GoogleDue to my previous Review being removed I have had to amend and repost for the second time. I used this estate agent to rent a flat in West London. The sign up process was quick and simple. Once I had moved in the nightmare begun. The flat had fleas and wasn’t professionally cleaned. After a few calls and emails both were rectified. Biggest issue I came across during the tenancy was a dispute about a crack that started to appear in the bedroom wall. After going back and forth over a few months via emails, calls, reports, inspections and visits I was told by the director of Lakin and Co that the wall would be fixed during a visit to the property. A few workmen came on different occasions to give quotes for the wall repair..... but no work was completed. The tenancy ended and the wall was not repaired. To my disgust Lakin & Co had to audacity to place a deduction from my deposit for the cost of repairing the wall (plus other uncalled for deductions), which started to disintegrate at no fault of my own. After disputing these deductions via the official deposit scheme all costs were removed and I was paid back near to my full deposit. I won the case. I have never been treated in such a manner by any company in my life. I will never use their services again and would not recommend anyone else to either. This is my honest experience with this company, I hope my review won’t be removed again.

GoogleMy wife and I chose to use Lakin&Co because we felt that a smaller local company would be able to provide a more personal service. We were very pleased with our choice. Our sale took place during the period of the increased concern about the virus and the possibility of a lockdown and the lockdown itself. We were kept informed and guided by helpful, friendly and professional staff to a successful completion . We would recommend Lakin to any one.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleI was quite impressed by this estate agent and how professional they were. It took a bit of time to find the right tenants for us, but are very happy with the ones they eventually found for us. Managed to achieve a rent very close to the asking price. We had excellent support during the process of preparing the house for the tenants and paperwork. We were also impressed that they work really long hours and are very committed. Can only recommend and would definitely entrust them with my property again rather than the larger estate agents on the high street.

GoogleI had the pleasure of dealing with Lakin & Co for both a purchase and subsequent Letting recently. I found all the staff to be extremely efficient, helpful and honest (which can be a rare quality in Estate Agents). Their charges are lower than most and include VAT so you know exactly where you are financially. They arranged cleaning and an inventory without adding a fee and ensured these was all done in a timely manner without the need to chase. I would definitely recommend them to any Buyer, Landlord or Tenant and I WILL be using them again.

GoogleLakin & Co have been looking after my rental property for 7 years. They have always been helpful and professional. I recently had terrible trouble at the property and they could not have been more helpful and supportive. When I decided to sell, they kept me informed all the time of any developments and my property has been sold in just a few months. They made a very stressful time more bearable and I could not recommend them enough.
