we will be moving on that day ,The funny thing my partner kept calling reeds rain to let them know how far with the process and they responded back saying everything is fine and the keys will be handed on the 29th ..fast forward 29th we called them and the prosponded it to 31st which was our last day to evacuate from the house and move into the new house .On the 31st my partner called and what they could tell him is they are still on the process whaaaat .I'm currently a 3 months postpartum mum was traumatised as we didn't know where to go ,called our landlord to check if he can continue with us again us we've been disappointed by reeds rains. Infact would say reeds rains ain't reliable and unprofessional so please be aware. Don't be a victim !!!

I rented a property through this agency. Keys were handed in with hours of delay, even though landlord specifically said "hand them the keys", the way the representative talked was aggressive at first and then superficial, the keys, I had to go to the agency, not handed at property, no meeters handed, even though again, landlord specifically asked so. Given my previous experience with other agencies, not so good. I give 2 stars because there was a bit of professionalism from Samantha, but I would give 0 stars for Claire.

Sadly no option for zero star. Had the misfortune of trying to purchase a property with them. After having had an offer accepted they then decided to inform me of a cost i had no option to but to pay as a buyer even though had multiple times to declare it should they have wanted to. Disgusting post complaint service. I would never buy, sell or have them involved in any property. I read in other reviews how bad Janet is. Absolutley reaks of desperation dealing with her. Didn't inform me correctly of charges and made accusations regarding the tenant with zero evidence to support them. Then when questioned as to why she din't inform me of the charges puts the phone down like a sulky child. Couldn't organise an xmas do at Tetleys as the saying goes.
