I approached Allen & Harris after two prospective sales of my house had fallen through with another agent. From the start the staff were very proactive and made me feel confident that my sale would be a priority and have their full attention. Initially I dealt with Sara, who was very helpful and got the ball rolling quickly. After that Janeal dealt with the sale and throughout was proactive, with great communications and frequent updates about the progress of the sale. Requests for information were always dealt with the same day. Janeal and all the staff in Penarth are friendly and very positive, so despite the inevitable ups and downs of a house sale I always felt everything was being done to ensure the sale would be completed as quickly as possible. Based on the service I received, I have changed the letting of my rental property to Allen & Harris. They were recommended to me by a friend who is an estate agent and I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking to buy, sell or rent.

Paisley office - Professional, friendly, great experience

What a great experience we had selling our parents’ house. Allen and Harris were totally professional and took all the hassle out of selling a property which is 2 ½ hours away from me. The Matterport walkthrough showed the house beautifully. Allen & Harris did all the viewings - 15 in the space of 2 weeks - and secured a great price for us. They were friendly, respectful and kept us informed at all times. This was the Paisley office - a great team!

Charity Shop Sue could show this lot a few things about management. Broker was an imbecile, couldn’t get him off the phone until we paid, then couldn’t get him on the phone. His manager was a nylon shirt wearing narcissist. They caused delay, drift, and endless stress. Avoid like the plague. Financial ombudsman here we come.

PORT TALBOT OFFICE - The worst experience I've ever had with an estate. I had a pleasant viewing with the owner who showed me around when the estate agent wasn't available. Loved the house a d spent 2 hours chatting with the owner who seemed more than keen to sell to me, even asked me to exchange numbers to keep each other updated as this agent allowed his last sale to fall through and never notified him.Later the same day I txt the owner and offered full asking, telling him he could take as much time as needed to decide. He replied instantly and accepted. I emailed the agent and formally submitted my offer as well as my mortgage in principle proof of funds (far more than enough to Substantiate my offer) I phoned the next working day a d the agent Sarah Rowlands was instantly offish and dismissive, huffing down the phone and acting completely put out that I had called. She was annoyed me and the owner had contact and told me nothing had been accepted and viewings would go ahead still.I heard nothing til I was contacted by Rachel in there mortgage team. I told them I had already got a lender I was happy with but was pushed in to chatting with her anyway. After talking through the mortgage info I was then called yo say my offer was accepted and it would be taken off the market....that was until dat laterite Rachel had decided upon herself to go behind my back and speak to my lender and tell me they wouldn't lend to me...pure rubbish, i had personal contact with my lender and was told that agents tend to use intimidating and bullying tactics to force people to pay for their services.As soon as I refused to pay for the agents in house mortgage service I was ghosted and then told my offer had been gazumped and owner stopped contact. I took it as a blessing in disguise as I would never deal with Sarah or Rachel or this crooked company. A week after that I wascontactedby the owner again who assumee I was still buying...I had to be the one to tell him that his agents lied to him and me and that I was messed around and they declined my offer without his knowledge.Avoid these unprofessional,dishonest,useless, crooked liars at all cost!!!

Great service again from Lisa and Millie in finding new tenants at the property. Extremely efficient and professional. Recommend them to any other landlord. This is the second time in a year that we have used Allen and Harris to find tenants for one of our properties. Lisa and Millie went about the search professionally and efficiently and there was never a doubt that tenants would be found. The whole process from start to finish was expertly dealt with, even with the difficulties of Covid lockdown ending. The decision to let a cherished family home was not an easy one for us. We had no experience of what was involved. From the moment we met Lisa we felt reassured. First time buyers - Excellent team

We were buying as first time buyers, we had no idea what we were meant to be doing and when. Our sale wasn't the easiest due to many complications from the developers, but Carly and the team really went above and beyond for us. I was able to call nearly every other day and they'd all be cheerful, tell me I am not a fool for constantly chasing, and just being absolutely lovely. I highly recommend Allen and Harris! Very little communication. AVOID!!

Avoid this company at all costs. I used the PPAISLEY branch, I was misquoted on the fee cost and over quoted on the value of my property. So, it cost me MORE to sell and my property was worth LESS than they said. After taking time off work to allow Allen & Harris' photographer in my property I ended up asking them to use my own photographs. I was told I would be contacted once a week with an update, but this rarely happened. Prior to my flat selling I hadn't heard anything for over 3 weeks. I has to ask them to check viewers were actually viewing a property that fitted they're search criteria. A constant reason a buyer wasn't interested was that it was in the wrong area. Goodness sake! Google maps!! Check with the buyer where they DO want to stay!! That was beyond strange, why view somewhere that is not in your search area? I honestly doubted half my viewers even existed. Weekly calls from the office from Leanne soon stopped, these calls were embarrassing as Gary who sold me on using Allen & Harris had assured me that my property was in high demand. This was obviously not the case OR this company were not doing their job. I eventually had to chase up this company to make sure they were doing all they could to sell my property. I think they were more relieved my property sold than I was, I got ONE phone call to say an offer was being initiated and that was the last I heard from them. Everything then came thro my solicitor. They did practically NOTHING to earn their over-rated fee. Avoid this company at all costs. I have only awarded 1 star as there is no option to give ZERO.

Cannot speak highly enough of the service offered by Lisa. Having had the purchase of a house fall through at the last stages, we found ourselves on the verge of being homeless, in the midst of lock down! Within 48 hours of identifying a rental property, we were signing off the final forms and booking a removal firm. This is in no small part due to the service Lisa provided, she recognised the circumstances we found ourselves in and the stress it was beginning to cause and got to work quickly and efficiently. Having been searching for a new rental property for over 2 years we had just about given up on the prospect of finding somewhere that will meet our needs. Fortunately, a property we fell in love with became re-available after we'd missed the opportunity. We were thrilled to hear from Lisa a short while later to let us know that we are the next in line. Would give zero if I could

Would give zero if I could. We had lots of issues with the house and the estate agents just ghosted us. To this day, they still owe me money for the keys because they couldn't even manage to get keys cut right (never heard of checking?). I keep asking when it will be returned and Lewis just says "I will get back to you". Special shoutout to Lewis for being particularly useless on this matter and for maintenance issues overall. They left us with broken furniture for a whole year- they kept saying they would send someone to fix it but never did. The house had an awful mould problem- they sent someone over to give quotes to install extractor fan in bathroom but nothing came of that. They tried to milk money out of the deposit but we argued so they backed out (their claims had no merit). Would not recommend. They don't check that houses are suitable to live in, and they don't respond or care if there's an issue with the house. Not responsible, practical, or reliable.
