Worst agency I have come across

I've rented with some bad agencies in the past, but these guys are on another level. Several cases of mistaken identity - had repair jobs turn up at my door stating my name and house number when I hadn't called anyone.Communicated with us over a move date and then a week before tried to claim we hadn't given notice. Nearly last two months rent as a result, which we had to fight for.On moving out they picked on every spec of dust and blamed us for damages that were already there. They lost email communications from us, which led to issues on the moving out period as above.They promised to fix spelling errors in our names on contract, but then refused and stated it's because our official documentation arriving in the country was wrong - still can't believe that one.All in all a terrible experience... Avoid!

If you are heartless and want your ex out of a house SHE has paid for as SHE was the only one working and dont care if she becomes homeless these are the heartless people to use .not only will the sell the house from underneath her but also make her HOMELESS then when it does sell they will harass and harass her even though she has a month to leave they will make sure you are so uncomfortable in a house you have lived in for 25 years they dont care if you are on the strèets belongs they get their ££££and the staff are just as heartless

Extremely Disappointing and Stressful ExperienceI had the worst experience with Reeds and Rains. The property was listed on the market for £850 per month, but we agreed on a rent amount of £800. I paid the advance rent of £800 to Reeds and Rains, and I was instructed to pay the security deposit directly to the landlord. All parties signed the tenancy agreement at the agreed amount of £800.We moved into the property with all our belongings, but just two days later, Reeds and Rains contacted us, demanding that we re-sign the contract for £850. They have repeatedly threatened me and my wife, saying that if we do not sign the contract at the higher amount, we would have to leave the property. This has caused tremendous stress for myself and my family.With over 150 years of experience in the UK market, I never expected such unprofessional behavior from Reeds and Rains. I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend this estate agent to anyone.

Not had a great experience with this estate agents, i understand that they are not allowed to tell you that the house is a repossession but the house i purchased had a garage that the estate agent didnt tell me about even though there were garage keys on the bunch of keys they had, that then cost double the amount of solicitors fees. After i put an offer in on the house and i had got a mortgage for it i got a sales memorandum through with all the information on stating that it had 28 days to complete which i was never previously told, buying a house is a huge process and not being told certain things and left in the dark about things is really not professional or great for the buyer so i wouldn't recommend Reeds Rains to anyone or use them again myself. I have also later found out that although the ad for the house sale said Council Tax Band B it is actually a C so, these should not happen as its all extra cash for the purchaser

Disappointing and Frustrating Experience with Reed Rain Plaistow

I recently had a very unsatisfactory experience with Reed Rain Plaistow while attempting to purchase a property. The process was fraught with miscommunications and a lack of professionalism that ultimately led to a great deal of frustration.Initially, when I contacted the agency, I was asked to provide all my personal information and proof of funds. I informed them that my husband would be viewing the property on our behalf, and was advised to have him call directly. However, when he did call, he was told he couldn’t view the property without my details, despite me having already provided them. This initial mix-up should have been a warning sign of the confusion that was to follow.On the day of the viewing, my husband's appointment was nearly disrupted by a last-minute call to change the time, which was impossible for us due to his work commitments. During the viewing, the agent Greg was uncommunicative and only responded when I directly questioned via video call, despite my husband being present with him. My real disappointment began during the offer process over the Christmas period. After placing an offer, I received an out-of-office reply from Dea and was instructed to email the main branch. Despite doing so, I received no acknowledgment or update, leading to uncertainty and the need for further follow-ups. I telephoned and spoke to Greg, who sounded like I was a bother for calling to ask if my offer had been received. Once Dea returned, there was some back-and-forth over the offer, and I submitted the figure she suggested, which was eventually declined. I even increased my offer significantly above the asking price, only to be informed later that day that another offer had been accepted. Surely an estate agent would give an option to increase to give the seller the best price. I have since read other reviews on another platform that they have done this to other buyers through this office. The entire process felt underhanded, leading me to believe that there was a preferred buyer from the start. The lack of transparency and poor communication have left me feeling that Reed Rain Plaistow is not only unprofessional but also dishonest. This experience has been a complete waste of my time and has significantly impacted my view of their business practices.

We sold our property via Reeds Rains having had four local agents provide us with a valuation. The valuer Janine was very friendly, professional and helpful when she visited our property, which is why we chose to sell with them despite three of the four agents quoting the same fee. Our property sold within a week of marketing and the sales negotiators kept us updated throughout the offer process. Many thanks to Teresa, Rebecca and Chris who were friendly and helpful throughout. Teresa was also very helpful in chasing solicitors when we were struggling to get hold of them for updates. We did have some issues regarding exchange/completion which we suspect was primarily to do with lack of communication on the solicitor's part, however since we were persuaded to utilise Reeds Rains' panel solicitor to prevent these issues, we have deducted a star from our review.

Buying my house was a long process due to being in a chain and it taking longer than expected for the seller to move out. I was in contact with reeds rains regularly and I always spoke to the same lady (Teresa Rocket) which was really nice. I can’t fault Teresa she helped me with everything I needed and even just listened when I was worried! Teresa made the process a lot easier as it is comforting to here the same voice at the end of the phone when taking such a huge step in life.

I would just like to say how wonderful & professional Reeds Rains in Castleford have been in selling our house and also selling my parents in laws Bungalow at the same time. They had offers on both properties extremely quickly and ALL the staff have been so helpful and friendly , it has taken much of the stress from selling it away from us. Although all the staff have been involved throughout, Teresa Rockett was tasked with following everything up after the sale was agreed and her perseverance in dealing with the whole chain to keep us in touch and push it to completion has been admirable to say the least. Thank you to the Castleford team and now enjoying my lovely new home and if anyone is undecided who to sell with, these staff will look after you 100%.

Reeds Rains Castleford were excellent from start to finish. Rebecca came out to value the house and was very professional as well as friendly . We knew we had chosen the right estate agents when everything started to happen almost immediately. The house sold in 7 days ! Communication from the Castleford branch was very impressive especially Angela Bresnan who not only emailed but also phoned us every step of the way to keep us updated. No request was too much and she did an excellent job acting as a go between for us, the buyer and the solicitor. If ever we move again then I wouldn't hesitate to use Reeds Rains again and have already recommended them to other people .

Very very painful renting experience so…

Very very painful renting experience so far and still not moved. There's always something else that needs to be done. They never call back when they promise to. They withhold important information. I just don't trust them anymore. Not even sure I can ever move my family into their new home. Now looking elsewhere. My stress levels are sky high due to Reeds Rains.After the reply from Stuart: thank you, thank you. This is the first time in 4 weeks of pain and frustration that someone has actually said SORRY! Such a simple word with so much meaning. You guys are experts with your processes, but to the detriment of the human element. Your customers are all human. Don't ever forget that !I haven't received a sorry from the agent yet for not returning calls and lying, and withholding information though but this is a good start. Thank you Stuart.
