They don't complete what they say they will complete and when they will complete it. I am disappointed with myself that I didn't just complete the process myself to find a tenant - It would have been less stressful than trying to manage the agents and filter through what information is actually truthful and correct.

As a rule I do not normally do reviews: although in this case I’ll make an exception:Allen&Harris have been absolutely amazing after taking over as sole Agents the sale of my home I cannot not praise them enough From the time they picked up the baton from a wasteful fourteen weeks with a another agent “in days Allen&Harris had their sign for Sale up outside the door”, another couple of days passed and the photographer was at the house taking photos very professionally accomplished I cannot praise the whole team enough from Vicky’ who was at the helm and Melonie’ sales administrator and other team members the whole operation was as smooth as silkI was also introduced to a solicitor who handled my affairs on the conveyancing side with swiftness and professionalism taking a lot of the usual pressures out of my hands Every step of the sale was impressive keeping me notified every step of the way even notifying me of scheduled appointments to the house of interested viewers: not unusual you may think however they have the keys am I am on holiday. Further communication can be had via their Website whereby your able to keep up with up to date statusDon’t do the same as me and waste fourteen weeks choose “Allen&Harris”.

If I could leave a zero I would. As a tenant I have had the worst experience with this company. No communication whatsoever. Arrived to my new home to discover a bulging ceiling from leak, condemned Boole so no heating during December, the property had not been cleaned so was foul smelling and the drain was severely blocked. I’ve reported all this to them and they still haven’t fixed the drain which has now resulted in the property flooding and causing damage to my appliances and wooden furniture. Phoned on Saturday morning as soon as I was able and was fobbed off. I have had no one to contact and been sat in my damp house with the squelching carpets and kitchen flooor all this for £800 a month. Bloody joke

If i could i would leave zero star.They misled me, at the first meeting and valuation, promised things but didn't deliver, they encouraged me to accept the first offer as buyers were cash buyers, this turned out it was not the case.The deal fell through when allegedly my buyers buyers pulled out, two weeks before the moving date. Most untrustworthy agents I've ever dealt with, I'm disabled,with several chronic illnesses, the whole experience made me very ill, from August 2022 to date 8th Jan 2923 I'm still in my home surrounded by boxes packed up to move.ZERO STARS FROM ME

First time buyer so definitely lacking in experience when shown around the property I was interested in August. When I went to view the property I got a very lack luster response from the employee showing me around. I went ahead and made an offer at asking price on the property I was informed another party was interested and it went to best and final. My offer on a property was accepted. On rightmove it never said sold stc and as I started the process of giving my information etc and paying for searches. I learned about two weeks later that even after my offer had been accepted the previous person that had placed an offer also had placed a higher offer but that the owners were sticking with me. I started getting worried and was trying to move the process ahead to buy the property best I could. A month of so into the process Allen and Harris contacted me again to say that the owner was no longer going with my offer and yet again the other bidder had increased there offer. They asked if I was willing to go higher and I stated I was at the top of my budget as is. They than went ahead with this other party. This week in November I received a call to say the property was back up for sale. I quickly said I was not interested and buying a different property. I thought from start to finish with them they where very unprofessional and the specific employee I dealt with was not particularly interested in dealing with me and wanted a better price on the property probably for her own benefit.

Absolutely abysmal service. Have been trying to get my tenancy deposit returned since early October. Been sent round the houses, calling offices in Newport and Newcastle with no joy. No answer from the Lettings dept so have to call Sales. Both advisor and office manager not prepared to listen to my concerns, instead resort to talking over me and then have the audacity to call me abusive. Requested complaints info, have called but no answer. This is MY money they are holding on to. I can't get it back

GoogleI am extremely disappointed at the level of professional incompetence and callous disregard I have experienced at the hands of the team at Allen and Harris Penarth. The property I agreed to lease was in terrible condition when I arrived. I was told by Lisa Snooks the property was to be cleaned before move in date but this was not the case. The refrigerator and freezer were mouldy. The oven and extractor are inoperable and damaged. The heating units also inoperable and damaged. The foul smell emanating from the defunct dishwasher. The list goes on and on. But instead of helping the team at Allen and Harris Penarth are attempting to gaslight me into believing things are not that bad when these issues represent a clear breach of schedule 3 article 3.1 of the agreement. I would definitely not recommend Allen and Harris or the team members Lisa Snooks, Katie Duke and Millie Twyman as they all have displayed a total lack of professional competence. I now have to proceed with legal action against sequence U.K. due to the intransigence of these individuals.

GoogleI am just able to give only 5 stars. Would love to give more stars to the fantastic work Katie and Lauren from the Allen and Harris Estate Agents, Penarth branch have done for us with our house move . Having had a bitter experience with two other letting agents initially we were sceptical, however Katie helped with us by providing updates on the property and also kept us posted on the progress. On the other hand Lauren at the branch answered to every call I made which I have not experienced with any other letting agents, because I will be offered call back where they don't get back to us. But Lauren answered all call and called me back as promised for any updates. Excellent example for customer service! I wish them both all the best for their future endeavours. I would recommend Allen Harris, Penarth Branch without doubt

I called to enquire about a property to rent. The female staff on other end asked how much i was earning annually & i mentioned i was working p.time & would recieve UC support to pay the remainder but she said i dont qualify to have a viewing. Even though i have a checkable 13yr ref. from my present landlord ISNT THIS DISCRIMINATION.??!!!

Where do I start? What an unprofessional shower the westbury office are! It started with them booking the wrong photographer for listing the property (wrong camera so we had to go through 2 photography sessions). Branch and assistant managers turning up late for viewings. Turned branch manager away as he turned up half way through me showing a purchaser the house, so I thought no point in him being there half way through. Potential buyers not vetted properly or checks in place to make sure they already had a mortgage in principle from a lender. I’m sure they just let anyone with a pulse view the property. Last insult was 2 offers received and not one was negotiated to nearer the property asking price. Why appoint a “negotiator” if they can’t negotiate. Total waste of time appointing this company in my view!

sold my house through allen and harris. intial estimate was higher than anyone else's, it should have rung alarm bells. I went with them but after two months no offers so had to drastically reduce the price. Once the sale was agreed they only seemed interested in the buyer. Had a weeks notice to move out as they were bending over backwards for the buyer. All in all a very miserable experience that left me feelinh ripped off and used

Booked a viewing for a property we were interested in buying which was promptly canceled without a call to explain why, but my wife and I have had multiple calls every day for two weeks pestering us to sell with them. Bordering on harassment if I'm honest. I've asked them to remove our contact details from their database, but the calls continue. Contact Rettie instead, they're good people. These guys appear to be so desperate for business, quite the red flag

Very very disappointed with Allen & Harris Westbury. Extremely poor communication skills whilst selling your property! You have to repeatedly ask for updates.They allow long lapses with communication with yourself and the buyer of your property which results in endless unnecessary delays.We honestly feel they concentrate on obtaining new business but once you’ve signed their contracts they do not have sufficient staff to even manpower their local offices.Sadly I wouldn’t recommend this local office as it’s been completely frustrating to work with the team.However, the sales person who originally came out to value our property was indeed courteous and professional and I’m afraid it ended right there.We paid over £5,000 in fees where as our solicitors did most of the sales coordination work. Allen & Harris didn’t even give us a courtesy call to let us know that we had finally completed and we’re about to release the keys.

7 months. 7 months we have been in a chain with a property being marketed by Allen and Harris. Twice they have failed to complete due diligence on buyers. Twice their in-house mortgage broker has lied about mortgage offers for buyers when underwriters have turned them down. I wish I had known that their business practices were so appalling I would have rejected an offer on the basis that they were representatives of someone in the chain.
